Detailed Description

This safari tour in Botswana will astonish. Touch down in the diverse and exciting city of Johannesburg before being whisked away to true paradise in the watery oasis of the Okavango Delta. Nxabega Tented Camp awaits you, tucked away in the riverine forest where rustic bush meets luxury and indulgence. Also waiting is an expert guide to show you the wonders of the wild! Whether by vehicle, on foot or by boat, head out to meet the wildlife, flora and fauna lying in wait for your camera, and experience encounters that will leave you lost for words.

After this initiation into the magic of the Delta, fly to another, equally spectacular wilderness in the vastness of the Kalahari. Here, at Grasslands Bushman Lodge, there are new sights and sounds to behold, and the chance to meet with the local Bushman community who will open your eyes to a truly fascinating world. Gain an insight into their skills and arts, and connect with the profound historical traditions of their people and culture. After an unforgettable few days in the presence of these incredible hosts, return to your home in the Okavango for more adventures seeking lion, leopard and wild dog amongst the glittering waterways and sprawling plains.

As hard as it is to leave this stunning area, further spectacles await you at Chobe Chilwero, your gateway to the Chobe National Park. Glide amongst hippo and crocodiles on a sunset cruise; for those bushed out muscles there is a gorgeous spa with endless opportunities for pampering. If your heart yearns for more, or you simply cannot say farewell to your African adventure quite yet, there are optional days to be spent at the jaw-dropping Victoria Falls. Ride an elephant through the bush; take a heart-stopping white-water raft; bungee jump or canyon swing; or simply sit back with a gin and tonic and watch the world go by from the comfort of the beautiful Elephant Camp.

South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe Vacation Review: Safari, Wildlife, Nature, 13-Day Trip

We’re still not over our trip! Everything was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for organizing such a great experience and making it so effortless for me. I already have family and friends asking who I went through, and I’m guessing some of them will be reaching out to you in the next year.

I do have one small piece of constructive feedback about our camp in the Olifants West Nature Reserve. The staff, lodge, and food were wonderful, but unfortunately, the safari guide fell short. We had just come from the camp in the Thornybush Game Reserve (where we left our hearts—the guide there was truly exceptional, with such a great personality), so the difference stood out even more. At the Olifants West Nature Reserve camp, we saw very few animals and the guide didn’t engage much—he barely spoke, and when he did, it wasn’t very professional or kind, especially toward my son. My son even said the trip might have worked better in reverse, since after Botswana it was hard to adjust to seeing only a few animals a day.

That said, I’m so grateful for how smoothly you planned everything, especially on such short notice. It really was a trip of a lifetime for us.

Thank you again!
