South Africa, Botswana & Zimbabwe Luxury Travel Review: Cape Town, Kruger National Park, Okavango Delta, Wildlife, 2-Week Trip
Neil did an awesome job curating our 2-week trip. He helped us to minimize the travel time from Cape Town to our camp in Botswana (and onward to Zimbabwe and then back into Kruger Park area in SA).  Saw all the big animals in both Botswana and SA ... guides at "and Beyond" in Okavango Delta and in the game reserve in Sabi Sand respectfully were outstanding!

Travel Review: Africa Safari, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Okavango Delta, Wine Tours

We booked, what we thought would be the trip of a lifetime.  It was so fabulous in reality, that we think we need to go again!  We had turned almost all of the trip over to our travel agency to plan for us, giving them only a minimal outline of what we would like to see.  They planned the trip and only with a few minor changes (e.g. add a day for a wine tour in the Cape) we booked.  Frankly, we were a little nervous about placing a high level of trust in a company we only knew via Zicasso and the internet, but it was trust well placed and rewarded.  Our trip consisted of 3 days at Cape Town, a few nights at Londolozi in Sabi Sands/Kruger, a day at Victoria Falls, a few days at Chobe Game Lodge on the Chobe River, a few days at Savute, and the last few days in the Okavango Delta at Xugana Island Lodge.  Almost 3 weeks in total. All logistics were seamless with no problems whatsoever despite numerous hand offs and transports.

Review: Africa Safari, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Chobe National Park, Okavango Delta, Cape Town, Victoria Falls

Absolutely awesome experience – better than we imagined! We spent time in Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park, the Okavango Delta and Cape Town. The service, guides, lodgings and experiences we had in each location were exceptional. This safari travel company and our travel planner made everything easy – we were greeted each step of the way, enabling us to enjoy our African adventure without the normal stress of traveling in another country. In Zimbabwe, we experienced majestic Victoria Falls both from the air and a guided tour through the park. We enjoyed a sunset dinner cruise on the Zambezi River. Our room at the Ilala Lodge was picture perfect and comfortable, plus we could see the mist rising from the falls. In Chobe National Park, we went on numerous game drives and boat tour with a dedicated guide. The Ngoma Safari Lodge was the most visually extravagant place we ever stayed.  The view walking into the lodge literally takes your breath away as you look down at the Chobe River with herds of zebras, giraffes and antelopes moving between a small watering hole close to Ngoma Lodge and the river. Combine that with great location to Chobe National Park, exceptional guides, thoughtful and well-trained staff, delicious dinners and wonderful rooms with incredible views and you have the perfect safari location. In the Okavango Delta we saw so much wildlife (inlcuding a numerous lions and African Wild dogs and their pups) and were again blessed with wonderful guides, great staff, and lovely rooms in an amazing location at Sable Alley in the Khwai Reserve. Cape Town gave us an opportunity to relax at the boutique hotel and enjoy winery tours and a peninsula tour, as well as amazing restaurants.

Originally, I tried to work out an itinerary myself using online review and travel books, but became concerned about arranging transportation and guides. Then I contacted several different travel agencies. This travel planner quickly responded. She made everything easy for us. She worked with us on locations, desired experiences, dates and cost. We really wanted to see Botswana’s Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta. Two other companies were trying to steer us away those areas due to cost and availability, but our travel planner was able to make it happen for us. She took care of absolutely everything from lodging, car and in-Africa air travel, tours, guides, and even restaurant reservations for us in Cape Town. Amazing personalized service.

This company makes you feel very pampered and special. Our travel planner made time to meet us in Victoria Falls (her home base). In honor of our 30th wedding anniversary, the travel company surprised us with a complimentary dinner and bottle of wine at our Victoria Falls hotel, which had one of the best restaurants in Victoria Falls.

Luxury Africa Safari Review: South Africa, Namibia, Hoodia Desert Lodge, Notten's Bush Camp, Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve

Our trip to Namibia and South Africa was nothing short of magical. We were a group of 5 friends and stayed at the Hoodia Desert Lodge in the Namib Desert, Cape Town for New Year's Eve and Notten's Bush Camp in Sabi Sands Reserve. Both lodges were amazing with one of kind accommodations but not to be out down by the warm and hospitable staff. All making you feel like you are the only guest in the world while also making you feel like part of the family. Our Africa safari tour operator worked diligently to satisfy all our "wants" for our trips and was patient with any requests we made through the booking process. We just returned from our trip and are already planning our return trip to Africa!

This African Safari Tour operator planned our trip to Leroo La Tau, Okavango delta, Chobe Game Reserve,Victoria Falls andUlusaba in Sabe Sands, South Africa. This company  provided excellent and flawless service. The trip was within the budget without any surprises. Their advice and suggestions were very valuable to us. Their communications, mostly via emails, were prompt and courteous. We could communicate to the personnel in South Africa as well as in the US. The planning of the trip was detailed, including internal transfers and air bookings. We were also given detailed information regarding visas and vaccinations. We were provided with a number of phone numbers for contact, including emergency numbers. We experienced no hitch during the trip.

Travel Review: African Honeymoon, South Africa, Mozambique, Sabi Sands, Cape Town, Wine Tours, Whale Watching

Our overall planning and trip experience was amazing. We started out knowing that we wanted to have a honeymoon that was half active and half relaxing. Jen, from this Africa safari travel company worked with us to make our two week honeymoon exactly what we wanted. We were able to work with Jen to pick the exact hotels and activities we wanted to do all while staying on a budget that we prescribed. Perhaps one of the best parts of the planning process was that as upgrades for flights and hotels came up she notified us. We were very impressed with the professionalism of this company as they were responsive to all questions through email and were willing to set up calls whenever we felt we needed it.

The trip itself was also fantastic. We had a few setbacks with flights which were out of our travel company's control but the contacts that they gave us for our trip were able to help us and accommodate us appropriately in every instance.

The person who met us in the airport in Johannesburg was exceptional and was able to help us make our connection with almost no time. The hotel in Cape Town was fantastic. The view was exceptional and set the tone for our entire honeymoon. Additionally, the food and the service at our hotel was great as they made us delicious breakfasts and helped us coordinate extra activities we wanted to complete. The tour guide who took us on our wine tour was also very experienced and took us to some of the most beautiful wineries around Cape Town. Our lodge in the Sabi Sands was exceptional. The service there was outstanding and we were able to see animals that many could only hope to see in a lifetime of safaris. On our flight to Mozambique one of our planes did not show up and we were able to get in touch with our contact in South Africa to help us get to a solution where we stayed in a 5-star guest house for a night. Our resort in Mozambique was incredible. We flew in on a helicopter which was a great alternative to the five hour drive, which we heard from another couple was very rough. Our room, the service, and the food were all exceptional.
