Luxury Japan Tour Review, Wasabi Farm, Lunch with a Rice Farmer, Fish Auction, Ikebana Lesson, Mountain Tea Farm, Food & Ryokans
We had an outstanding trip terrifically planned by this travel planner.  Our trip, which ran for 16 days, encompassed visits to Takayama, Shikawa-go, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Hiroshima, Shizuoka and a few additional towns.  We primarily stayed at ryokans, at our request.  The ryokans were wonderful and unique, each providing a wonderful Japanese experience, great service and delicious food.We had numerous wonderful encounters including:a visit to the largest wasabi farm in Japan, high in the mountains;a visit to a tea farm in the mountains;lunch at the home of an 84 year old rice farmer in a small mountain town of some 70 villagers;tour of a small town which uses aquifers to provide most of its water;tour of a sake brewery;attending an auction of fish just harvested;seeing fish and vegetable markets; a 3 hour cooking lesson in the chef's home;an ikebana (flower arranging) lesson;the "usual" visits to shrines, castles, museumsThe entire trip was exquisitely planned and flawlessly executed with superb guides, drivers, and staff to meet us at train stations.

Japan Luxury Vacation Review: Tokyo, Osaka, Kanazawa, 11-Day Tour

Our Zicasso travel partner was a pleasure to work with in formulating our trip. He fulfilled our desire to see "must-see" sights and our wish for more ryokan-style accommodations, including private onsen baths for these bashful Americans!

Visiting the pulsating cities of Tokyo and Osaka, with the serenity of Kakusenkei Gorge and Kenrokuen Garden, was the perfect contrast in this fabulous country just opened after the pandemic. Kudos to our tour operator and his team for a spectacular effort.

Japan Vacation Review: Koyasan Mount Koya, Kamakura, Osaka, Hiroshima, Culture, Scenery & Local Cuisine
My wife and I just returned from an incredible 2.5 week trip to Japan, where we had the opportunity to visit Tokyo with a day trip to Kamakura,  Kyoto with day trips to Nara and Osaka, Hiroshima, Koyasan and Kanazawa.   The trip was entirely organized by our travel planner and his company, located in Tokyo.  Since our planner actually lives in Japan, this ended up being a major differentiator as our itinerary was personally tailored by our travel planner based on his 'first hand' experience living in Japan.  This allows him to personally 'hand pick' all of his tour guides, which clearly made a difference.  Our guides, in Kyoto and Tokyo were an absolute delight, making our trip that much more pleasurable.    Our travel planner is extremely professional, was responsive to all of my emails while we were planning the trip, which was very important to me due to the timezone difference.  Our planner was always positive, very pleasant to work with, and as importantly, meticulous with the level of details with the itinerary, to the point where all we had to do while in Japan was to 'sit back, and enjoy the trip'!.  I also had the pleasure to meet the travel planner on our first day in Tokyo, where he provided us with all of the details/train vouchers we needed for the trip, and answered all of our questions.  To our surprise, he also gave us a beautiful bottle of plum wine - which we have brought back home and will be enjoying this weekend, as my wife and I reminisce on our unforgettable memories of Japan.I would definitely, without hesitation, recommend this travel agency to anyone visiting Japan.  FYI - Our planner is also a 'foodie', so definitely take him up on his restaurant recommendations, you won't regret it.

Luxury Japan Travel Review: Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Ramen Food Tour, Cooking Class, Bike Ride, Rice Fields, Museum
This company is hands down the best travel agency I have ever dealt with.  From the initial contact where we exchanged ideas on the goals of the trip, to the development of a comprehensive itinerary, and finally to its execution, Alex was perfection personified.  The trip was flawless.I can not say enough about the choices Alex made for our hotels, excursions, and restaurant suggestions.  Every hotel demonstrated the highest level of service and comfort.  More importantly, their location gave easy access to must-see points of interest and access to public and private transportation.Never rushed, we had free time to explore Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, and Hiroshima on our own.  We also had incredible experiences with our guided tours.  We enjoyed a Ramen food tour, private cooking lessons, bike riding in Kyoto, a photo session at the Fushimi Inari gates, visited rice fields (and helped plant a few rice seedlings as well) in Hata, as well as visiting the many important shrines and castles that play a major role in Japanese history and culture. Our tour guides were warm and personable.  Informative and entertaining.  Giving us context to what we were seeing without making us feel we were attending a dull classroom lecture. Each point of execution of our itinerary was handled perfectly.  Our transfers were always on time.  Our guides took care of all the small things that would have been difficult given the language barrier. These are the broad strokes of a first class operation.  What makes this travel company exceptional is the attention made to the smallest details.  I had mentioned in passing my fiancée’s mushroom allergy.  Every reserved restaurant was already aware of the allergy before we arrived.  Every reserved seat on the bullet train was in the last row of our car.  This gave us access to place our luggage safely behind us instead of precariously on the overhead compartment. In short, this has been the best travel agency I have ever dealt with in all my travels around the world.

Japan Luxury Vacation Review: Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Nine-Day Trip

We had a fabulous time using our Zicasso travel partner. He was attentive and thorough in booking our accommodations and excursions in each location we visited (Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka). He truly curated a trip of a lifetime and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a fabulous trip to Japan.

I think when booking with a travel agency or designer, there is always a concern about communication. Our tour operator was attentive and very responsive. The morning of our trip, our flight out was canceled and we had to shift our itinerary a full day (which was rather stressful). Our agent re-accommodated us with such ease and thoughtfulness, making me feel so much better about the situation.

Review: Mother-Daughter Tour of Japan, Kyoto, Tokyo, Narita, Hiroshima, Anime & Manga, Samurai Lesson, Kabuki Theatre Performance

This travel agent is a professional who has done the research and knows what his customers want before the customer even knows what to ask for.  My daughter, Hannah, and I decided on a trip to Japan and had a vague idea of what we wanted to do and where we wanted to go....Our agent honed those thoughts into an experience that we will never forget!  Our request involved being able to see as much of the Youth Culture of Anime/Manga along with an historic cultural tour of Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima. Our agent provided this and more!  A personal assistant upon arrival at Narita to help us on our journey as well as guidance with the subway/trains throughout the country at every juncture.  Knowing that there would be someone there to help with the transfers at various locations helped ease the anxiety of the unfamiliar.  Every person that our agent provided to assist us was English proficient, kind and helpful - much like the entire country- we love Japan!
