Detailed Description

Discover the endless wonder of Thailand on this 11-day trip that will take you through the diverse cultures from north to south. From the meandering bustle of Bangkok to the charming town-like streets of Chiang Mai, the elegant jungle to the pristine shores of Phuket, you will have the vast expanse of the country to venture through, giving you a taste of the beaches and the bays, the wildlife and city life, all wrapped up in one stretch of fabulous world that is meant for you to experience.

Many Thailand tours begin in the remarkable city of Bangkok where the world seems to speed up in the rush of the streets; however, hidden pathways and parks make it seem like even the most flourished rush can come to a beautiful stop. The inexhaustible energy of the city revs you up and has you out exploring Bangkok’s grandeur the following morning. Cruise along the “River of Kings,” the Chao Praya River which runs right through the city, to see the fabulous life that has taken shape beside the riverbanks.

Wat Arun is also known as the Temple of Dawn and glows in the early morning and at dusk like a beacon. Inside the Grand Palace complex you can see the celebrated and venerable Emerald Buddha draped in gilded robes before venturing to Wat Trimitr to witness the five and a half ton solid gold Buddha, once hidden within a stucco cast. You will find yourself with day at leisure within the rush of the city, allowing you to explore at your own pace, from stunning floating markets to bustling shopping districts, there is always more to discover within the metropolis.

Your exploration continues in Chiang Mai, considered the capital of the north. The Old City is located behind the fortress walls where a moat continues to wrap around the red brick of an imposing fortification. The city blossoms with history and modernity where activity abounds. Spend the first half of the following day at a marvelous elephant camp where you can see the splendid animal reserve along the open jungle. Whether witnessing a jubilant show or traveling through the trees on elephant back, the majestic mammal will have you wanting to return to feed, pet, and watch them live once again.

The latter half of the day brings you through the fabulous temples located in and around the city proper, including on the summit of Doi Suthep, where a tremendous stairway awaits. On the island of Phuket you will find opulent Sino-Portuguese buildings in Old Town that stretch along the streets in colorful facades. Fantastic panoramas look out over pristine shores and immaculate beaches. Venture out to Phang Nga Bay and see the giant karsts that were showcased in the James Bond film, “The Man with the Golden Gun.” Swim with regal and graceful fish in the coral reef along Khai Island. Spend a day luxuriating on the sand or adventuring through the jungle hills of the island where you will discover nothing less than complete magnificence. You will return to Bangkok once more before you make your way home.

Thailand Travel Review: Bangkok, Koh Samui, Temples, Elephant Experience, Cooking Class, Scenery, Markets, Boat Ride, 9 Days

We had a great trip to Thailand with our Zicasso trip planner. They set us up with a very helpful guide in Bangkok, who made it easy from the time we stepped off the plane, through all the temples, activities, night markets, tuk-tuks, and boats.

Our hotel in Bangkok was great, with nice views and a nice breakfast buffet. We took the free hotel ferry to the shopping mall and it was a lot of fun.

Our resort in Koh Samui was incredible. It had a great beach and pool. The elephant sanctuary and the cooking class were highlights. We would probably pass on Pig Island next time as it was very dirty and we saw pigs getting attacked.

Overall, we had a great time and the tour guide took care of us completely, from start to finish.

Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore Travel Review: Lan Ha Bay, Angkor Thom, Chiang Mai, Cruise, Mountain Biking, Elephant Sanctuary, 15 Nights

We had an amazing, nearly three-week trip throughout Southeast Asia. Zicasso's tour operators did an incredible job planning all of the details of the trip. In general, I am not easily impressed and I tend to be pretty upfront with my criticism. In this case, I was truly impressed. I really don't have any criticism about the whole experience.

This was a very complicated trip, with eight cities/locations and six internal flights. We had great communication in the months and weeks leading up to the trip. They were receptive to all of our requests and they gave very good advice when we had questions.

All of the guides were great. The hotels were amazing and all of the details of the activities, transfers, and internal flights were well thought out and well coordinated. I was so impressed by their attention to detail. They were also willing to be flexible and able to make changes, even during the trip. I was able to reach them throughout the trip by WhatsApp and they responded quickly every time. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Thailand Family Travel Review: Bangkok, Cheow Lan Lake, Elephant Experience, 13 Nights

Zicasso's tour planner did an impeccable job planning my family's trip to Thailand! The trip he planned for us was carefully considered and the coordination of all the tours, travel, and accommodations was seamless. He was extremely patient and responsive when we needed to change things, which was frequently. I never had any problems getting to where we needed to be and we loved all of our excursions and our accommodations. Would highly recommend him!

Thailand Trip Review: Chiang Mai, 8 Nights

Zicasso's travel expert addressed our one issue with our bed instantly and helped with navigating having to potentially go home because of health issues. Aside from that, our tour guide in Chiang Mai was the best we have ever had and to top it, he was a photographer, so took the most amazing photos for us.

I felt Bangkok was tough to rate because it was a very busy, dirty city, but we had an amazing guide one evening. We had issues with the driver showing up at the right time a few times, but mostly in Bangkok. Our agent was the best at addressing our needs.
