Norway & Finland Travel Review: Tromso, Kilpisjarvi, Northern Lights, Reindeer Ranch, Glass Igloo, Sauna
The travel agency created a fantastic custom itinerary to Tromso, Norway and Kilpisjarvi, Finland for my husband's 50th birthday. They really listened to the type of experience we were hoping to have and planned accordingly. Tromso and Kipisjarvi were two great recommendations as they combined a bit of city with a luxury rural retreat while still offering great Northern Light viewing opportunities in both places. In addition to great thinking, out travel agency provided excellent communication and logistics. All plans once we arrived on our trip were executed flawlessly with the partners they had made arrangements. I would highly recommend working with this company.

Finland, Estonia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden Vacation Review: Helsinki, Oslo, Stockholm, Tallinn, 18 Days
We recently returned from an 18-day trip that was planned and booked by Zicasso's travel company, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We had a complicated itinerary that included visits to Helsinki, Finland; a day trip to Tallinn, Estonia; Stockholm, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; and overnight stays in three areas along the fjords: Flåm, Balestrand, and Bergen. Our agent worked closely with us upfront to plan a wonderful itinerary. We were delighted with the destinations, the hotel selections (at our request, small boutique hotels with character and good locations), the guides, the travel arrangements (eg, overnight ferries, drivers where needed), etc. During our trip, there was always someone available to answer any questions we had. We are seasoned travelers who have worked with many travel agencies around the world and would absolutely recommend them without hesitation.

Sweden, Norway, Finland & Denmark Trip Review: Aurland, Copenhagen, Inari, 4-Week Tour
Excellent trip to all of the Scandinavian countries and a (all too quick) trip to Estonia. The recommendations that were included by Anna were excellent--our notable highlights:Staying two nights in Aurland--loved it so much, we could have added another nightCopenhagen, Denmark--loved the area and would have liked to explore more of the towns beyond Copenhagen. Booked a private cooking class on our own that really enhanced the cultural experience and fun.Inari, Finland--fabulous wilderness lodge next to a prime fly-fishing river (they were in the process of extending their property, so we were told that the workers start at 7am--noise not an issue, a bit unsightly construction site that our balcony overlooked).Estonia--what a lovely old town. Definitely would have liked to stay a couple of nights exploring more.Hotels--Every hotel had a fabulous location, excellent for walking to main areas of the town, lovely accommodations and quiet at night (even the one in Copenhagen by the Central Rail Station--great soundproof windows).Guides--Every guide was lively, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Even our driver to Fiskars shared his wealth of experiences since he was a local of the area!Only issues we had were primarily with drivers meeting us (mostly not being there, or no indication they were our driver). Multiple times we had to call the company providing the service. One of the vans did not have functioning air-conditioning NOR windows that opened--and it was a 2.5 hr. drive and 28C/82F that day! Also, see notes below regarding the Ferry (not an issue of our travel company, yet worth mentioning for travelers). I absolutely would recommend this travel company to others and would use them again. They were extremely prompt to address any questions/issues we had along the way (we are experiences travelers so did not contact our travel agency for every no-show driver--we just dealt directly with the pick-up service company since thankfully our travel team had provided all of the contact information)!

Norway & Finland Vacation Review: Kirkenes, Tromso, Northern Lights, Snowmobiling, Dog Sled Ride, Ice Cart Racing, Cruise
Our trip to Finland (hotel in Ivalo) and Norway (the hotel in Kirkenes, cruise and Tromso) was the trip of a lifetime! The star of the show for us was being fortunate enough to see the northern lights on multiple occasions. Beyond that, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our 3 night stay at the hotel in Ivalo. The staff was exceptional, the lodging very comfortable, the food exceptional and the activities exciting and interesting. We snowmobiled (day and night), raced ice carts, took a reindeer sleigh ride and, what we considered the most fun, drove a dog sled through the wilderness! We then had a private driver to Kirkenes for a one night stay in a cabin. Seeing the ice hotel was amazing, but sleeping there would not have been for us :). However, the cabin, scenery, food and entire property were beautiful. The next adventure was boarding a ship to travel from Kirkenes to Tromso. The ship was very nice and the scenery along the coast were things we had never seen, and probably will never see again. Simply beautiful! I will say, if you are subject to motion sickness, beware! The Barents Sea can get very rough, and while safe, this cruise is not always smooth. We arrived very late in Tromso and were unable to make our fjord cruise the next morning because we were just too tired and needed some extra rest. We wish we had one more day in Tromso to explore, but we did enjoy our walking history tour and accommodations were comfortable. Working with Anna at our travel agency was a pleasure. She was extremely responsive and attentive every step of the way. She put together a great itinerary for us when we really had no idea what we wanted to do or see. We only knew this was a place with the best chance to see the Northern Lights and we were very fortunate to see nature's light show at it's best!

Norway Travel Review: Oslo, Bergen, Hiking, Scenery, 20-Day Trip
The trip was fantastic. The first part in Oslo and Bergen was a wonderful reminder of how two uniquely picturesque small cities can touch your heart. Our self-drive was spectacular and we enjoyed the freedom of movement immensely. The boat and the length of our voyage were perfect. The food was terrific and port stops were most enjoyable. Finally, Svalbard was just as I remembered it, maybe a bit bigger, but still remote and potentially harsh, but beautiful.

Trip Review: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Estonia, Scandinavia, St. Petersburg, Bergen, Copenhagen, Trondheim, Oslo, Alesund
I am well travelled, and this was one of the absolute best trips of my life. The travel agent and her team at this travel company spoke with me to get a good understanding of the type of trip that my wife and I (both 69 years old, in good condition) wanted to experience. This was a month-long vacation for my wife and me throughout Scandinavia, which we had never toured before. Although such a trip lends itself nicely to a cruise, we did not want to be part of a large group, did not want to miss experiences in the interior of the country (away from the ports), and wanted to enjoy the experience of eating all of our meals locally, rather than on a boat. We also wanted superior accommodations, but not necessarily "luxury" where the pricing isn't worthwhile. The travel company was fantastic about recommending terrific accommodations and upgrading in many instances. Our hotels (and our designated rooms within the hotels) almost always were on water, which was a joy. Arrangements were made for tour guides at the beginning of our stay in each large city (and every day while in St. Petersburg, Russia) - the tour guides were all first-rate and the amount of time with tour guides was spot on. The favorite part of our trip was driving for 8 days in Scandinavia, from Bergen to Trondheim, with fantastic stops in between. This was completely at the suggestion of the tour company, for which we will forever be grateful. We got to see gorgeous, pristine parts of Norway, far away from the crowds. We went several days without even seeing a single stoplight! The driving was relatively simple on roads in excellent condition. We went through dozens of tunnels, saw hundreds of waterfalls, pastures, snow-capped mountains, endless fjords, etc. A couple times, we had to stop because herds of goats were blocking the road. We could stop at various places to hike trails in gorgeous countryside. Our Norway hotel was an absolute dream - incredible accommodations at a hotel that has seven unique cabins, overlooking rapids, etc. There were dozens of logistical arrangements with hotels, tour guides, ferries, etc. Every single one worked out perfectly. Although we opted for a land trip instead of a cruise, it was balanced nicely with several boat rides of 1 - 2 hours so that we also had the experience of seeing waterfalls and countryside from the fjords, and not just from the road. It was perfect!!!
