Day 1

London - Present-Day London

London is a fast-paced city encircling the banks of the River Thames. Elegant cobblestone streets lead the way to sophisticated supper clubs at the top of skyscrapers overlooking the vast cityscape. Historic pubs have roaring fires near booths that once held the likes of Charles Dickens. Wide avenues turn into narrow lanes lined by shops selling rare British books and chic clothing stores showcasing hand-sewn slacks and suspenders. An air of aristocracy continues do drift across the nearly mythological manicured walkways of Hyde Park. Your private transfer meets you at Heathrow International Airport, and escorts you to your luxurious hotel situated near the heart of London. Riverboats cruise down the Thames. Laughter spills out of comfortable pubs when locals clock out for the day. The aroma of fresh Yorkshire pudding blends in with stone-fire pizza and celebrated curries. The cosmopolitan ambiance blends with the history of the city with ease and excitement.

Luxury Netherlands, Germany & Czech Republic Travel Review: Amsterdam, Prague, Cologne, Munich, Local Cuisine, 12-Night Tour
Our trip began in Amsterdam and ended in Prague, with Cologne and Munich in the middle. We also visited some small towns in Germany. Stephane, from the travel agency helped us from start to finish to design the trip. Speaking with Stephane was always pleasant and easy, he was very friendly and great to deal with. There were a couple of issues on the trip itself and they were handled quickly and efficiently by Stephane. He got us great drivers taking us place to place and knowledgeable and helpful tour guides.

Luxury European Vacation Review: England, Netherlands, Belgium, London, Amsterdam

Our European travel agency and our travel specialist did an exceptional job arranging our trip November 2014 to Amsterdam, Belgium and London. Her advice  and recommendations were perfect! She arranged private guides for out trip which were excellent especially our guide who guided us in and around London. We have traveled extensively and used private guides everywhere but this guide by far was the best!! His knowledge, expertise and flexibility made our visit perfect. The Toren in Amsterdam was a wonderful choice for lodging. It's central location right on the canal was not only beautiful but convenient. The Egerton House Hotel was amazing!!! Again, a perfect location with an incredible staff. They made us feel like family. Overall a perfect trip thanks to our travel agency and our travel specialist!! We will be booking our trip next fall with this capable, accommodating, professional organization-simply the BEST!!!

France, Netherlands & Belgium Luxury Trip Review, Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Normandy, Calvados Tasting, Cheese Tasting
The trip to Amsterdam, Brussels, London and Normandy was wonderful....aside from two hotels that were not up to our standards for luxury travel.   The travel company was quite diligent and flexible in helping us plan the itinerary, especially since we interrupted the trip with our own plans to attend Wimbledon in London, and we also arranged for our own hotels in Amsterdam and Brussels.   The tours and tour guides they arranged for us were terrific.  The car services were on time, the cars were clean, and the drivers professional and courteous.    Ordinarily we would have given the travel agency 5 stars, but they overlooked booking us tickets for the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam; they tried to get us tickets after the fact to no avail, so took care of massages for us at the spa in our Deauville hotel.  Also, the hotels they chose for us in the towns of Rouen and Caen were standard fare - clean and well located - but not the top quality we would like when traveling.

European Vacation Review: Netherlands, Belgium, Scotland, England, Wales, France, Brugges, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Normandy

Our European trip to Amsterdam, Brugge, Normandy, Paris, London, Cornwall, Wales and Scotland consisting of 42 days  was complicated because of all the cities and related transportation between venues.  We had no regrets over any of the amenities, the transportation arrangements (planes, trains and automobiles) and our planners did an outstanding job in listening to our interests and organizing our trip far better than we could have on our own.  This was a 45th wedding anniversary trip and we did not want to do any on the driving as we have on other international trips.  That was a great decision on our part as it took away concerns as to driving while viewing, alternate driving routines and general challenges in driving in new places.  The hotels, guides and drivers, and arrangement for tours all went extremely well.  The real test is that we would not have done anything significantly different.  We have a trip of a lifetime and we have travelled through many parts of the world.  This is the third time we have used Zicasso for our trips and this travel company surpassed even our loftiest expectations based on prior trips.  Thanks to all involved in helping to create an outstanding trip. This travel company was outstanding to work with and I would have no reservations in using them again or recommending them to other travelers.

Luxury Netherlands & France Honeymoon Travel Review: Amsterdam, Paris, Museums, Eiffel Tower, Versailles, Champs-Élysées
We worked with Sara from this travel company for our honeymoon trip to Amsterdam and to Paris. Although it was a honeymoon trip, coming from the U.S. we obviously wanted to make the most of our time in these beautiful cities. Sara put together the perfect trip for us. We saw all of the must visits in these cities through privately guided tours both at various museums and walks/tours/food tours through the cities. All of our guides were impressive in their knowledge of the tours they provided for us, and were great about answering the many questions we had. And our schedule still allowed us our own time to further explore or to take a break when needed which was very helpful. Our hotels in both locations were amazing. The locations couldn't have been any better, after staying in both cities we agreed we couldn't have picked a nicer/more central area to stay in both in Amsterdam and Paris, and both hotels had amazing customer service. Finally, on our last day we found out our flight home was delayed by 13 hours. Despite it being a Saturday, Sara was readily available and worked with us to make sure we had transportation from the hotel to the airport despite our departure time changing literally four times. We truly had an amazing, once in a lifetime trip thanks to Sara and our travel agency. Also we very much appreciated the bottle of wine from Sara which was waiting for us in our room when we arrived in Amsterdam. It was an incredible trip!
