Detailed Description
Africa's golf courses are not your typical up-and-down-in-72 variety. The greens are expressions of the continent as they blur the distinction between remote wilderness and a golfing challenge. Some courses stretch out along the beautiful coastline while others are filled with roaming wildlife. In Mauritius, the golf greens come with all of the tropical tones of the Indian Ocean. There are no standard holes here as you may find your approach blocked by crocodiles, and then test your nerve as you drive over the hippo-filled water hazards, play Gary Player's signature course, and pitch out of the white sand. Africa is spacious, and the golf courses run free, cascading across landscapes that may evoke all of the preconceptions you may have had of the continent. If you want to play on unique and beautiful courses, look no further than this unusual safari itinerary. But do not imagine that these courses are just about the scenery as this golfing safari features courses that are mainstays on the pro tour that have hosted many of the world's top players.
On this 16-day tour, you will travel across South Africa and Mauritius to play at 11 iconic courses. Each has been handpicked for its allure and fame, and while some are not open to the public, you will enjoy exclusive access to courses that only usually invite only the world's top 100 golfers. Direct flights enable you to seamlessly fit in six different destinations, including the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The next two days, you will stop here for a luxury Big Five safari, followed by a round at the iconic Leopard Creek, where wildlife roams across the fairways.
Johannesburg and Sun City are your bases for your first few days and three rounds of golf, including the Gary Player Golf Course, the course that virtually every golfer that visits South Africa wants to play. After your safari interlude, you will spend days several more days at the Fancourt Estate in George, the unquestionable home of golf in South Africa. There are three courses to play, building up to the Fancourt Links, which is widely regarded as the finest course in all of Africa. You will then compare the exquisite coastal holes with those at the Durban Country Club, which has hosted the South African Open more than any other in the country. A direct flight will take you to Mauritius, and four days of beach bliss and excellent golf. Bernard Langer's Ile aux Cerfs is the scenic highlight, although Anahita and Belle Mare Plage are also dominated by exotic landscapes. After the South African challenge, the shorter Mauritius courses bring a relaxed end to your golfing safari.

We’re still not over our trip! Everything was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for organizing such a great experience and making it so effortless for me. I already have family and friends asking who I went through, and I’m guessing some of them will be reaching out to you in the next year.
I do have one small piece of constructive feedback about our camp in the Olifants West Nature Reserve. The staff, lodge, and food were wonderful, but unfortunately, the safari guide fell short. We had just come from the camp in the Thornybush Game Reserve (where we left our hearts—the guide there was truly exceptional, with such a great personality), so the difference stood out even more. At the Olifants West Nature Reserve camp, we saw very few animals and the guide didn’t engage much—he barely spoke, and when he did, it wasn’t very professional or kind, especially toward my son. My son even said the trip might have worked better in reverse, since after Botswana it was hard to adjust to seeing only a few animals a day.
That said, I’m so grateful for how smoothly you planned everything, especially on such short notice. It really was a trip of a lifetime for us.
Thank you again!
