Everywhere you look there will be a place of legend. Rome is also a lived-in city that doesn’t stay frozen in the past. Locals hang out on the piazzas, people walk past with gelato ice creams, and the new juxtaposes with the old. You’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to a very central hotel. Detailed Description

History does not stand still, as the stories change over time until they become fascinating myths and stories. Yet history can remain authentic. It can retain its truth for all to experience. When you stand at the Athens Acropolis or ride a gondola down Venice’s canals, the history from the books falls away. When you walk the streets of Florence or explore the ruins of Olympia the history comes alive. As you travel from Byzantine churches to leaning towers and Vatican art you find that history is not merely something from the past. It is a part of the past, laying its heart open for you to discover.

No other countries have a history like Italy and Greece. Together they narrate over three millennia of civilizations and empires. Sometimes the abundance of historical sights can be baffling. At other times, it seems impossible that a certain column or sculpture has stood for over 3,000 years. In some places, the history is left in a redolent state of ruin. You must imagine the attraction’s original grandeur but you get a true sense of its age. In other places, the history has been preserved and restored to create a more polished experience. Even on a single day, it will be remarkable how many centuries you can experience. When you combine the legends of Italy and Greece you live out the history that made the world what it is today.

Begin this historical tour in Ancient Rome as you travel to the later Middle Ages. Then, visit Florence before you go back to the early Middle Ages as you explore Venice. You will also visit renowned sites such as the Vatican, Ostia Antica, Pisa, Tuscany and sailing to Venetian islands. Then, in Greece, you will hop between the eras while you visit Athens, Olympia, then rural medieval life on the Aegean Sea. Explore Byzantine remains, legendary Sparta, mysterious Mycenae, and the early healing center of Epidaurus. In Greece, you’ll spend the night in five differing destinations, and each will be a new window onto history. As you fly out of Athens, you’ll have your own historical tale to tell of a legacy that stretches from the Colosseum to the Temple of Athena.

Greece Luxury Anniversary Trip Review: Peloponnese Region, Crete Minoan Archaeological Sites, Athens Food Tour, Delphi, Nafpilon
My wife and I visited Greece for 17 days in September, 2019 to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The travel planner of this travel company organized our trip, which started in Athens, moved to a tour of the Peloponnesus region including Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplion, Olympia, and Delphi, and then finished with islands of Crete, Naxos, and Santorini. The trip was everything we dreamed of, and from the start, our planner proved to be an exceptional listener and advisor, and ultimately, the consummate planner, as every single detail came off perfectly. She knows Greece, and knows how to visit the country in a way that immerses you with the people and culture. She guided us to sites and activities that reflected our interests and helped us to avoid the crush of tourists and touristy spots. Her personal touch was felt throughout our planning and even more so during our travels, as she connected us with exceptional guides, locals, and even friends and family, who showed us wonderful hospitality. We could feel her presence each step along the way as it was evident this company had been checking in and confirming with each of our guides, drivers, and hotels. Our planner even provided us a burner phone for use during the trip (with her number on speed dial) and checked in on us occasionally to make sure everything was going well. With the hundreds of minutiae involved in planning and executing our trip, we expected a hiccup or two, but none were found. Thank you, planner and the whole travel company's staff!

Travel Review: Italy & Switzerland, Milan, Lucerne, Florence, Rome, Interlaken

The trip was good and the travel company did their job well. I'm particularly pleased with their recommended hotel location in all 5 cities - Rome, Florence, Milan, Interlaken and Lucerne. The hotels are centrally located and provides easy access to most of the desired attractions.

However, improvement can be made if we are informed clearly that certain area of visit are really really near the hotel, and easily accesible by wheelchair so that transport may not be required.

To be precise, I've enquired about visiting Trastevere and were informed that we need transport arrangement to get there. Luckily the hotel staff in Rome gave us both directiions and restaurant recommendations as it's wonderfully near our  hotel and we managed to had lunch there with our wheelchair bound son.

Similarly our morning date with a chocolate facility in Interlaken was also very near the hotel of stay, hence the car is not required for that morning.

Perhaps more detail should be given so that travellers can make their own decision on the requirement of the car as I understand these constitute a big part of the cost when making the quotation for each customer's travel plans.

Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Water Taxis! We just returned from a 21-day trip to Italy and Greece! We knew where we wanted to go, but we had no idea how to make it all happen, but Matthew and this travel company did!! In Italy, we visited 9 cities and in Greece we visited Athens and Santorini. Most all the popular sites were seen along the way from Rome to Venice, we then flew to Greece to finish out our last week. Every flight, train ride and private car transfer went off without a hitch! We were provided with a very detailed itinerary, and we knew in advance what we would be doing and how to plan for it. Every driver and city guide were very professional and strived to make sure we were happy with our travel experience! We put great expectations on this company, and they did not disappoint! The Vatican, St. Peter’s Basilica, Pantheon, Colosseum, Amalfi Coast, Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, the colors of Cinque Terre, the canals of Venice, the blue of Santorini and the Parthenon would not have been possible without Matthew and our travel company! Thank you!!Donald and Leslie W.

Review: Italy Family Vacation, Milan, Rome, Florence, Venice, Parma, Modena, San Gimignano, Lake Como, Dolomites Snowmobiling

Thanks for helping me organize my family (of 10 with diverse age from 15 to 63) trip to Italy, from Dec 17 to Dec 31. Whilst different member of my family have different expectation and requirement, I would like to comment you and your team on having planned an excellent trip that not only met each and everyone's interest and expectation but truly exceeded it.

Your planning have brought us to the lovely cities of Parma, Modena, Florence, Orvieto, Civita Di Bagnoregio, Naples, Rome, Venice, Cortina d'Amprezzo and back to our starting point Milan. Throughout the trip, we have a well balance itinerary that covered

- beautiful churches such as the Duomo in Milan, Rome, Florence,

- archeological site like Pompeii, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Pisa, Verona (learning more about romeo and Juliet)

- great local eating places (recommended by the guides you chose)

- lovely country side and unique sight in San Gimignano, Civita Di Bagnoregio, Orvieto, Lake Como,

- great gallery likes Uffizi, Academia

- Interesting activity such as Snow Mobile excursion in Cortina, Learning Cooking

- Shopping activities

With so much, yet your team immaculate planning never have us rushing from sight to sight, we were both able to enjoy and learn as much as we can of each sight and at times added more activities.

The team of guides you chose, have truly turn stone and history into exciting stories that the provided the group deeper understanding of the sights we visited and saw. Really like to thank each on of them like our guides in Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Orvieto and Civita Di Bagnoregio, Naples and Pompeii, Rome, Verona, Venice and Milan.

But most importantly, thank you for getting our driver, he truly ensure our comfort whilst driving steadily through jams on our way to Naple and snow storm on our way to Cortina d Amprezzo and also took very good care of us ensuring we know what to do where we have no guides and leaving us clear instruction when we needed help. He is truly a wonder.

I will definitely tell my friends heading to Italy about this company.... A wonderfully great experience.

Review: Italy Family Vacation, Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Positano, Pompeii, Pisa, Vatican Papal Mass

Our family of five just got back from the most wonderful vacation in Tuscany and Rome.  Our agent crafted a set of amazing experiences for our family from the private tour guides to Florence, Pisa and Lucca; a private wine tasting lunch at the Capannelle Winery and vineyards in Chianti; tickets to the Papal mass at the Vatican; to a tour beneath the church of San Clemente to see the excavations of a byzantine and then a Roman street neighborhood; a day excursion to the Amalfi coast to visit Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii; and more! Our agent and the guides found excellent restaurants from a simple salumeria where the locals ate to some high end restaurants.  The hotels were right in the center of Florence – on the piazza della Repubblica - and Rome – between the Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps.  Our agent was attentive to our plans and made excellent suggestions.  Everything went extremely smoothly.  All the guides drivers were very friendly, spoke English and were very knowledgeable about art, history and the local culture.  We saw so much every day because everything was so well planned.  Simply the best travel experience ever!
