Panama Tour Review: Panama City, Bocas del Toro, Isla Bastimentos, 8-Night Trip

The trip was very good. We loved Panama City and the excursions we took there. Our disappointment concerns Bocas del Toro and what we were led to believe there. The beach conditions on all of Isla Bastimentos were not favorable for swimming or snorkeling. The seas were too rough, although that was not communicated to us.

Panama Trip Review: Panama City, Boquete, Isla Palenque, Panama Canal, Food Tour, 10 Nights

Zicasso’s travel agent planned the most wonderful trip to celebrate my husband’s retirement. We began in Panama City, staying at an amazing hotel in the heart of it all. He arranged a fascinating backstage tour of the Panama Canal, where we watched massive cruise ships pass through the final lock. A walking gastronomy tour led us to hidden culinary gems throughout the city, with a local café being my favorite stop. He also provided an excellent list of restaurants, conveniently located near our hotel.

Our next destination was Boquete, where we stayed at our resort in Boquete. The massages there were exceptional—be sure to book the volcanic clay massage; it’s unforgettable. We enjoyed a Geisha coffee tour (the most expensive coffee in the world), a rum-tasting adventure, and a hike along the Pipeline Trail. Some sections were easy, while others offered just the right amount of challenge.

Our final stop was, without question, the highlight of the trip: Isla Palenque. It felt like stepping into Jurassic Park—minus the dinosaurs. The views were absolutely stunning in every direction. The food was beyond amazing and the tours were educational and exciting.

Our travel agent truly makes dreams come true.

Zicasso’s travel agent was very competent and patient with us about our needs and wants, and was very accommodating regarding changes to the trip. Panama is a beautiful country, with great people and amazing animal diversity. We saw lots of birds and monkeys. And the beaches we visited were the most inviting ever!!

Panama Trip Review: Panama City, Boquete, Bocas del Torre, Casco Antiguo, Hiking, Waterfalls, Birds, Cuisine, 11 Nights

Zicasso’s travel agency did an incredible job with our trip to Panama, a very special place to travel.

Our agent listened to our preferences and accommodated them in every detail, starting with our selection of locales: Panama City, Boquete, and Bocas del Torre.

We were well taken care of at every turn, starting with being met at the gate and escorted through customs. We had private tours for every activity, with excellent guides and drivers. Our hotels were all lovely and special. Our agent surprised us with special extras several times. I would highly recommend this tour company.

Panama Travel Review: El Valle de Anton, Boquete, Cooking Experience, 1 Week

This trip to Panama was nothing short of spectacular!

Not a single detail was overlooked. Every transfer, every tour guide, every person that we met, and every destination we went to was absolutely wonderful.

This trip was exceptional! Incredibly well planned and incredibly thought out. The tours were excellent and the experiences were unforgettable. The agroecology cooking experience was out of this world! We even had a rainbow appear in the sky while we were there and we credited Zicasso’s travel company with setting it up—that’s how perfect it was!
