It was a real pleasure working with Zicasso’s travel agency to put together a tour which took into consideration all our requirements. When we arrived, they provided us with a WhatsApp contact, which was great to have, but fortunately, we did not need it. The 14-day tour around Costa Rica worked perfectly. All but one of our transfers were private and the drivers always arrived on time and were friendly and knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, so even the transfers provided interesting sightings. The hotels were very different in style, some large, others small, and we loved that variety.

There was one very small change to our flight time from Puerto Jiménez to San José, which the agency notified us about in good time. They also updated the hotel. Top marks to this company!

The Zicasso travel agency planned and organized our fun trip to Belize. They were eager to listen to what we wanted to do, provide insight and ideas, and work with the schedule and budget we suggested. We were a small group that wanted individualized attention and they accommodated that.

We covered Belize. We explained how much we wanted to see in a limited amount of time and they achieved that. As we neared, they were in solid communication so we would know what to expect and how to stay in touch. On the occasions when we needed assistance, they immediately got back to us.

I would recommend this travel company to others for their travel needs.

I visited Costa Rica years ago and have always wanted to return with my family. Zicasso and the travel agency helped me make that dream a reality! Costa Rica is filled with natural beauty and welcoming, friendly people, and everyone in my family had a wonderful time. The accommodations, connections, and excursions set up by our travel agent were flawless. He was easily accessible via WhatsApp during the trip to help smooth out any concerns we had. I would definitely use this travel company again!

We recently returned from a trip to Costa Rica. The Zicasso travel company set it up for my husband, me, our son, daughter-in-law and grandsons aged 18 and 16. Their planning and execution were flawless.

Our agent, his wife, and our driver met us at the airport with chocolate and a Costa Rican print for each of us. We had transportation for all three places we visited (La Fortuna, Monteverde, and Manuel Antonio), as well as transportation for all our excursions. In La Fortuna and Manuel Antonio, we stayed at high-end resorts and loved them. In Monteverde we stayed at a hotel. The staff there were outstanding.

The travel agents checked on us several times during the trip and were always available if we had a problem. We had no problems, but they were always available if needed.

Zicasso’s travel agent did a wonderful job of including all our requested activities, even scheduling rest days.

She and her team were great while we were in Belize! They were very responsive and adaptable. I would book a tour with them again.

My husband and I planned this trip to Costa Rica as a gift for my grandson, age 13, and granddaughter, age 10. Most impressive was the Zicasso travel agent's choice of hotels.

In Arenal, we had a very spacious two-bedroom, two-bath unit. The master suite included an enormous spa which entertained the kids when a thunderstorm prevented them from enjoying the pool. This was a very safe, family-friendly resort overlooking the volcano. There were several hot springs and a swimming pool that we took advantage of. Breakfast was good and offered plenty of variety.

The hotel in Manuel Antonio was conveniently located within walking distance of an array of good restaurants. The unit was a modern three-bedroom, two-bath unit and the elevator took you directly to your unit.

In addition to the fabulous accommodations, every activity we booked went as planned and everyone showed up on time.

We had an incredible trip to Costa Rica, thanks to our Zicasso agent’s expert planning and our guide's exceptional knowledge and kindness.

We wanted to plan a family trip to celebrate a milestone birthday, but as a group of six adults with different tastes, activity levels, and even dates for the trip, we were looking for someone to make life easy for us. Our agent did that and more. After just one meeting, he built us an itinerary that turned out to be perfect for all involved, from the hotels to locations and activities. Before traveling, he happily answered any question without trouble and stayed in contact with us throughout the trip.

Our guide was extremely amicable, had an impressive knowledge about Costa Rica, and an eye for the area's wildlife. We couldn’t have asked for more.

We absolutely loved Belize and how our Zicasso travel planner organized the trip.

Our room at the first resort was lovely (not our favorite though). Housekeeping did a great job. They brought us coffee each morning at 7am per our request. The service was also quite good. We had breakfast each day and it was delicious. We only had dinner our first night and it was also quite good. The wait time for the food was pretty slow though.

Our boat tour to Hol Chan was magic! I felt like I was in an underwater Disney movie. The crew of the boat were wonderful. Our guide waited on us hand and foot and was a great snorkeling guide.

Our lodge in the Maya Mountains was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the casita, but did not care for how dark it was in the main room and the bathroom. We had to use flashlights to peruse our luggage to dress and trying to apply makeup was a nightmare. Also, due to the lack of air conditioning, the room was very musty. Thus, sinking into your pillow after a long day was a bit off-putting due to the smell. The staff at this lodge were 150% over the top with customer care. If I could give each and every person employed here 10 stars, I would.

We liked the tours during this portion of the trip as well. The ATM cave guides were awesome!! I would highly encourage you to request them for all of your clients.

I was not over the moon about the food at the lodge. I was under the impression breakfast was included, but it was only a continental breakfast which consisted of approximately three tablespoons of plain yogurt, two tablespoons of granola, some fruit, and a hard-boiled egg. So while I'm sure it must have been a misunderstanding on my part, it was a bit disappointing. Having said that, the other breakfast offerings were fantastic!

On a good note, the produce was excellent since it is grown there, but the proteins were very tasteless and always overcooked. From chicken on a salad or wrap at lunch to lamb and lomito, the food was literally always overcooked, even though they asked for your temperature preference.

Having said that, overall, the lodge was fantastic and you could not ask for better staff or customer care.

The resort in Placencia was a great way to finish the trip. The service was great and we were treated like friends of the family, which we loved. It was such a special place, with a wonderful vibe and community of employees. The snorkeling was amazing. Our guides knocked it out of the park in regard to all water/boating activities. The servers and bartenders at the restaurant were so funny, and over-the-top accommodating! The food was very good. We liked our room a lot, but there were a few issues with it. Housekeeping was basically non-existent. I totally understand that due to all of the birds/sea birds that poop happens, but our deck area by the plunge pool would be peppered with poop and not once did anyone clean it off. Here too, the lighting in the bathroom was really bad. I'm not looking for mood lighting in a bathroom. Ha! One of the windows would not shut completely either. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable of the three resorts though. We loved our plunge pool and spent so much time just relaxing, watching the ocean, and being together. I don't know if I would recommend this place to families with children under 14 though.

Lastly, our agent’s attention to detail and prompt replies to my questions/concerns were wonderful. You did a fantastic job and I truly appreciate the work you put in to make this another fantastic anniversary trip!

We discussed the possibility of visiting Antigua Guatemala and then returning to our last resort on a future trip. Next August, we head to Kenya and Zanzibar for our 10th, but after that, this could be possible.

Out of all of our travels, I love the food and service we have always been provided in Central America. Well, except for Costa Rica (the food is very bland haha)!
