Historical Tour of Greece Designed for June

We were very fortunate to work with Irene and her team at the travel agency on our recent 23-day trip to Greece.  They worked with us to craft an extraordinary vacation.

From the very beginning, Irene was extremely responsive. We told her about our list of must-see destinations and a number of interests beyond those specific places.  Irene put together an itinerary that reflected all of our wishes and made additional suggestions based on our discussion with her. She worked collaboratively with us to flesh out specific details. 

Once in Greece, all of our logistics were handled remarkably smoothly.  Irene and her colleague met us when we arrived at the Athens airport, and discussed with us all of the final details. Each transition from one location to another  -- we stayed in eleven hotels overall, flew within Greece and took a ferry -- was trouble-free.

All of our drivers showed up on time, wore masks (as we requested) and drove safely on roads that could be difficult.  Some of them shared information about the areas and sites as we drove.  In particular, we had a wonderful driver, who was extremely knowledgeable and a delight to be with, for a seven-day drive from Athens through the Peloponnese and then north to Thessaloniki.

We had private guides at archaeological sites, museums and cities. One of us is very knowledgeable about and interested in archaeology and history; the other is very interested in photography. Irene had informed the guides of our interests and concerns, and they accommodated our needs.

Our hotels were, almost without exception, excellent.  Some weren’t as comfortable as others, but they were charming and were among the best available in those locations.

Most of our meals (other than breakfast) were on our own, but several were included in our itinerary, and were among the best meals of our trip.

We had never before had a private tour, with private drivers and guides, so we weren’t sure what to expect.  Irene and her team made us very comfortable with all of the arrangements, and provided us with an extremely memorable vacation.  We highly recommend this travel agency.

Our trip to mainland Greece, organized by Zicasso's tour agency, was the best luxury trip my husband and I have enjoyed to date. Every hotel and site tour guide was carefully selected for our needs and interests, and they were all outstanding! Our driver for the entire trip was warm, courteous, and highly professional. We saw all the sites we'd requested and a couple of fun surprises along the way.

We travelled from Athens to various spots in the Peloponnese, then through the lush plains of Thessaly to Meteora, and then, finally, Thessaloniki. The accommodations were superb, with special shout-outs to the hotels in Athens, Nafplio, and Thessaloniki. We spent our last night at the Athens airport hotel and were so glad we did. The suite was stunning and completely soundproof. The food during our trip was incredible (especially at the hotel roof restaurant in Thessaloniki) and traveling by car allowed us to fully appreciate the gorgeous mountain and sea views. The Greek people were warm and super-friendly. Nearly everyone spoke English.

When we arrived in Athens, our travel consultants met us at our centrally located, fabulous hotel with all the info we needed, as well as a Greek cell phone and lovely gifts. All instructions were clear and details perfectly arranged. We really can't exaggerate how wonderful this trip was and we'll definitely return to this company for our next trip to Greece. 10/10 stars, though they deserve an even higher rating.

Terrific itinerary, wonderful personal service

We spent two weeks in Greece, Thessaloniki, Crete, Nafplion (with stops at Corinth and Marathon), Athens and Santorini, all travel by air not by boat. Our travel agent arranged it all with ease including our need for scent free rooms and a fitness centre that opened at latest 6am, and had good equipment. The tours and tour guides in each place were top notch as were the hotels. We discovered some excellent Greek wines and some amazing food. In fact the chef at the hotel in Santorini was the number one up and coming chef in Greece. Our agent even checked us in to all of our flights, emailed the boarding passes to our hotels and had them printed and put in our rooms. I would highly recommend this company and this travel agent for anyone wishing a wonderful trip to Greece.

This Greece travel company did a great job setting us up at ideal locations in Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. All were located in the central area, right near the center of each town for shopping and restaurants. The people at the hotels were really nice and everything was very organized that we did not have to worry about anything.
