The trip was great. The highlights included the private cultural show and dinner at our hotel in Galle. Our tea plantation hotel was also amazing, as well as our wildlife lodge. We enjoyed the country and highly recommend it. My only suggestion is that we ended up doing a lot of driving, and I was not aware you can take a seaplane to the tea plantation area, which would have saved us approximately two days of driving.

I chose Zicasso’s travel company for this trip, as they listened to my requests and adjusted the itinerary from the original proposal. Other companies forced me to take their proposals by saying there were limited hotel availabilities and/or my requests did not make sense. The overall itinerary we created together worked perfectly well, considering the days we spent in Sri Lanka.
The travel specialist was available and helpful whenever we needed help and/or had questions during the trip.

The trip was very good. We learned a lot about the culture, food, people, and land. We didn’t feel it was 100% as our trip to Botswana and South Africa. The guide was OK, but not great. If I were to share my itinerary, I would omit Wayanad, where we felt the drive was very long and the hotel was not up to par. Kochi, Kumarakom, Munnar, and Madurai were wonderful.

Overall, I am very pleased with the services from Zicasso’s tour company. The planning process was easy and efficient as we had a short window for planning, and our itinerary was finalized within days of our initial inquiry. They planned the active tour we were looking for and we managed to see a lot in a short time! The hotels and included meals were top-notch and we received a higher level of comfort and service than we expected. The company continued to be engaged, even post-travel, to hear feedback, and we were pleased with their follow-up. My only regret is that we did not have enough time to see more in Sri Lanka! I guess this means we will have to use Zicasso and our travel company to plan our return visit.
