The Udzungwa Mountains frame your safari adventure, a delightful backdrop of lush forested slopes; journey into these hills on day four. Black and white colobus monkeys cover the beautiful eco-camp, private walks reveal hypnotic scenes, and a tailored itinerary can include rock climbing, village tours, or wallowing in remote rainforest wilderness.
It's silent in Ruaha National Park. Then you turn a corner and a huge elephant herd emerges through the baobab trees, or a leopard brings a spine-tingling moment to the safari. You could not have planned the trip better. It was fantastic! Our safari driver from Rangers was great - again could not of been better. He pushed every day for us to see everything possible. Hes fun and incredibly knowledgeable and has a great command of the English language. You were right to schedule one day in Nairobi - so glad we did not change it to two days. We saw the last of the Big 5 - the black rhino in Kenya. We loved all of our accommodations and the people are so friendly, polite and helpful. We saw the Great Migration in Tanzania. We would not of changed one thing. People from other tour agencies were dissapointed that when they arrived in Kenya when we did as all of the Wildebeest had already migrated to Tanzania. What you scheduled for us was perfect. I do think that Tanzania is not well known but Kenya is to the average American like us. If it wasn't for you we would of never known about Tanzania. Tanzania has it all - except the black rhino at the Govenor's Camp- no need to even go to Kenya but I did want to go the the Elephant and Giraffe orphanages. We loved Capetown, the shark cage trip and the tour operator was wonderful. The 1/2 day Capetown trip was great. We went on the historic Capetown walking tour at 11:00 after we checked out. We added the Olduvai museum at the crater to our trip. We had a wonderful time and saw so much in 17 days including traveling from the East Coast; Arusha, Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro crater, Central Serengeti - Turner Springs, Norther Serengeti - Kokatonde, Masai - Mara, Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Capetown. A trip of a lifetime.

Our Zicasso travel agent did an outstanding job. We visited Tanzania for 14 days and 13 nights. Our agent was easy to work with throughout the trip and had some great suggestions to make it the best it could be.
The hike she suggested was exceptional. Our Maasai guide and naturalist were outstanding. We were able to track an elephant that was near our camp. They showed us the tracks and scat of animals while on the hike and educated us on the animals’ movements. Then they took us to a Cape buffalo that had been killed the night before. It was awesome, and they told us to listen for hyenas that night. It happened like clockwork.
Our agent also suggested we not fly out of Dar es Salaam. I believe this saved us a lot of aggravation. All the domestic flights were flawless.
Our guide for the 14 days was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and had eagle eyes. He was easy to be with and always made us feel comfortable.
One suggestion I have for future safari goers would be to get passes for more than one park. I picked this time of year to see the calving, but the majority of the birthing was taking place about an hour away from us in a park we didn't have access to on those days. This would cost more, I'm sure, but would be worth it. We saw a lot of the migration and it was amazing, even though we missed the birthing. We did see one gnu attempting a birth, but we believe it was stillborn. We observed her for 30 to 40 minutes and she was never able to pass the calf.
All of the accommodations were exceptional and the food was incredible. How they are able to put on a five-star dinner each night in the bush is miraculous.
Our travel agent was always checking in with our guide and when I had a question in Zanzibar, she got back with the answer promptly. I couldn't recommend her and her company more highly. She made a bucket-list trip flawless.

Everything went smoothly and as planned. We were met at the Ngorongoro Sopa lodge as arranged and driven to the Lake Eyasi lodge. It was quite hot at Lake Eyasi and the rooms didn't have A/C of fans so were quite uncomfortable at night. The tents at all the other sites were very comfortable with the exception of the shower. Some of the shower heads didn't work very well and a couple of times there was inadequate hot water but generally the shower facility was more than adequate and if you asked for more hot water you would get it.
The guide was good but his knowledge of birds should be improved. His knowledge of the animals was excellent. His driving was excellent and his "dust management" was excellent.
The dust in the Ndutu area was terrible but there isn't really anything anyone can do about it. The dust in the other areas of the park and conservation area wasn't as bad but there was still lots of it.
