Sweden, Denmark & Norway Luxury Trip Review: Stockholm, Copenhagen, Bergen, Oslo, Private Tours, 2-Week Travel
Friends spoke so highly about their vacation planned by this travel agency that we decided to use their services. We have traveled extensively but have always made the arrangements ourselves. The vacation organized for us was so much more than we could have imagined, including many experiences we would never have had the opportunity to know were available! We flew to and spent 5 nights days in Stockholm, trained and spent five nights in Copenhagen, flew to and spent 2 nights in Bergen, and trained and spent 3 nights in Oslo — with a private walking tour the first day in each city, except for Bergen where we had an evening private tasting tour. Each city also had day trip excursions from each of those cities, all arranged by the travel agency.  Every detail of our trip was perfect. Our four hotels were first class — located in the best part of each city! Each tour guide was so knowledgeable and kind, as well as each of our drivers.  Our only regret is that this travel company doesn’t arrange trips everywhere! They spoiled us — thank you!

Norway, Denmark, Sweden Vacation Review: Copenhagen, Stockholm, Bergen, Oslo, Aurland, Nyhavn, Drottningholm, Food Tour, Private Guide, 15-Day Trip

Our trip was great. We sincerely appreciated the knowledgeable and personable travel guides in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Bergen. I do not remember the name of our food tour guide in Oslo, but she was also an interesting and competent guide. The drivers were all on time and much appreciated.

Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark Tour Review: Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Bergen, 3-Week Trip
The Zicasso travel company did a good job of putting together all the details we needed for a three-plus-week private tour of Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, and Bergen, and all the transportation needs and trip experiences in between. As you can imagine, there were myriad details – hotels, ferries, trains, meet and greets, private guides, general tours, and the like. Everything worked without a hitch. It was exactly what we wanted and paid for.

Sweden, Norway, Denmark Couple's Trip Review: Art & Ship Museums, Music Concert, Stockholm, Oslo & Copenhagen
Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with the 17-night itinerary our travel planner arranged for us with two exceptions (see below). It included Stockholm, Oslo, Bergen, a 4-night self-drive between Bergen and Alesund, and Copenhagen. The travel planner and I communicated primarily by emails, which is my preference. She was extremely responsive to my many emails and accommodated my requests in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. My two exceptions:1. With this exception, our hotels were wonderful 4 and 5-stars. So we were very surprised when we checked into the extremely unacceptable hotel in Oslo. We would give it a 1-star rating. We stayed there only one night and then moved, at our expense, to another hotel which was nice and, surprisingly, less expensive than the first hotel. Our travel planner explained that there was a conference in Oslo during our stay and the hotels she would normally use were not available. I would have appreciated this explanation before we left and would probably have kept looking. We received a refund for the hotel.2. We were disappointed with the Norway tour and would have preferred the Oslo to Bergen train, especially since the ferry portion was duplicated in our subsequent self-drive itinerary. Also, it would have given us more time in Bergen which I really would have appreciated. We would recommend Zicasso, this travel company and our travel planner.

Sweden, Norway Travel Review: Vasa Museum, Walking Tour, Cable Car, Ferry, Fjords, 1 Week

Zicasso’s tour company planned an exceptional holiday in a short amount of time. We were quite happy with the accommodations that were selected and the restaurant recommendations.

The walking tour and the Vasa Museum were the highlights in Sweden. Bergen, Norway, was a delight! We really enjoyed the walking tour and the cable car. The ferry boat through the fjords was very enjoyable. Balestrand and the rib tour were thoroughly enjoyed by the children.

Our travel company frequently checked in with us to make sure everything was okay and was quite responsive when we had questions.

Review: Luxury Scandinavia Tour, Norway & Sweden, Oslo, Bergen, Flam, Stockholm, Fjords, Wildlife, Fine Dining

The printed itinerary was adhered to throughout the trip, but there were no suggestions as to how to spend our free time. (From an insider's point of view.  The best restaurant, coffee shop, souvenir store, museum, what not to miss etc.). The guided tours were routine with no offbeat stops that make a great city special.  The hotels were not concierge level as requested. Stockholm hotel:  no doorman, no ramp for luggage(2 flights of steps to carry one's bags), poor lighting in the bathroom, soap dish in the shower didn't drain. Flam hotel: tiny bathroom,no tissues, no free bottled water. Bergen hotel: Room 605, the worst room( abutting the elevator which BANGED all night), late check out should have been prearranged.  Cruise Ship: superior room only assigned once we boarded? Which was not the best available, fetid bathroom smells, $5/12oz bottle of water, $4.50/cup of coffee, dinner reservations set for 5:30 every night at the same table, wine package & excursions very expensive, pull down cot for second twin bed.  Tromso hotel: perfect; good room, good view, good service.  Longyearbyen hotel: not in main building, no elevator, small bathroom.

Food:  Excellent throughout

Suggestions:   No need to arrive at airports 3 hours before departure ( check in at most took 15 minutes)

Incorporate stops in the Oslo City Tour

Pack only an overnight bag for Flam, sending luggage directly to the Bergen hotel.

With the prepaid dinners include ordering ala carte.

                         Offer excursion in Flam

Describe City Tours so one can hone it to one's interest
