Detailed Description

The Serengeti and Maasai Mara need little introduction. This epic ecosystem is home to the great wildebeest migration, during which over two million mammals kick up dust as they travel across seemingly endless grass plains. This handcrafted adventure takes you and your partner to the heart of the action, using a series of unique safari experiences and romantic camps to unveil the untamed beauty of a world famous land. It's a chance to get lost amongst some of the most beautiful landscapes on our earth, and an opportunity for an adventurous escape that's miles from modern civilization or other tourists. You'll spend four days crossing the Serengeti, two days in the Maasai Mara, and a further three days of safari in two of East Africa's equally impressive destinations: Ngorongoro Crater and Amboseli National Park.

This isn't a standard trip across four renowned reserves and national parks. Carefully blending the sublime nature with romantic touches, this tailored itinerary offers fresh perspectives designed with the escaping couple in mind. Like private hot air balloon trips above the Serengeti plains, mobile camps miles from any other visitor, and walking safaris in pachyderm country. It all starts in Ngorongoro Crater, an extinct volcano that's developed into arguably the planet's most abundant natural reserve. Sometimes it's possible to spot the Big Five within a mile of each other. But this safari isn't about notions of check lists and the Big Five. You become absolutely submerged in a world untamed. Senses are elevated as lion roars resonate through the camp, antelope graze beside your veranda, and the panoramas stretch on for eternity.

After two Ngorongoro game drives you head into the Serengeti on day three. Start in the southeastern corner of the park, a mass congregation point for calving wildebeest and big cats. Admire this patchwork of immense herds from the sky with a hot air balloon ride above the plains, complete with champagne and spine-tingling vistas. Now follow the herds on the migratory route, journeying along the western sections of the park and lazily enjoying an afternoon on the banks of the Grumeti River. This is where the ungulates are chased across the river by cats and have to avoid the jaws of ravenous crocodiles. Continue the journey into the heart of the hinterland where a mobile camp is surrounded with all the action. Wildebeest and zebra meander past your luxury tent followed, as always, by a cast of indelible predators.

On day seven you leave Tanzania, continuing your journey through the ecosystem by crossing into Kenya's Maasai Mara. The mesmerizing interaction between predator and prey continues, the abundance of natural hunting scenes surprising even the most experienced safari aficionado. Completing the safari immersion is Amboseli National Park. Herds of elephants wander beneath the snow-capped jewel of Mount Kilimanjaro, the predators continue to impress, and antelopes graze on lush grass beside your balcony. As always, your en-suite tent will redefine impressions of camping and ensure you and your partner are alone in the wilderness.

For all the dazzling adventure and thrills, this itinerary also brings continual charm and serenity. Clink glasses around a crackling camp fire, let nature sing a lullaby, and spend endearing hours watching the wildlife roll past your veranda. Little touches elevate the romance, like candlelit dinner tables in the bush and a swimming pool with views onto the plains. This is an itinerary for couples who value space and privacy. In each camp there are just a few or no other guests and it's unlikely you will see them. All safari activities are private and your discreet guide knows how to find a balance between unveiling the wildlife world and leaving you alone with nature. So jump in to ten days of adventure, relaxation, and romantic indulgence in nature's most spectacular wilderness. This is your Tanzania romantic getaway!

Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia & South Africa Review, Luxury Africa Safari, Nairobi, Serengeti, Cape Town, Tarangire National Park

You could not have planned the trip better. It was fantastic! Our safari driver from Rangers was great - again could not of been better. He pushed every day for us to see everything possible. Hes fun and incredibly knowledgeable and has a great command of the English language. You were right to schedule one day in Nairobi - so glad we did not change it to two days. We saw the last of the Big 5 - the black rhino in Kenya. We loved all of our accommodations and the people are so friendly, polite and helpful. We saw the Great Migration in Tanzania. We would not of changed one thing. People from other tour agencies were dissapointed that when they arrived in Kenya when we did as all of the Wildebeest had already migrated to Tanzania. What you scheduled for us was perfect. I do think that Tanzania is not well known but Kenya is to the average American like us. If it wasn't for you we would of never known about Tanzania. Tanzania has it all - except the black rhino at the Govenor's Camp- no need to even go to Kenya but I did want to go the the Elephant and Giraffe orphanages. We loved Capetown, the shark cage trip and the tour operator was wonderful. The 1/2 day Capetown trip was great. We went on the historic Capetown walking tour at 11:00 after we checked out. We added the Olduvai museum at the crater to our trip.  We had a wonderful time and saw so much in 17 days including traveling from the East Coast;  Arusha, Tarangire National park,  Ngorongoro crater, Central Serengeti - Turner Springs, Norther Serengeti - Kokatonde, Masai - Mara, Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Capetown. A trip of a lifetime.

Tanzania Group Africa Safari Review: Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara Sunsets
There are no words for the incredible trip to Tanzania from which we have just returned, all planned to perfection by our travel planner at this travel company. Our guide was with us from start to finish and showed us amazing sites and animals - its hard to believe there is a better guide in Tanzania than ours! I would highly recommend both our planner and guide who made sure our trip left nothing to be desired. Looking back, there is not one thing I would change if I could do it all over again (which I would in a heartbeat). Our trip began with two nights in Arusha getting acclimated before heading out on safari. We spent most of the full day we had in Arusha at an amazing place called Jifundishe, a library, school, community center and much more that does incredible work to help the local community - I would highly recommend a visit there. Next, we headed to Tarangire National Park, where we spent about a day and a half exploring the abundant wildlife, including at our beautiful resort, Maramboi Tented Camp (two nights), where the zebras, wildebeests and gazelles hung around right outside our rooms and where we could watch gorgeous sunsets over Lake Manyara as we enjoyed happy hour each evening. After Tarangire, we heading toward Ngorongoro Crater where we enjoyed two nights at the beautiful and peaceful Plantation Lodge, relaxing by the pool in the afternoons after a full day in the crater. Next, we headed to the gorgeous Serengeti where we stayed for four nights in the spectacular Roving Bushtops camp, a very intimate and special experience. Our group of 7 made up half of the camp of beautiful tents in a serene atmosphere and we were well taken care of by the most attentive staff, who anticipated our every need (even before we did!). The food at all of our accommodations was beyond expectation in both quality and quantity. We were sad to leave this beautiful country but hope to return one day in the future.

Travel Review: Tanzania Africa Safari, Zanzibar, Serengeti, Arusha, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, 10-Day Tour
The travel company planned and arranged the best trip we've ever been on! Everything was taken care of, and all of their recommendations were spot on. Our trip to Tanzania began in Arusha and Lake Manyara, followed by a day in the Ngorongoro crater, 4 nights in Northern Serengeti, and 3 nights in Zanzibar. Each leg of the trip was the perfect amount of time--not too long, not too short, and the order in which we did them was perfect as well. This was all on the travel company's suggestion. Our favorite lodge was Lemala Kuria Hills in Northern Serengeti, but they were all superb. I can't say enough good things about this trip and about the travel company's advice and planning, and we have been recommending them to all of our friends and family who have seen our pictures and heard our stories and want to go!

Tanzania Africa Safari Review: Arusha National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Central & Northern Serengeti National Parks, Village
This travel team helped us plan and realize the Safari of our dreams.  They listened carefully, asked questions, and we worked together to create a diverse and rich itinerary.  From the moment we landed in Killimanjaro, every detail of transportation, lodging, dining, and guides was seamless, and we felt free to enjoy the beauty of the landscapes and living creatures inhabiting Arusha National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Central and Northern Serengetti National Parks, and all points between. A travel planner reached out to us midway to make sure everything was proceeding to plan, and another planner was in touch as soon as we safely arrived home to debrief and solicit detailed feedback. Without hesitation, we strongly recommend this travel team, and we plan to use their services again in the future.

Safari Review: Luxury Kenya & Tanzania Safari, Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangeri, Maasai Mara
The accommodations were wonderful as were the destinations Alana from this African safari tour operator helped us select. We really appreciated the diversity of the places we visited and stayed at: Amboselli, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangeri, and two concessions in the Maasai Mara. Each park and each camp had something special to offer. One camp had only luxury 7 tents, one had 40 raised tents . Some were in between (with 15-20 individual units). Not all accommodations were tented... as Alana selected some luxury smaller lodge type properties too. Each was different and had a unique personality which only added to the trip. Whether it was the view of Kilimanjaro, the resident warthogs, the sneaky monkeys, the elephants that visited the water hole for an evening drink, the gourmet food, the incredible service, the night game drive, the walking safari, the picnic breakfast or the Maasai spotters.. each facility and each destination was perfect.
