Travel Review: Luxury Family Trip to Argentina, Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting, Vineyard Tour

Our daughter is studying abroad in Buenos Aires and we wanted to visit her and see Argentina. Our travel agent sent us many interesting options for our 12 trip. We are a family of 4 and our children are adults(20 and 22). Every flight, every tour and every pick up to and from our destinations were PERFECT. Everyone was courteous and friendly aside from knowledgeable. We went to Bariloche for 3 nights, Buenos Aires for 3 nights, and Mendoza for 4 nights. Our accommodations were perfect and our pre arranged activities met our expectations. The hotel in Bariloche is the most picturesque setting imaginable.  The hotel in Buenos Aires was perfectly located for our activities. The lodge in Mendoza was the closest thing to heaven we have ever experienced.

Luxury Argentina Tour Review: Fishing in Limay River, Horseback Riding, Wineries, Mountains, El Calafate, Lake Gutierrez, Art
First, we all agree that our Argentina trip was fully 5 stars in all respects. The people with this travel team were courteous and always available, especially through the message function in the travel app. They always knew exactly where we were in our trip which was comforting as we were new to Argentina. All pick-ups were on time and the drivers were helpful and polite. The guides were all first class; they were an important contributor to the overall quality of our experience. The trip overall was very well organized. Not also that the in-country flights were all on time with no lost baggage. The estancias were wonderful and we would recommend staying at least two full days at each one. There is so much to do there for those who like the outdoors, and the atmosphere there is very relaxing.  The estancias on Lake Gutierrez was elegant in a refined way, while the estancias in El Calafate was more rustic with a feeling of being at the ends of the earth. The food at both was excellent and the scenery was nearly unbelievable. The glacier boat trip is a must-do for all travelers and being in the VIP lounge is a great experience. Lots of fun to drink whisky with iceberg rocks! The mountains and ice fields are just spectacular. Not nearly as cold as we thought it might be.The day of visiting wineries in Mendoza was something that we were lukewarm about, but it was absolutely terrific. The wineries we visited were amazing works of architectural art. The wine was great and the food was just wonderful. The tours through the wineries were fascinating. What a great day!The horseback riding above Mendoza was very enjoyable, with a great guide and well-trained horses. Seeing so many condors, some close up, was exciting for us all. And wine and lunch at the cattle station was a new experience, lots of fun.Bariloche was great and so was El Calafate. So much to see and do, and we had such good weather. A particular standout was the day trip to the Valle Encantado. Another place to spend a couple of full days hiking, fishing in the Limay river, eating the wonderful food, and just relaxing. What a great trip!A couple of comments. the hotel in Mendoza needs to upgrade their beds and pillows. It was almost impossible to sleep well there. And, no in-room coffee. Good food and friendly staff, though. We would have been better off staying right in town for restaurant access, but others may prefer the rural location of the hotel. The hotel in Buenos Aires is 5 stars. Everything about it made us want to stay there longer. And the staff was very helpful in steering us to local places to eat. Palermo is charming and just chock full of terrific restaurants. There is a bistro restaurant that served a great dinner accompanied with equally good wines. Highly recommended. The Bariloche hotel is also very nice. Right on the lake, very welcoming rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.I could go on, but will bring my review to a conclusion. We could not have been more pleased with our first trip to Argentina and this travel team and Zicasso deserve all the credit. We would highly recommend Ibiza and would definitely have them plan our next trip to Argentina.Mike J.Corvallis, Montana, USA

Travel Review: Luxury Argentina Tour, Mendoza, Bariloche, Buenos Aires, Wine Tasting, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, 2-Week Trip
Zicasso set us up with our travel company to plan a two week trip exclusively throughout Argentina. We had planned on traveling with our dear friends we have known sense childhood so we wanted every aspect of the trip to be special but not overly ‘programmed’. Our travel specialist, owner of the travel company helped us from the onset and proved to be an amazing and graceful planner all the way through the planning and actual travel. We visited Mendoza, Bariloche and Buenos Aires and every detail of inter-country flights and transfers to excursion outfitters and beautiful meals were suggested. We went on an amazing three vineyard tour with our agent in Mendoza that was not only informative but included a beautiful lunch and lots of laughs. Our travel company also set us up in a luxury hotel & spa for our stay in Mendoza, a perfectly appointed small hotel in the midddle of a vineyard with a clean modern feel but equally warm and comfortable. The trip continued to the ‘Lake Region’ of Bariloche where we stayed with the most idelic view across the lake towards the glacier capped Andes. A full service Resort that did not disappoint with every amenity and outstanding and personable service throughout. The Kayak and Mountain Biking adventures were a major highlight of the trip that will be with us for the rest of our lives. Ending the trip in Buenos Aries was a perfect treat at the hotel in the Palermo District. The historical tour that our travel specialist set up was a perfect primer to learn about the rich and deep history of one of the truly beautiful cities of the world. The Asado was outstanding and of courcse the Malbec is endless.many thanks to our travel specialist and the amazing staff at all our stays....Argentina te amamos!

Luxury Argentina Travel Review: Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Bariloche, Food & Wine, Hiking, 12-Day Vacation
I cannot say enough positive remarks about our trip, using this travel agency...designed specifically by Ezequiel, who clearly listen to what we wanted and truly made it happen. From the moment we arrived in Buenos Aires airport, our driver arrived promptly, letting us know we were in great hands. We were met by a member of the team, at our hotel, where she not only went over our itinerary, but helped us locate a great place to eat and answer any specific questions. She remained extremely attentive during our entire time in Argentina to ensure we were satisfied, and all was going well. She checked on us when we arrived in each location, and promptly answered any questions we had despite the time of day.  When we arrived in Mendoza, our guide was there to greet us and again share our itinerary, answered questions, and provided some great suggestions for our leisure day. The hotels Ezequiel chose, were exactly what we wanted, as well as each of the wineries, food experiences and cooking classes we took. From Mendoza we went to Bariloche, where our guide met us and continued the great customer service, immediately making us feel comfortable in our new setting. Her knowledge of the area was unremarkable. We learned so much.We ended back in Buenos Aires for another couple of days, again experiencing food and wine that was outstanding and so much fun. Each guide we met and our Milonga instructor made this a trip of a lifetime. Our drivers were also very good.I will use Zicasso again, and have already shared what a great company it is to our friends and family.  If you go to Argentina, request Ezequiel to design your trip and make sure Pia is in charge of you when you arrive.

Argentina Trip Review: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, Iguazu Falls, Wildlife, Glaciers, Wine Tasting
By my standards, our trip to Argentina was complicated. Through Zicasso’s travel agency, we visited six locations (Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, and Iguazú), involving six flights. Overall, the trip proceeded smoothly, with only a few minor problems. I was amazed by the efficiency of the airlines, and the tours and tour guides at each stop were top-notch.

Argentina Tour Review: Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Iguazu Falls, Glaciar Castano Overo, Cerro Campanario, Helicopter Tour, Olive Oil Tasting, Wine Tour, 14 Days

Argentina is an amazing country and we had a fantastic time! The travel agent from Zicasso's travel company helped curate a trip that checked all the boxes of what we enjoy about travel. The history, neighborhoods, and dancing we experienced in Buenos Aires were fascinating. The dining experience at the restaurant near Plaza Serrano was top-notch. The scenic beauty we observed in Bariloche was inspiring, and the thrills and views of Iguazú Falls we experienced and witnessed were simply amazing.

Highlights included the Glaciar Castaño Overo hike with the guides (they were great people and we really enjoyed their company; we would highly recommend them). The views from Cerro Campanario in Bariloche. The jet-boat ride and helicopter tour at Iguazú will leave lasting memories imprinted on my brain. It was just a stellar experience that no one should miss when coming to the area. The lunch and olive oil tasting on our wine tour was a delight and unique from any wine tour we’ve ever done.

All around, it was a great trip that went pretty smoothly from start to finish. We are grateful to the travel specialist for putting it all together (hotels, excursions, internal flights, transfers, etc.) so all we had to do was show up and enjoy.
