Casablanca – Moroccan Reception

Arrive in Casablanca and step into a world where the past and present merge to create a captivating atmosphere. Your private transfer meets you at the airport to escort you to your centrally located hotel. The boulevards are lined with palm trees swaying in the sea breeze. The Atlantic Ocean laps against the city’s western border. The aroma of palm oil blends with traditional spices that float out of cafes and restaurants. At the Parc de La Ligue Arabe men linger under the canopy and play pétanque, a form of lawn bowling.

The balls are thrown and hit the dirt field with a soft thud. The canopy creates a lush and shady walkway that locals stroll through. The aroma of cedar trees blossoms around the luxuriant space. Black and white marble stairs wind up the Art Deco building of Villa de Arts, a 1934 structure that maintains contemporary exhibits of artists throughout the country and abroad. When you settle into Casablanca in the evening you find a lavish city in touch with its roots but far from traditional.

Detailed Description

A huge medieval gate with deep red walls stands between you and the old city. You can hear the jovial crowd enraptured by the legend of an old sultan. The high-pitched hum of an ocarina-type instrument adds to the soundtrack of the city. Your handcrafted tour takes you through the captivating splendor of Morocco, from seaside to desert plateau. Witness the ethereal quality of sand dunes at sunrise and listen to the morning Call to Prayer hum over the soft lull of the Atlantic Ocean. Rest assured that in Morocco every day is special.

Begin your time in Morocco with your arrival in Casablanca. Elements of the country’s French colonial past are prevalent in the Art Deco buildings and décor. The city is often seen as a bridge between Morocco’s vibrant past and forward-thinking present. Travel northbound along the coast to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The imperial city is home to the contemporary royal palace. In Meknes, you will find a relaxed city with remnants of its 17th-century luster as the former grand capital of the country.

Once in Fes you will have a guided tour of the medieval city. Antique shops and a picturesque bazaar fill the medina, along with the famous tanneries hidden behind the leather workshops. Travel through the high plains connecting the Middle and High Atlas Mountains to visit Midelt. Palm trees border the lushness of Ziz Valley as you make your way through a true oasis to the Sahara Desert at Erfoud. Adventure through the waves of sand to witness the remarkable sand dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunrise before crossing Tinghir and journeying along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs.

In Ouarzazate and Ben Aït Ben Haddou, you can wander through historic walled cities and restored fortresses that provide a view of the impressive landscape. Continue to Marrakech, where the cultural marvels of Morocco thrive. Your guided tour takes you around the artistic embellishments of Bahia Palace and the lively Djemaa el Fna Square. Return to Casablanca and spend time exploring the city at your preferred pace. Travel Review: Luxury Morocco Tour, Fes, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Sahara Desert Camel Tour, Local Culture & Cuisine

The overall arrangement is good and safe. The consultant who helped to design the itinerary generally could give a timely response. The driver who companied us all the way is really nice and good English communication, esp his driving skills made us feel secured.

However I have to say the local tour guide during our trip at Fes & Rabat cannot make me give the full scores for this review. Too hurried to show and explain with you the local culture and experience. We were even forced to skip the lunch in order to arrive at Rabat before 3:00AM, because the tour guide need take the train back to Marrakech at 4:00PM. Thus only more than 1 hours city tour at Rabat. Can you imagine that we were sent to hotel for a rest at 4:00PM of the day? To be honesty, this made us disappointed.

Luxury Morocco Travel Review: Marrakech, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Casablanca, Fez, Ouarzazate, Dadès Gorge, Atlas Mountains, Meknes
Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Aït Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Valley of 1000 Kasbahs - Rose Valley - Dadès Gorges - Merzouga/ Erg Chebbi (Sahara) - Erfoud - Midelt - Mid Atlas Mountains - Fez - Meknes - Volubilis - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca - MarrakechOn our way home from 12 gorgeous and full days of introduction to a new world, totally unknown to us. What a surprise…. At every corner. A country that amazed us in so many ways with its orgy of colors, smells and tastes. A country that we were lucky to get to know and love with our amazing guide of our travel company, who taught us so much, while tirelessly driving hundreds of kilometers almost every day through ever changing landscapes. We got a glimpse of Morocco through its valleys, mountains, deserts, ancient Medinas, big cities and small Amazirgh (Berber) villages by foot, camels and car but also by our guide’s stories, answers to million questions, by meeting other guides and mostly smiley, welcoming people you meet everywhere. A country that fascinated us not only by its landscapes but by its culture, history, contradictions and disparities; by the beauty in peoples eyes and smiles. We are grateful for this truly enriching experience.

Luxury Morocco Travel Review: Marrakech, Fes, Desert, Camel Ride, Cooking Class, 10-Day Vacation
Our trip was fantastic.  Our driver was just great and really made the whole trip more special.  He's a great driver and really should be a guide since he has tremendous knowledge about the country.  All of our accommodations were great.  We especially like the Riads in Marrakech and Fes.  They were absolutely amazing with great rooms, staff and service. We also loved our cooking class.  Great food and the people there were charming as was the setting.  The only hotel that was a little disappointing was the one in Rabat and that may have been due to staying at such amazing places prior.  The hotel could use an update but the grounds were beautiful. The desert experience was wonderful.  We had a great time riding camels and ATVs.All our local guides were very good.  We especially enjoyed our guide in Marrakech.Overall we all had a terrific time.  We all bought way too much stuff.  We have received all the rugs we bought already.  I just put mine down today and itt looks beautiful.  We also bought lots of ceramic items which will take awhile to arrive. I would not hesitate to recommend Morocco to friends and family and of course tell them they must plan their trip with this travel agency. Thanks so much for taking the time to meet us while we were there.Hopefully we will all come back to Morocco some day.

Morocco Family Vacation Review: Marrakech, Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Fez, Essaouira, Oualidia, Desert, Atlas Mountains

Hassan, the owner of the travel agency, created a superlative dream vacation for our family in Morocco. We spoke over the phone and communicated via email to finalize the itinerary with his local knowledge and recommendations. He chose the most beautiful Riads for us to stay in, found in fabulous locations within each city.

We visited many locations within Morocco which included Rabat, Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Fez plus a day trip in the Atlas Mountains. We experienced Marrakech, enjoyed an overnight stay at a desert lodge in the Agafay desert and visited Essaouira, and Oualidia. The trip was completely stress-free, with our driver-guide managing all our travel between locations, and local guides in each city.

We are usually independent travelers, but this experience with the travel agency has completely changed how we will travel going forward.

Review: Tour of Morocco, Fes, Rabat, Marrakech, Casblanca, Dades Valley, Sahara Desert Camel Ride & Camping, Cooking Lesson

Our introduction to Morocco greatly exceeded any expectations due to the care and planning taken by my agent at this travel company.  I don't believe a detail overlooked during our 11 day, private tour that began in Casa Blanca and included stays in  Rabat, Chefchaouen, the amazing city of Fès, an overnight in the Sahara Desert that included a camel ride in and out of the camp, a relaxing stay in the Dades Valley, and finally the bustling, hustling city of Marrakech.

The dining venues that were included during our visit were always fabulous.  We never had one bad meal or experience at any of the places that were selected for us.

Our driver was awesome as were the guides that met us in each of the cities/villages we visited.  It made such a difference to have the expertise of each individual we had the opportunity to engage with.  Each one offered to help us in any way they could to make our stay more comfortable.

The value for our experience also exceeded my expectations.  The quality of the Riads, hotels, guides, meals, car/driver, activities and all the attention to details were of the highest caliber.

My agent communicated with me regularly, listened to my needs and custom designed our trip to meet not only my financial goals but my desire to truly experience the beautiful country of Morocco.

I would highly recommend anyone to work with this company for a true Moroccan experience.

Luxury Trip to Morocco Travel Review: Rabat, Oualidia, Wine Tasting at a Chateau, Roman Ruins, Desert Camp, Shopping & The Food

Our trip to Morocco was truly exceptional in every way.  Our travel designer and his team delivered top-notch customized service from initial contact all the way to our return back home. My husband and I went on a 12-day trip through much of Morocco (Rabat, Fes, Marrakech, Sahara, Atlas Mountains, Oualidia, and many amazing places in between). When we arrived, our driver welcomed us with a warm smile and said we were now family. Over the next week and a half, we truly felt that we had become family as he spent every day with us sharing what his country had to offer with such incredible enthusiasm, professionalism, and knowledge. While we spent a lot of time in the car together, our driver made sure we were never bored and he went out of his way to make every experience special for us. He is a huge asset to the company and anyone would be lucky to have such an engaging Moroccan ambassador.

The travel team did an incredible job hiring local tour guides in each city. Our guides in Rabat, Fes, and Marrakech were very knowledgeable, customized the day to our interests and energy levels, and encouraged us to participate and ask questions no matter the topic. We gained a better appreciation for the history, culture, and lifestyle of each city thanks to their passion and attentiveness to our interests. We also think they created an appropriate balance of downtime and structure.

The accommodations chosen for us were high quality and in good locations. We questioned a couple of options prior to our trip, but upon arriving, understood entirely why they were chosen. For example, while we expected beautiful riads in the main cities (and they did deliver here!) we were pleasantly surprised to stay in a beautiful garden hotel in Skoura on the way to Marrakech. Of course, the desert camp was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we'll be talking about for years to come.

We were most impressed by the many nice touches the company took to provide the perfect experience for us. When we landed, we were surprised with a customized leather bag with my name in Arabic, a local cell phone, some petty cash in local dirhams, and a covid safety kit (I should note that covid was not a concern, and precautions were taken - we felt very safe). My husband was dying to try the best local tagine the country had to offer. The travel team not only set up a quality tagine lunch in Marrakech but took us behind the scenes to see the dish being made. They also made sure we always had access to bottled water and snacks in the car.

I struggle to write a review that truly reflects how amazing our experience was, but this travel team provided us with the access, luxury, and adventure that we could only have dreamed of. I highly recommend their services - you will be delighted and all expectations will be exceeded.
