Travel Review: Italy Vacation, Tuscany, Rome, Venice, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Radda, Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum

Our travel agent put together a wonderful itinerary for our 11 days in Italy.   We were 2 over sixty women traveling to Italy for the first time.  We arrived in Venice for a 2 day stay and our hotel on the Grand Canal was breathtaking.  We had a small group tour of Venice and our guide was excellent.  We then travelled to Florence by train for a 3 night stay.  Again, our accommodations were superb.  Our agent arranged a pasta making class for us on the first night which was so much fun.  She also arranged 2 days of private tours with our wonderful guide.  Then on to Tuscany for 2 days where we were able to visit 2 wineries as well as spend time in San Gimignano and Siena.  Our overnight  accommodations in Tuscany were in Radda, a lovely countryside town.  Our drivers were wonderful and personable as was our guide in Siena.  Then on to Rome by train.  Our agent arranged a small group twilight tour of Rome, a small group tour of the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Colosseum, a small group twilight food tour of the Trastevere region of Rome (a must do in my book) and a private tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica.  Our agent did a wonderful job orchestrating everything without any snafus.  It was a wonderful trip.  I only wish I could have stayed longer.....bit there is always next time.

Italy Tour Review: Venice, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Food, Wine, History, 11-Night Trip

Zicasso’s tour operator exceeded all of our expectations. We knew we wanted to go to Italy to eat good food, drink good wine, and sightsee, but had no idea where to start with the planning. We told the Zicasso team our very broad plan and they whipped up an itinerary that hit four great cities in an order we felt was perfect.

That had us starting in Venice, which felt small in scale and manageable, then to Florence, a bit bigger, then Rome as the third stop, and by then, we felt ready for the bustle of a bigger city, with the last stop in Sorrento/Amalfi Coast, which was a serene and gorgeous backdrop. A perfect way to end our 11-night tour of Italy – an amazing city by the sea!

We went for almost all of their suggested activities in each city and they all completely blew us away. The trip was well paced, with one activity per day (a tour of the local galleries or a walking tour of the city, etc), and that was perfect for us. We were so grateful for these bookings because they gave us a sense of the history of each place and made us appreciate it all the more. And we loved that we didn’t have to parse through tons of websites and review each one to determine who to pick – that was all done for us!

Zicasso’s travel company uses excellent vendors. Every tour guide and driver we encountered was incredibly knowledgeable and personable, and we really enjoyed spending time with each one. Every hotel was a winner, from the charming B&Bs to the larger hotels. We have virtually nothing negative to report. They also recommended many great restaurants in each city and booked dinner reservations at our request, which took a lot of stress off us since we don’t speak Italian!

Our tour operators created a WhatsApp group and were available whenever we needed them throughout the trip, answering our messages within minutes if we had a quick question about anything. They were also very communicative via email during the planning process leading up to our trip.

I really can’t say enough good things about the entire experience with Zicasso’s tour operator. We will recommend them to anyone we know who’s planning an Italy trip!

Luxury Italy Vacation Review: Rome, Florence, Venice, Pompeii, Amalfi Coast, Vatican, Vasari Corridor

We had a wonderful family trip to Italy.  We had a small group of 7 travelling. It was the first overseas trip for my 3 nieces.   Our agent was fantastic.   She was very responsive to our needs and planned an itinerary that was full of guided tours, but left plenty of time to explore on our own. We went to Rome, Pompeii, Amalfi, Florence and Venice.  The hotels in the 3 cities were all in good locations for walking.  All of the guides that provided the private tours for our little group were all very knowledgeable and friendly.  It was nice having private tours with skip the line access to the museums.   The only negative thing I can say is that the Vatican Museum was very over crowded and made it hard to see as much as we would have wanted to see.  However, that does not reflect negatively on our agent or the company since that is out of their control.  We still enjoyed visiting the Vatican and Museum and is a must see for anyone going to Rome.

On the recommendation of our agent, we drove down to the Amalfi Coast after our visit to Pompeii.   That was well worth it.  That area is so beautiful and we all agreed we would like to spend more time there.

We had beautiful weather the first half of the trip.   However, upon arrival in Florence and Venice, the weather did not cooperate and we had rain and cooler temperatures.  We had not packed for that type of weather, so we were all a little chilly the last couple of days.  However, we did not let that dampen our enthusiasm or keep us from getting out and seeing things.  I will definitely pack better in the future.

Overall, I was very pleased with our agent and the services our agents provided.  Everything went flawlessly and effortlessly for us thanks to our Italy travel agents. We would definitely use their services again if/when we go back to Italy.

Travel Review: Italy Vacation, Rome, Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Capri, Path of Gods Hiking, Vatican, Food Tour

Our trip to Italy was amazing! We are a family of four with two daughters in college. We enjoyed outdoor adventures on the Amalfi coast including hiking the Path of the Gods and swimming in grottos in Capri, tours of ancient Rome and the Vatican, art and food tours in Florence, a day in Tuscany including a private wine tasting and tour, and tours in Venice. All of our guides were very personable and extremely knowledgeable. Our transportation was timely and effortless on our part. It was so nice to have pre-planned excursions with our own private guides, while also having time to explore on our own. Thanks to this travel agent, we were able to fully enjoy the trip without stressing over logistical details.

Travel Review: Family Trip to Italy, Rome, Florence, Venice, Sorrrento, Pisa, Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius Hike, Colosseum, Vatican

I know it has been over two years since this trip, but it was without a doubt the trip of a lifetime. It was my father, my boyfriend and I that spent 12 days in Italy, visiting four cities in total: Venice, Florence, Rome and Sorrento (on the Amalfi Coast). This trip was incredible, with the perfect itinerary. We got to see everything we wanted to see, in such an efficient way. Having everything planned and set in advance (including transport to and from the airports, hotels, tours with tour guides paid for, etc.), made the whole experience more enjoyable and stress free. We wanted a mix of busy times exploring, and lighter, more relaxing days as well. It’s exactly what we got, and the perfect travel pace!

The travel company was amazing, especially our contact. She was extremely helpful, responsive, positive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. I truly could not have asked for a better contact to work with and would love to work with her again! Right from the beginning, she wanted to understand our needs and preferences to create the best itinerary possible. She is clearly experienced with Italy, as she recommended everything we were hoping to see and do. She kept well within the budget too, which is important. We had a couple drafts of the itinerary, to ensure we were getting the most of our time in each city. The final draft included contacts for each hotel, tour, tour guide, transportation company, etc. as well as detailed time instructions. It was thorough, which is much appreciated when traveling to a brand-new place. Our contact even included notes on each day with what to bring, any safety concerns, and other relevant notes. This helped us be prepared each day and have a one-stop shop for our entire journey. This itinerary was invaluable for our trip, we took it everywhere, made notes, leveraged any contact info we needed, and referred to her notes. It was well appreciated the time and effort that went into the itinerary, as it made the trip seamless and stress free!

Not only did our contact provide the itinerary, she also included all sorts of helpful documentation, with recommendations on restaurants, shopping, great things to do in each city outside of the pre-planned tours, and so much more! She also included dress code information for churches, etiquette on tipping, and other great tourist information. I brought all of this with me on the trip, and we referred to the material every day! It was extremely helpful and added to the experience!

Our contact also kept in touch throughout the trip, to ensure everything was going smoothly, and see if we had any questions. She connected with me to ensure we arrived safely in Venice, and got settled in. Then she connected with me towards the middle of the trip to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and see if we had questions. Finally, she connected with me on our second last day to confirm our flight details, and transportation to the airport (and to say it was sad we were leaving Italy soon!). It made the experience more pleasant to have someone to ask questions to, and ensure we were enjoying all that Italy has to offer! Of course, our contact also connected with me a couple days after we were back, making sure we made it home safely, and that we enjoyed the whole trip. She was a wonderful contact, friendly, and helpful. If I ever go back to Italy, I will connect and work with her again!

Travel Review: Italy Family Tour, Rome, Venice, Florence, Vatican, Gondola Ride, Gastronomy & Wine Tour

One of the best vacations we have had as family ( 2 Adults + 2 kids). All kudos to our travel agent for planning everything to minutest detail - everything worked like a charm. Right from landing at Rome to private transfer to hotel, hotel accommodation, private tours, food tips , sight seeing trips, water taxis in Venice, Gondola rides, train rides etc etc. She put together great itinerary in Florence - best winery tour, gastronomic tour and country side tour. We never had any issues and everything was very well planned. She knows Italy inside out and knows how many activities to cram into daily activities to rightfully enjoy them. My kids had a blast and they keep talking about their experiences from vacation non-stop.

Absolutely great experience and will highly recommend this travel agent.
