Chile Family Travel Review: Patagonia, Santiago, Horseback Riding, Hiking Torres del Paine National Park
This is definitely the best trip in my life. I loved every part of it.Our agent was fantastic. She was very attentive during the entire process. She gave us helpful and honest advice. She would respond to our numerous e-mails and request promptly. We had a very minor issue where the pick up shuttle from our hotel in Torres del Paines was a little late, however she took care of it right away and we were able to get to the hotel at a reasonable time. The hotel she chose for us in Patagonia was fantastic. She got us a superior room with a breathtaking view. Being able to wake up to that view of the mountains every morning was priceless. The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. Food and drinks were great. No complaints. All the excursions were wonderful and all the guides were so kind and knowledgeable. We were a bit worried about staying in Santiago de Chile, because of the protest, however the local guide was reassuring and she gave us a safe tour of the city. It was wonderful.

Travel Agent Review: Luxury Chile & Argentina Family Tour, Torres del Paine, Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Patagonia

We made with the travel company a fantastic family trip to Patagonia, Chile & Argentina, from Dec 21st to Jan 3d, the 6 of us. Torres del Paine, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Buenos Aires ... a dream turned true thanks to the travel company.

Based on the contacts offered through Zicasso, we choosed quickly the travel company thanks to the reactivity of the travel planner who took care of the trip from day 1. Her knowledge of the region, her choice of hotels, activities, her ability to coordinate the differents steps of the program in a very busy period of the year made the difference. Through emails and a few calls we determined the ideal trip fitting with our requirements :top class hotels and locations, a lot of trekkings, visits, activities organized...

Execution was perfect. Even when part of the family coming from the USA side was stopped one night in Miami for weather conditions she organized the first unexpected stop in Santiago with a tour of the town in a few hours delay ! During the whole 12 days trip, everything was perfectly coordinated : we had in hands all the key numbers of the different providers, reservations were all in place, rooms were what we ordered, pick ups were on time, description of the activities was accurate. Not one single even small problem. This is a 100/100.

And what we know as travellers is that reliability of the organization makes all the difference between dream and nightmare. So we warmly recommand the travel company as a travel agency and first class service and the travel planner for her affordability and professionalism.

So, for all the family a wonderful memory and perfect service obtained from the travel company, thanks to Zicasso. And as we are regular and very demanding travelers all around the world, this is a real  recommandation !

Review: Argentina & Chile, Patagonia, El Chalten, Valparaiso, El Calafate, Vina del Mar, Monte Fitz Roy, Fly Fishing

In January 2018, my wife, Jeff and Peggy (longtime friends) and I discovered that we were independently considering a trip to Patagonia.  We decided to travel together and combine the sites each wanted to see into a single trip.  I learned of Zicasso from a friend at work and reached out to you on line.  I was then contacted by our travel planner of this travel company. From the beginning, our travel planner was a Godsend.  First, she listened to our wish list and offered helpful and inciteful comments and recommendations.  Although I had visited Patagonia around Esquel in Argentina we had never visited Chile or father south in Argentina.   Our travel planner helped us put together a trip that gave us plenty of time to enjoy our stays in our primary destinations of Torres del Pine, El Calafate and El Chalten.  We had enough time to enjoy Santiago, Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar but were quickly on our way to Patagonia.

Our travel planner had arranged transfers between all of our locations.  Having traveled all over the world, I was amazed to find our drivers waiting at the airports for us, our tours drivers arriving on time, our transfer drivers arriving on schedule.  Everything went off flawlessly.  Our guides on board spoke very good English.  In El Calafate, Jeff and I went flyfishing for two days.  Our guide, Federico, was great and also spoke very good English.  Despite challenging conditions because of wind and rain, we each caught nice fish and even ended up being the focus of a French TV crew that was doing a tourism piece on Patagonia.  I can't tell you how they edited the filming, but we mentioned our travel planner, this tour company and Zicasso in our interviews.

Our accommodations were exceptional, especially the hotel in Patagonia.  Jeff and Peggy have traveled the world as have we and never enjoyed our stays at any hotel as much as we did at this hotel.  Our travel planner had told us this would be a highlight of our trip and it certainly was.  The food and service was First Class in all respects.  Our guide at this hotel, Stephanie, became our favorite from the first hike and we requested her everyday thereafter.  In Buenos Aires, we stayed at a hotel which was a wonderful location in Palermo.

The bottom line is this was truly the tip of a lifetime.  While Zicasso and this travel company certainly have earned our respect and gratitude, it was our travel planner that made it all possible and made it all work.  She is a dedicated and passionate representative of your companies, Patagonia and Buenos Aires.  I plan to work with her on future trips and have already recommended going through your companies and requesting our travel planner for thier trips to South America.

Chile Tour Review: Patagonia, Atacama Desert, Hiking, Kayaking, Star Gazing, 10-Night Trip

We enjoyed our trip, though I would have planned it differently. It was a very active trip, as we had requested. Traveling through Chile is tricky because it is long and the flights all go through Santiago. The travel days seemed really long with all the driving to get to locations. I may have planned the itinerary for some downtime, whether at a hotel with a nice pool or by a beach. Overall though, the trip was nice. Chile was nice.

Chile Vacation Review: Torres del Paine, Grey Glacier Navigation, One-Week Travel
I do have some important feedback as I was totally disappointed with my stay at the hotel in Torres del Paine.First we land at 12:30 pm at the Puerto Natales airport and our cab pick up for some reason is at 14:30 pm. While this was in the document, I would have expected someone to highlight to me that I was supposed to be spending 2 hours at an isolated airport alone with not even a small store open to buy water or coffee. When the transport did arrive it was just for us to be picked up, so I am totally confused as to why I could not arrive as per my landing time. When we arrived the roof of the hotel was blown off by the wind and everything was chaotic. We couldn't even check-in for 3 hours after our arrival. We understood that for an extreme event of nature and let that go. All of our pre-booked excursions were totally messed up. I had to wake up every day at 6 am and go to the lobby and wait for someone to tell me whether the excursion was happening and at what time we needed to be ready. Nothing was pre-planned or communicated properly by the hotel, we were totally left guessing. The horseback riding to Base Torres never happened as it kept getting cancelled on all 4 days of our stay. For the Navigation to Grey Glacier, we were not sure till the last moment whether we would get on the boat because there was some miscommunication between our hotel & another hotel. Finally we got on the boat, but I was charged ~USD 200 for it at the time of check out. The hotel told me it was not included, while I was told by you that everything was included. Finally I paid the USD 200 as I had to leave for the airport and had no time to argue. Many similar experiences- where our laundry got mixed up and then our lunch ox was missed for one of the excursions etc. For the price that has been charged, I would expect a smooth and stress free experience but the whole 4 days was totally stressful and a total disaster in planning & communication. It left my wife & me totally disappointed with the overall experience.

Chile Trip Review: Santiago, Winery Experience, 1-Week Tour

We had an excellent trip to Chile. All the transfers and guides were on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. The trip was exactly as described, with no bad surprises! The accommodations were clean and well-located. The Zicasso company representatives stayed in touch with us before and during the trip, but we didn't need any assistance. We would book with them again.
