Travel Review: Israel Family Trip, Jerusalem, Masada, Ein Gedi, Dead Sea, Acre, Bahai Gardens, Caesarea, Jeep Tour, Camel Ride
This was the best vacation we have ever had.  The travel company selected by Zicasso and in particular its CEO did an exceptional job putting together a tour package for us. We were a family group of 9 ranging in age from 5 to 75 visiting lsrael for 2 weeks beginning with a bar mitzvah in Jerusalem followed by a tour of the country. From arrival to departure everything was handled flawlessly. Much credit is also due to the fabulous tour guide that the travel company found for us.  He related well with all of us.The 5 and 6 year old children loved him for his playfulness and the games he created as well as the secrets he showed them like the Winnie the Pooh tree in a National Park  and the candle shop in Tzfat with a mockup of Noah's Ark and all the animals made of candle wax. The adults were wowwed by his amazing knowledge of the antiquities as well as our discussions about the issues facing modern day Israel. He wove stories of different groups of settlers building communities in the Holy Land.  He taught us how archaeologists pieced together clues to build a story of antique civilizations. The travel company found us excellent accommodations. We experienced many of the typical tourist spots - Masada, Ein Gedde, Dead Sea, Tzfat, Acre, Bahai Gardens, Caesarea, the old City of Jerusalem and the Wall;  but we also went off road for a Jeep tour in the Golan Heights, had a camel ride, had lunch with a Druze family, visited a Kibbutz, did a Hummus making contest and attended a chocolate making workshop.Overall this travel company far exceeded our expectations. Our travel specialist worked with us to keep this tour within our budget.

Family Trip To Israel Review: Acre, Tzfat, Jerusalem, Dead Sea, Archaeological Sites, Olive Oil Farm, History & Culture
Very professional travel company.  Engaged us right away to find out exactly what we were looking for rather than offering a cookie cutter package. Very accomodating to all requests and last minute changes. The company put us together with a fantastic guide who not only guided us through various sites and was able to modify itinerary on the fly due to interests and energy level but also appeared to have a broader plan for the week to enlighten us on Israeli history and the geopolitical issues of the region.  Given his extensive knowledge, it was like taking a touring course on Israel while seeing the sites. The trip was a nice mix of historic and cultural activities, nice variety from archaeological sites to an olive oil farm. While guides sometimes may shy away from sensitive political discussions, our guide embraced these and tried to expose us to multiple different viewpoints and the political complexity of the region. This was overall a fantastic and very memorable trip.

Israel & Jordan Trip Review: Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, Via Dolorosa, Mount Zion, Winery Visit, Wildlife Reserve
This travel company provided an amazing itinerary for our two week vacation in Israel and Jordan. We saw so many Holy sites, pagan temples, and archaeological digs that we came away with a new appreciation for these countries. We also got to visit wineries, sample the food in a crowded Jerusalem market, and visit a wonderful wildlife reserve. We had an amazing lunch in a Druze woman's home. The hospitality and friendliness of everyone, particularly our guides and drivers was amazing. All the logistics were handled seamlessly by our travel agency.

Review: Tour of Israel, Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Dead Sea, History

Travel arrangements by this company were excellent - the trip went as scheduled with numerous opportunities for adjustment. The travel guide that was assigned to us was knowledgeable, friendly and competent.

I would have rated the trip a 5 on a scale of 1-5 if not for two reasons. First, the itinerary in Tel Aviv was a bit"weak" - we didn't get much out of the day trip to some of the adjacent sites in that area, especially the field where David supposedly slew Goliath. I'd drop that from future itineraries. Also, we were disappointed to finish the Bethlehem tour with a visit to a Palestinian souvenir shop selling olive wood carved products among other things. We felt very pressured to buy something to support the Palestinian Christian community and the products were not something that we were interested in. I would definitely make this optional for future travelers.

Travel Agent Review: Luxury Israel & Jordan, Golan Heights, Tzfat, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea Scrolls, Western Wall, Culture & History

We had fantastic family trip to Israel and Jordan organized by this travel company. We traveled all over, saw all the sights but most importantly, gained a highly personal insight into the complexity of the region. Our travel specialist organized a great itinerary and was easy to reach when we needed to make changes. Our guide was wonderful and led us on in-depth discussions of politics, religion, history, and the rhythm of daily life. We had meaningful interactions with Israelis, Arabs, Druse, and Bedouins all curated to some extent by the travel company. Sights are just sites, it was the people we met through this travel company that made the trip unique. Highly recommend the travel company to experience the complexity of Israel.

Travel Review: Luxury Israel Tour, Tel Aviv, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee, Local Wine & Cuisine, History

We had an outstanding trip in every respect and found our travel agent to be exceptionally responsive in both the trip planning and follow-through during our stay in Israel.  We would highly recommend his services to anyone planning a future trip to Israel.  Despite the 7 hour time difference, our emails were responded to promptly and thoroughly while we were planning the trip.  Several conference calls were made for last minute reviews and details--all at our convenience.  When adjustments were needed, our agent made them.  We wanted a very full itinerary with the objective of seeing as many of the religious sites (Christian, Muslim and Jewish) as possible as well as historical sites.  We also asked for  a tour guide who could provide an overview of the political situation there.  Our agent did an outstanding job of fitting in all of the major sites via an aggressive schedule (per our request).  It was very well-organized and allowed us to cover ground efficiently.  More importantly, the sequencing flowed in such a way as to carefully build upon our knowledge  as we went.  Finally--and most importantly, we had the best tour guide we have ever had and we all travel extensively.  I have been pleased with my Zicasso trips--but our tour guide for 8 full days, helped make this trip truly exceptional.

Finally, we really enjoyed the Norman hotel and the Mamilla and recommend getting larger rooms and/or suites while in Israel.  The suite at the Mamilla was really great when we were doing so much walking on rough terrain.  It was nice to have a free lounge where we could stop for cold refreshments, wine and/or coffee and a lite snack.  Also having the space to spread out and rest after so much activity was very refreshing. Don't cut corners on the hotel options--you will need to have R&R time.
