Travel Review: Luxury Spain Tour, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Olympic Stadium, Tapas Tour, Castles, Morning Runs

What a marvelous trip in Barcelona, Madrid and Seville we had thanks to our travel agency! As experienced travelers, we have worked with many tour agencies around the world. This company is among the best! Our agent paid careful attention to our preferences and desires. We opted for some private tours and some free time in each city. There were so many suggestions for restaurants and activities that we didn't miss any opportunities. We had one very minor scheduling issues as a museum was closed earlier than expected. Our agent responded within minutes and had already contacted the local guide to adjust our schedule. We couldn't have been taken care of any better during our tour of Spain!

Review: Luxury Family Vacation, Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Ronda, Tapas Tour, Local Culture, Food & Wine

Overall our travel agents did a wonderful job of planning our trip through Barcelona, Granada, Cordoba, Seville and Madrid.  Hotels were centrally located and close to major attractions.  Suggested activities for our family of 4 allowed enough time to see major attractions and also have a relaxing vacation.  It was clear that our agent and his team cared about our comfort.  They followed up regularly before and during our travel to ensure that everything was going per plan.  I appreciated the easy of reservation as well.

Spain Travel Review: History, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, 10-Day Trip

It is now more than a week since Lillian and I returned from our wonderful trip to Spain. I wanted to tell you that the trip was fantastic and the responsiveness of your travel company throughout was amazing. If ever we had a question or needed some help, the team was always available. The WhatsApp group worked perfectly and I literally never had to wait more than five minutes to get a response. Let me discuss the different aspects of the trip.

First, the guides were uniformly excellent, some, of course, better than others. They were always on time and very knowledgeable of the subject matter, the places, and the history. We felt very comfortable with them and indeed felt so close to some of them that we invited them to visit us in Boston if they are ever in that part of the US. We maximized the touring opportunities and were able to get to just about everything that was on our list. They also shared some of their personal stories, which proved to be quite meaningful as we heard about their Jewish connections and their interest in the history of the Jews in Spain.

Second, the accommodations were very good. I would say the place we stayed at in Madrid was our least favorite. It was in a great location, but the room was very small and there were very few “surfaces” to put things down on. We were pleased that for breakfast, every hotel had gluten-free bread for us. All of the hotels did a good job on breakfast. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel room in Barcelona was a bit larger and more comfortable. The staff were also very accommodating. The last two hotels we stayed at were spectacular. The one in Seville was just so beautifully laid out and the room was so elegant and detail oriented. It’s too bad we were only there for one night. The other hotel was extraordinary. The location and room rivaled the previous hotel and the gardens were just incredible. Also, we were so close to the Alhambra. The views from the room and the lunch option outside on the terrace were just wonderful.

The drivers were excellent and always on time. They did a great job and we were never rushed getting to sites or taking our time there.

The development of the itinerary was a cooperative process and our agents were always available and willing to make changes if we expressed interest in doing something that was not planned (like having a walking tour in Barcelona on a Saturday afternoon).

The following are suggestions that could have improved the trip a bit. These are not meant to be criticisms. Rather, looking back, they might have been nice.

When we arrived in Madrid and went into our room for the first time, it would have been nice to have a welcome package waiting for us with some info on the area in which we were staying, the plans for the next day, and perhaps a bottle of wine. I had sort of expected something like that.

I think a guide for the Prado would have been useful. It was a little confusing finding our way around and a guide could have provided some commentary on the paintings there.

For us, it might have been useful to have a little background on the shops and stores worth visiting in Madrid and Barcelona, and make some time for that. (We didn’t ask for this, but now it seems it would have been useful.)

Since we have returned, we have continually sung the praises of the trip and the various features you provided. It was a trip in which there was no tension about finding places, getting to places, and moving from place to place. Everything was organized beautifully. In fact, a friend just told me that because of our recommendation, she has been in touch with Zicasso for a trip she and her husband are planning for September to Austria and Berlin.

Thanks again for all the work that was put in for this trip.

Spain Vacation Review: La Sagrada Familia, Museums, Private Guides, Local Cuisine

This was an elite tour of many locations in Spain. It was a nice touch to have a Mercedes limousine service to transport us between airports or train stations and hotels.

The boutique hotels were comfortable and located within walking distance of major tourist attractions and the best old-town restaurants. We received a coveted invitation to a family booth at the Seville spring fair, then a front-row view of the bullfight, and, later, flamenco dancing. The private guides were very knowledgeable of the sites, took us to the important things to see, and photographed us for lasting memories. Spain is renowned for its fine cuisine, and we were taken to the best tapas/pintxos bars and very delighted to experience delectable Michelin-rated restaurants.

Overall, this was an exceptional experience organized by Zicasso’s very professional tour agency.

Travel Review: Custom Family Vacation to Spain, Barcelona, Granada, Alhambra, Generalife, Sevilla, Cordoba, Madrid, Toledo,...
We had a great time. For me it was an opportunity to revisit Barcelona and Seville and to visit some must see sights in other cities for the first time. For my 38 Y.O. son… he is still raving and bloging about it. The prearranged tours and transfers went well. Without a group, we were able to have a lot of free time to explore on our own and take advantage of some of the restaurant recommendations provided by this Spain tour operator. The hotels were all good and well located; location is very important to me. I lost my sunglasses in Seville. The tour operator confirmed that the Hotel Las Casas de la Judería had found them in our room and arranged for them to be sent to my home. I received the glasses in good shape. A much appreciated extra service. In all, it was an A+ experience. Thank you, Peter G Sandbank

Travel Review: Luxury Spain Tour: Madrid, Toledo, Seville, Barcelona, Cordoba, Guell Park

It was  our 1st time using this service and we are  very satisfy with services provided from this agency especially hotel with very good location in Madrid, Seville and Granada , which are located in center and near metro station . Really like Hotels both in Madrid and Seville but hotel in Barcelona is quite far from center and metro  station ,  take us a bit long walking distance and not convenience .

A excellence prepartaion in all documents provided with map, voucher including  all intertesting place in each city

All transportation and driver were very good , good car condition , polite and be on time

Only one  driver in Barcelona was  not show up  when we arrived, we had to call and found that she waited in wrong terminal and we had to wait for pick up.

Need one improvement on updated informtion about Train from Seville to Granada , which need to be  changed  from train to Bus  as we did not know in advance and it was quite complicate as we did not understand Spanish and did not know which station to get off, need to ask the other tourist .

Of course, we will recommonment your services to our friends and  may use your services for our next trip in 2016
