Victoria Falls – Sunset Dinner Cruise and the Charms of the Zambezi
Land in Victoria Falls and you will likely expect the roaring river, the giant waterfall, and perhaps even the baboons. But check into the tented camp, and there’s a herd of elephants welcoming you. Hippos are down in the water below, and a zebra herd is grazing next to your suite. It’s all an indication of how wildlife plays an essential role almost everywhere in Zimbabwe. Your camp is set within its own wildlife reserve, with the prime attraction being the animal that gives the camp its name. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the camp, watching more than just elephants wander past, opening your ears to the strange sounds of the bush.
There are only a handful of guests in the entire reserve, helping to ensure tranquility after the flight. As the afternoon ebbs away, you glide along the Zambezi, a dinner cruise opening up the wonders of this famous waterway. Hippos are emerging from the water just as you’re served your starter. Nile crocodiles are sloping into the water as sunset tones ripple across the water. Dessert is accompanied by haunting sounds, the monkeys piping up and the baboons guiding you back towards the camp.

This was an unforgettable trip that my wife and I will always cherish. It was our second time visiting Cape Town and we truly enjoyed exploring different parts of the city that we hadn’t seen before.
I highly recommend experiencing a safari at Matetsi in Zimbabwe. It was absolutely incredible. While in Zimbabwe, a visit to Victoria Falls is an absolute must.
Zicasso's travel planner and her team were fantastic, addressing any concerns we had and recommending excellent restaurants for dinner, which made our experience even more special.

This was a trip of a lifetime. We are not sure we will ever be able to top it! I have never cried leaving a place before because I was so sad it was over, but I did... three times! From the incredible food and views in Cape Town to the unforgettable adventure at the buffalo camp to the amazing views of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, we cannot say enough good things about our experience.
We've used Zicasso several times and have always had a great experience. That's why we keep coming back! But our experience with this travel agency was above and beyond all our expectations. The way our travel agent crafted our trip to meet our desires; stayed in constant contact via text, phone and email; provided us a departure call to walk us through every step of the trip before we left; and stayed connected throughout our trip to ensure we were having a good time and help us tweak some things along the way was customer service like we have never received. We would work with this agency and our agent again in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends and family.

Our first trip to southern Africa was amazing, exceeding all expectations. We saw everything we came to see, and more. The game rides were well structured and safe, the visuals were unbelievable, and taking a side trip to Victoria Falls was a great idea. The accommodations were quite luxurious, despite being considered mid-range. There was always someone there to greet us and guide us at every travel point.
Zicasso's tour operator tailored our itinerary to our wishes and was wonderful to work with. Things couldn’t have gone better.

It was a transcendent experience. Planning with Zicasso's travel agent was a joy. The accommodations were first class, the experiences were first rate, and the food was fabulous. The only thing I would change which was a big thing was 4 3/4 of our 11 day trip being devoted to Victoria Falls. It was the only reason I don’t give it a 5. In Zimbabwe, we weren’t allotted enough to keep us interested in that we like to go go go when we travel. What we did could have been accomplished in two days and we could have had another day on safari.
