Our family of five just got back from the most wonderful vacation in Tuscany and Rome. Our agent crafted a set of amazing experiences for our family from the private tour guides to Florence, Pisa and Lucca; a private wine tasting lunch at the Capannelle Winery and vineyards in Chianti; tickets to the Papal mass at the Vatican; to a tour beneath the church of San Clemente to see the excavations of a byzantine and then a Roman street neighborhood; a day excursion to the Amalfi coast to visit Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii; and more! Our agent and the guides found excellent restaurants from a simple salumeria where the locals ate to some high end restaurants. The hotels were right in the center of Florence – on the piazza della Repubblica - and Rome – between the Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. Our agent was attentive to our plans and made excellent suggestions. Everything went extremely smoothly. All the guides drivers were very friendly, spoke English and were very knowledgeable about art, history and the local culture. We saw so much every day because everything was so well planned. Simply the best travel experience ever!

I have to begin by saying I've told everyone how pleased I am with Zicasso and the travel agent they recommended. I also have to say that I was very hesitant to book my trip with a company that I had only communicated with via email. Turns out I had nothing to worry about.
The initial response I received from my agent was immediate and continued right up until our actual trip while we were in Italy. I let her know where I wanted to go, what I wanted to see, told her I was interested in a mix of arranged tours and time on our own. She listened and also made great suggestions. I honestly can't say enough about how wonderful she was to work with, along with her co-worker.
They arranged for all our hotels, transportation and tours. Every driver and guide we had was top notch. They made a point of keeping us in small groups, sometimes only the two of us and the guide.
Our 19 day trip began in Venice where we were met at the airport and driven to a private water taxi. That driver walked us out of the boat and made sure we knew how to find our hotel. Our departure was just as seamless. A guide met us in our lobby, walked with us to the water taxi, came into the train station with us and explained the board to us, pointing out our train and track number.
We continued on to Verona, Cinque Terre, Tuscany, Florence, Naples, the Amalfi Coast and Rome. Since we weren't in any one place longer than three days it was extremely helpful to have guides, even for just a couple of hours to orient us, which saved us a lot of time. We had guides for a walking tour in Venice, a morning in Cinque Terre traveling with us between the villages, the Accademia in Florence, Pompeii, an Amalfi Coast drive and the Vatican in Rome. Every one of the them was passionate and proud and we learned so much. We had a car in Tuscany and saw many other places on our own, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, Montalcino, Montepulciano. We stayed in Sorrento, spent one day on Capri and another full day on a tour to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello, which included a short boat ride along the coast. Spectacular. Our only tour in Rome was the Vatican but we saw all the other major sites on our own, taking the metro, bus, taxis and walking, lots of walking. It was the perfect mix of free time and arranged tours.
And, they also worked with our children who surprised us with a dinner in Venice for our anniversary after a gondola ride!
One great advantage to having your tour guide in the country you're visiting, you're in the same time zone. We had one mishap with a train and were able to talk to them right away. Other than that, everything worked liked clockwork.
I would definitely use them again and have told everyone I know what a wonderful job they did for us.

My husband and I recently returned from our "dream trip" to Italy. I have Parkinson's Disease, and although I get around pretty well, I don't have the stamina to walk with a group for several hours at a time. So, we decided that to see what we wanted to in the most comfortable way we would require a custom planned trip for only us. Our agent at this Italy travel company in Phoenix expertly provided that for us.We talked at length about where we wanted to go, how long we wanted to stay, what type of hotels, special trips and excursions and my abilities and limitations. The result of all this was an ambitious , but perfectly planned itinerary. Everything was arranged, transportation to Italy, transportation between destinations (car or train), guides while we were there, admission to museums and attractions, restaurant and tour suggestions at each destination-just about all you could possibly want-including a contact number from the company you could call at any time.
The hotels were beautiful; in Florence we stayed on the top floor of a hotel as close to the Duomo as you could be without being inside. The hotel in Sorrento was originally the residence of the emperor (or someone like him), was surrounded by lush gardens, was directly on the bay and was like a palace inside. In Venice . we stayed on the Grand Canal; in Tuscany we stayed at a 16th century converted monastery on top of a hill surrounded by gardens.Although the hotels were great, if possible, the guides were even better. We were met and transported to our hotel in every city, tours were all pre-arranged , including special requests that I had like Paestum and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. The guides were efficient, very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. They knew their city or particular attraction and were a wealth of information.I had a fall while in Amalfi breaking two teeth and our guide arranged for me to see his own dentist later that day.
Despite our ambitious itinerary, there was ample time on our own for just relaxing or wandering around. I would highly recommend this company to use for planning and booking your trip to Italy. They actually listen to you and will help you arrange a trip to meet your needs and desires. Diana & Mark October 2014

The vacation was awesome and the travel company we worked with made it so! All three cities were amazing; Rome, Florence, and Sorrento. We were extremely grateful for the logistics and resources we were set up with by our travel company. The tour guides we were set up with first for the Vatican tour and second for the walking tour of Florence both made the experience that much more invigorating providing knowledge and history in context. That made Florence especially my favorite in addition to the unreal food and wine. We constantly felt a great balance of high touch, guided activities and freedom to explore and get lost! There is no doubt in my mind we would use the same travel company again once we start planning our trip back.

We used this Italy travel agent. Our agent was the best!!! Love her...She was not only very professional but very knowledgeable about our requests. She herself is from Italy and was full of generous information. Every question asked was responded too.
We had never been to Italy before. Our family had roots from Italy and some of our relatives had visited there before. It was now our time. It was a life goal to do this trip and we planned it as our 25th wedding anniversary, taking along with us our best friends (couple). We wanted tours that were private and exclusive to the four of us. This is the only way to go. Well worth the money cause the guides and transport people were top notch!!! We wanted an experience that was tailored to our speed and areas that we wanted to concentrate on seeing. We wanted some fun activities too... cooking classes, farm tours, certain wineries etc.. our agent worked extra hard to help this come true along with making suggestions for on the ground local points of interest, from restaurants to shopping to sites to see!! She stayed in contact with every stage of the way. All the tours, transfers, guides, hotels and more were seamlessly arranged.
We stayed 12 nights / 13 days. Rome to Sorrento (Positano/Ravello/Amalfi) to Florence (Radda in Chianti and the Tuscany valley) back to Rome. We use private transportation, fast trains, luxury buses and some foot work. All were an excellent way to get our travels in. Most days planned with tours and events and some days were just to ourselves. It was a great mix.
Highly recommend this travel agency......... Thank you
