Bali is an island paradise on the Indonesian archipelago known for more than just the serene beauty but also the inspiring ambiance emanating from the historical culture. Your flight lands at Ngurah Rai International Airport, where your private transfer greets the family upon arrival. You make the brief journey to Sanur, the perfect town for parents and children due to a fine assortment of restaurants, bars, and private resorts spread across a thin stretch of beach protected by a colorful reef. The shoreline reaches approximately three miles along the east coast pressing against lush greenery hiding the local shops and cafes.
The scent of the sea blends with the aroma of white jasmine flowers. You continue to a performance known as the Barong and Kris dance, reflecting the eternal struggle between good and evil. Two men play a large lion figure known as Rangda who embodies demons with long fingernails and a drooping chest. The hero, Barong, is depicted by men wrapped in banana leaves wearing masks. In the different regions of Bali, Barong can take the shape of a wild pig, tiger, snake, dragon, or lion depending on which animal is more sacred to local lore. The hotel in Sanur was absolutely special! We highly recommend it. The resort in Ubud was also wonderful. The staff were great. We had no idea this town was such a vibrant place and would have loved more time to explore it, possibly from a walkable hotel.
Our guide and driver were wonderful and flexible when we needed to stop for a Diet Coke and iced cappuccino. We also felt that Zicasso's travel company was flexible with our changes as we went.
We did the Bali safari on our transfer day and it was a stop we really enjoyed.
Nice job, all involved!

I wish I could assign more than five stars to this trip. Zicasso’s travel specialist and his team were exceptional! From initial planning to seamless execution, attention to detail, and follow-up, we were blown away! We’ve had great experiences with Zicasso and this was hands down the best!
Our travel specialist answered every question promptly and provided so much additional information. He consistently checked in with us to make sure everything was going well and to our liking. It was truly customized, including a private craft beer tour in Kuala Lumpur for my husband. I don’t even remember telling him some of our preferences, like favorite sodas that were stocked in coolers by our guides. The guides were all prompt, knowledgeable, and kind, and took so many pictures for us.
The pace of the trip from Singapore to Bali to Borneo to Kuala Lumpur to Penang was comfortable in a two-week span because the service was so good!
I loved our hotel in Ubud and the incredible spa overlooking the river. The elephant experience was incredible, with some of my favorite pictures. We got lucky with the weather in Borneo, which was serene and beautiful. Singapore and Penang had excellent food and both our hotels were fantastic.
If you’re planning a trip to South East Asia, go with this travel specialist and his team. They exceeded all expectations!!! Huge thank you from Kristen and Dom!!!

Zicasso's travel agent did a wonderful job of arranging seamless, complex transfers from Java to Gili Air to Ubud, Bali, and provided great guides, drivers, and advice, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot and local currency on arrival. We did have an issue with hotels not reserved until a couple of days ahead and he promptly resolved the problem.
Our agent was a very responsive and prompt communicator. We would recommend!

Overall, Zicasso’s travel agent was excellent. The agent was very receptive to our requests, planned our trip very well based on our input, and every arrangement was seamless, without any hiccups.
Singapore is quite humid and can get hot, more than Texas. With walking everywhere, it can be uncomfortable, so perhaps plan to visit in the cooler months, based on local agents’ feedback.
Vietnam was a surprise in all dimensions. It had very good infrastructure. The travel agents took fantastic care of us and the trips to Ninh Bình, which included a bamboo boat tour, and Hạ Long Bay, with a private boat tour, were noteworthy and must-dos.
Bali was a magical and mystical land, with extremely polite and hospitable people and an extraordinary guide who was calm and facilitated our tour so well. The early-morning Mount Batur hike, though moderately strenuous, was worth it, as the sunrise was spectacular, and the trip to the Jagasari area was peaceful and so insightful. I highly recommend staying longer than the four days we stayed and perhaps changing the location to the coast and north side, as traveling within the island from one spot to another takes a long time. The highlight was the kechak dance performance. It gave us goosebumps.
The arrangements were wonderful, with great accommodations and transportation.
Thanks to our travel agent.

Our 30th anniversary trip was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived at Denpasar International Airport and were met by Zicasso’s travel designer and his amazing team, we were in the hands of professionals who made our trip so enjoyable and educational.
The travel designer, with our input, arranged a journey through Bali that allowed us to experience the true heart of this country. We traveled daily with our guide, a man who truly loves Bali and its people. His wisdom flowed to us at each stop and he never tired of us asking question after question. We were met each morning with his enduring smile that never ceased to fade, no matter the length of our days.
As our trip unfolded, with the travel designer's advanced planning, we saw the real, true Bali, venturing to the countryside, away from clubs, touristy crowds, and selfie sticks. Each day filled our hearts with the Balinese people, for whom we came to love and now consider our family in Indonesia.
The travel designer made sure our accommodations at each stop were luxurious, experiencing solitude, scrumptious food, and an inviting personal plunge pool.
From experiencing the solitude of farmers working in their rice fields to nature walks, experiencing elephants up close, and hiking Mount Batur for sunrise, to strolling the countryside, meeting local people and learning their trades, to trekking through a rainforest, along with lazy days of cocktails by the pool, we loved our trip and it all came together with the efforts of the travel designer and his team. The joy we experienced was nothing compared to the joy they experienced by sharing their small part of the world with us!
