Spain, Portugal Luxury Travel Review: Porto, Lisbon, Algarve, Seville, Barcelona, Museums, Cathedrals, Food Tours, 2-Week Trip
We spent two weeks in Portugal and Spain visiting five areas: Porto, Lisbon, the Algarve, Seville, and Barcelona. The trip was great; well planned and with no issues. All of our tour guides were wonderful. Our tours consisted of museums, cathedrals, food tours, city tours, and wine and sherry tastings. We also received several restaurant suggestions in every area we visited and all of them were fantastic. We would highly recommend the agency we used to anyone traveling to these countries.

Spain, Portugal Trip Review: Lisbon, Porto, San Sebastian, Barcelona, Seamless Travel, Wine, 10 Nights

My wife and I have been lucky enough to travel to many places around the world, but our April 2025 journey organized by Zicasso's tour company was easily one of the best. Our agent and her team thought of every detail. All we had to do was show up and enjoy these two beautiful countries!

We went to Four cities: Lisbon, Porto, San Sebastián, and Barcelona. The itineraries were thoughtfully planned to give us great experiences without wearing us out too much. And the guides in each city were fun, knowledgeable, and engaging. The transportation was always easy and on time, and the hotels were top-notch.

Portugal, Spain Vacation Review: Barcelona, Porto, Lisbon, Architecture, Culture, Museums, 13 Nights

We enjoyed the trip. The guides were good, although our guide in Lisbon provided a little bit too much history. But he was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his tours. The communication with the Zicasso company through WhatsApp was very good and they were very accommodating to upgrading our transport vehicle because our luggage was large. The food tours were good. We enjoyed all the sites that we saw. Barcelona, especially, was great.

We stayed at four hotels. Only the hotel in Porto was a disappointment. The other hotels were good and we were very comfortable. The breakfast that was served at the various accommodations varied in quality, but the breakfast buffet in Lisbon was extremely good. The hotel in Porto was definitely not a four-star facility. The local airline definitely does not have its act together. When we left Barcelona to come home, the line for the airline was about five or six times the length of every other line. I would have definitely been willing to pay a higher amount for a business class seat in order to use the very short line in the Porto airport.

Spain & Portugal Vacation Review: Barcelona, Granada, Seville, Sagrada Familia, Alhambra, Royal Alcazar, Sherry & Port Wine Tasting
My wife and I recently took a trip to Spain and Portugal and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment we contacted this travel company, they were incredibly helpful and attentive, carefully listening to our preferences and offering suggestions to ensure we had the best possible trip. Ana did an amazing job of putting together a personalized itinerary that included all of the sights and activities that we wanted to do. The hotels and accommodations were top-notch, and we particularly appreciated the local guides who were knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing their insights with us. Ana and Patricia followed up with us almost daily about how the trip was going, and answered our questions at any time of the day or night. The trip itself was absolutely amazing. A part of our trip was a self-driving road trip. Ana and Patricia went above and beyond in providing GPS coordinates, directions, and interesting places on the way from one city to another. In addition to being able to see all the major attractions including the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the Alhambra in Granada and the Royal Alcazar in Seville, Ana and Patricia planned some superb private tours for us. We especially enjoyed our visit to the Sherry wine region in Jerez where we enjoyed an intimate lunch at the vineyard of a charming local family and tasted some incredible Sherry wines! We also loved the private tour of the Douro Valley in Portugal which gave us the opportunity to sample some delectable Port wines at various vineyards. We truly feel like we gained a better understanding of the region through our opportunity to experience the rich culture and history of both countries. We are extremely grateful to our travel agency for making this trip a memorable experience in our life. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to plan a trip to Spain and Portugal.
