Nairobi – Easy Introductions
Kenya is far away for almost all visitors. Especially when coming from the States, the flights and time difference mean the body may take a couple of days to adjust. Rather than immediately head out for safari, two nights in the lush suburbs of Nairobi offer a relaxed introduction to the country and its rhythm. Endangered Rothschild's giraffe roam freely through the gardens of Giraffe Manor and often poke their heads through open bedroom windows. They are the elegant and personal sight that accompanies your first night in Kenya. You will be greeted at the airport and privately transferred to Giraffe Manor, where the giant silhouettes provide your entertainment over a gourmet dinner.

Our trip was built upon trying to experience the great migration and thus, visiting the Masai Mara and the Serengeti. We were very fortunate to experience the build up of the great migration from the Mara with each day the number of wildebeest and zebras growing exponentially each day. Our last day in the Mara the numbers exceed a million wildebeest and zebras.
Our travel company worked collaboratively with us months before our trip detailing out our options. We are extremely happy with their advice and counsel in which properties we selected. Each property exceeded our high expectations. Their attention to details was very much appreciated. For example, we were greeted upon our arrival in Nairobi prior to reaching the luggage carousel and guided through the "process". Similarly upon our departure we had someone walk us through security, customs and then arranged for us to spend time in a airport club without travelling with that airline or related partner.

You could not have planned the trip better. It was fantastic! Our safari driver from Rangers was great - again could not of been better. He pushed every day for us to see everything possible. Hes fun and incredibly knowledgeable and has a great command of the English language. You were right to schedule one day in Nairobi - so glad we did not change it to two days. We saw the last of the Big 5 - the black rhino in Kenya. We loved all of our accommodations and the people are so friendly, polite and helpful. We saw the Great Migration in Tanzania. We would not of changed one thing. People from other tour agencies were dissapointed that when they arrived in Kenya when we did as all of the Wildebeest had already migrated to Tanzania. What you scheduled for us was perfect. I do think that Tanzania is not well known but Kenya is to the average American like us. If it wasn't for you we would of never known about Tanzania. Tanzania has it all - except the black rhino at the Govenor's Camp- no need to even go to Kenya but I did want to go the the Elephant and Giraffe orphanages. We loved Capetown, the shark cage trip and the tour operator was wonderful. The 1/2 day Capetown trip was great. We went on the historic Capetown walking tour at 11:00 after we checked out. We added the Olduvai museum at the crater to our trip. We had a wonderful time and saw so much in 17 days including traveling from the East Coast; Arusha, Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro crater, Central Serengeti - Turner Springs, Norther Serengeti - Kokatonde, Masai - Mara, Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Capetown. A trip of a lifetime.

From the initial email contact and telephone conversation with the Zicasso travel agent, we could sense we were in good hands. He was very responsive to our ideas about a trip to Africa and his vast knowledge of the continent was immediately evident. Based on the information provided he quickly turned around a proposed itinerary for a trip to Kenya. Ultimately, we decided on safaris in Amboseli, Lewa, and Maasai Mara. Each location was beautiful in its own unique way. The accommodations were more than comfortable and the food was excellent. The Kenyan people were beyond friendly and the wildlife viewing was amazing.
In addition, we got some sense of the local cultures and were very pleased to learn that a portion of the revenue generated by our stays in each location went to the local conservation efforts.
The logistics of the trip were seamless, starting with our arrival in Nairobi very late on a Monday night, through to our return to the Nairobi airport on the evening of our departure.
The team at the travel agency handled all of the details and enabled our family to truly experience the trip of a lifetime. We would recommend this travel agency without reservation.

Our Africa travel specialist planned the most amazing trip to Kenya for us. We had an incredible time and were able to capture so many awesome pictures. We are already thinking about when to go back! The Giraffe Manor was one of the coolest experiences and the safari experience is unreal. Some of the most amazing experiences we've ever had. We saw just about everything, from a leopard in the Masai Mara (they haven't seen one in 3 months prior), a cheetah and three cubs, tons of lions, a rhino, and much more!! And luckily we got to see all of the big five.
Our travel specialist was able to book us at the perfect hotels and locations. They took the time to talk to us while planning so that they knew exactly what we were looking for and they provided just that. Our trip was supposed to end in South Africa but due to COVID we had some last-minute changes and they made the process seamless and worry-free. The time at Msambweni (where we went instead of South Africa) was a great end to the trip as we got to relax after a very eventful trip. And we got to swim with a whale shark! Couldn't have asked for a better trip. It was a trip of a lifetime. I highly recommend booking with this company if you are going to Africa!
