Amalfi – Mediterranean Paradise
The town of Amalfi is situated at the midway point of the coast that shares its name and was once a thriving port that rivaled the powerful Pisa and Venice. After a disastrous earthquake and tsunami caused half the city to sink into the sea, Amalfi lost sovereignty to foreign influence. Today, the town is a favorite for vacationers and sun worshippers and can see massive crowds in the summer months. Traditional restaurants, convenient cafes, and boutique shops now tailor to leisure lovers, and the city is within a short drive or stroll from plenty of nearby attractions for you to enjoy.

My husband and I, along with our 2 children (age 20 and 17), enjoyed a wonderful Italian vacation booked through Zicasso and this travel agency. Our travel consultants listened to my ideas and arranged for us a fantastic custom itinerary. They stayed within the budget allotted, offered choices for beautiful hotels and private tours, and made several revisions as per our request. We departed from New York on our 25th anniversary, and spent 10 days traveling the country within the month of November. This off-season time proved to be a great decision as reservations were easy to obtain, crowds were minimal (mostly all locals), and the weather was conducive for walking and sightseeing (average 60 degrees F). Transportation and the personal drivers were top notch; with Mercedes SUVs or minivans to take my family from Milan-Chianti-Florence-Verona-Venice and then the high speed train down to Rome. Accommodations arranged for us were phenomenal! We stayed in a 12th century castle in Chianti, in the heart of the city center in Florence, and near the Spanish Steps in Rome. The personal tour guides were friendly and knowledgable, and were happy to recommend eateries preferred by locals. All in all, everything was flawless. We plan to return some day to see the Amalfi coast, Positano and Capri. We would absolutely recommend these travel consultants, and the travel company team to anyone who is looking for a personalized Italian vacation.

The travel agency did a wonderful job, helping us plan our itinerary in Italy. We visited Venice, Florence, the Tuscany region, Sorrento, and the Amalfi Coast. The travel agency arranged for us to have private and small group tours, which allowed us to engage in conversation with the Italian people. Everyone was so kind and welcoming! The history was fascinating, as we visited museums and cathedrals in Venice and Florence. We enjoyed wonderful food at the winery, our pizza party, pasta making party, and at the goat cheese farm in Tuscany. We enjoyed wonderful grilled out food while overlooking the beautiful Tuscany region at a family owned, organic olive oil producing company. In Sorrento, and on the Amalfi coast, we enjoyed the beautiful, coastal views, and the abundance of lemon trees. Our drivers were on time, with car seats when needed for our three grandchildren, ages 4, 2, and five months. The travel company was very attentive to our needs, and we are grateful for their help in making this a wonderful vacation!

We did a 12 day trip that included Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Rome, Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. It was a 30th anniversary trip for us. My brother and sister-in-law also travelled with us. It was our first trip to Italy and we wanted to make sure that we could enjoy our vacation without worrying about logistics, transportation, etc. And having never been in Italy, we needed guidance and recommendations for the right accommodations. Our travel agency met or exceeded all of our expectations. Our agents paid close attention to our wishes and carefully planned out the perfect itinerary. They did so while also honoring our budget. They put us in great hotels in the hearts of Venice, Rome and Florence. And we had spectacular views from our hotels in Tuscany and Sorrento. Great drivers and guides were arranged at every stop. In addition to private tours of traditional sites (Vatican, Coliseum, Uffizzi Gallery, St. Mark's Basilica, Pompeii), Our agents also arranged a one of kind wine-tasting and lunch at a small Tuscan farm and a special cooking class at a Michelin starred restaurant. Even with all of the activities, we still had plenty of free time to wander on our own or simply relax. Plus, our agents were always available by phone or e-mail both before and during the trip if we had any questions. They are incredibly responsive. And all of this cost about the same as a high quality group tour. We felt like we got the perfect 30th anniversary trip and that it was an excellent value. I highly recommend this company.

This was an amazing 2 week trip to Italy! We started off in Venice, followed by Florence, then some relaxation on the Amalfi Coast, and we finished with Rome. Our travel agent was great! He gave us great advice on how much time to spend in each city and just as great recommendations on things to do once there. The transportation and transfers from city to city were phenomenal. Everything was top notch!
