Beijing - Toboggan Down the Great Wall

The magical and exotic culture of China is waiting for you and your family on this adventurous, 7-day journey. Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital Airport, your private transfer will provide you with some of the most spectacular views of Beijing on a rickshaw. This is an excellent way to explore the hutong areas of the capital, which is a maze of alleyways. You will be provided with an up-close and personal look at the families who have lived in these areas for centuries in addition to street vendors who call out their wares and wafts of delicious Beijing food.

When your eyes are full from the busy streets, your guide will transfer you to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. The longest wall in the world and a proud UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Great Wall was first built over 2,300 years ago. This section of the wall is unique because it has a cable car that can carry you to the top, where you can indulge in a toboggan slide down the wall. This is a fun experience that all ages will enjoy.

When your bellies are aching for delicious Beijing fare, the only dish that can help satiate your craving is the most famous dish of China: Peking duck. When you bite into its tender meat that is wrapped in thin rice paper and peppered with a sweet sauce and green onions, you taste buds will experience the pinnacle of taste as the dish was formerly eaten exclusively by imperial families and high-ranking officials.

Travel Review: Luxury Trip to China, Chengdu, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Hainain, Great Wall, Wildlife

My brother and I had a wonderful trip to China!   We wanted an authentic experience while also hitting the big highlights in Beijing, Chengdu, Hainain and Shanghai.  Our tour guides were all very knowledgable and friendly and transportation between cities was seamless.   Hotels were all 5-star and food was awesome :)

Travel Review: Tour of China, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Xi'an, Guilin, Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors

This travel agent planned our 3 week trip to explore China for our party of four.  We started in Beijing and walked on the Great Wall, learned much about Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, went to Xian for the Terracotta Warriors, to Chengdu for the Pandas, Hangzhou and Tunxi, then a hike up the Huangshan Mountain; Shanghai and the Shanghai Tower, Guilin for the amazing countryside and rice terraces, Shenzhen to visit our nephew and Hong Kong as the finale.  Transportation, guides, accommodations were wonderful and effortless for us.   In a land of millions of people and many tourists, the guides slid through the crowds and found places to explore that were not as crowded as others.

Our travel company helped us coordinate visas, travel insurance, and provided tipping and shopping guidance.  Any small concern (and they were minimal) were met with a smile and addressed.  They even sent a replacement van up Longji Mountain.

I would highly recommend the travel company for your China tour.

Travel Review: Solo Tour of China, Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Great Wall, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Terracotta Museum

My travel agency organized a custom 8 day tour of places I wanted to visit in Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai. The tour guides and drivers put me completely at ease, I did not feel like a solo male traveling in a foreign country. My time during the day was utilized efficiently. The guides were knowledgeable about the historical background of places visited. My guide in Beijing lent me 200 Yuan which I paid back after exchanging US dollars at a bank. The guide in Shanghai went above and beyond by waiting for a show to end so that he could escort me back to the hotel using the subway. In each city the guides recommended local ethnic food I would not have discovered on my own, that I enjoyed. In each city the guides made every effort to obtain the best possible seats at shows and ushered me to the seat. In Beijing, my guide boarded the super high speed train to show me to myour seat. My tour coordinator, was available to me via wechat messaging at all times. She was responsive and helpful. The guide in Xi'an did not arrange a visit to Shanxi museum as per my itinerary. After confirming the facts, she apologized profusely and arranged a partial refund through the guide in Shanghai. Overall the 3 star hotels were comfortable with good services including breakfast. For my purpose, the hotel in Shanghai was not within walking distance to downtown. I did not wish to navigate the subway at the the end of the day. Overall I am extremely happy with this company and will definitely call upon them to arrange future trips to other places in China.

Luxury China Travel Review: Bejing, Shanghai, Chengdu Panda Reserve, Mitianyu Great Wall, Zhangjiajie,Terracotta Warriors, Xi'an

We were taken to wonderful sights; the value for money was good but not great (we had requested Deluxe everything - more on that later); local guides were unfailingly prompt, punctual and polite; English proficiency of guides was generally good although heavy accents made understanding a chore; private transportation was clean and efficient; the food was generally vile except for the breakfasts in the hotel which tended toward Westernized fare and sustained us for the day. The USA staff of this China tour company were pleasant and helpful.

Travel Review: Luxury Trip to China, Beijing, Xi'an, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Great Wall, Terra Cotta Warriors

Very well planned trip and we liked the guides in each city.  Our guide in Beijing was our favorite and we really enjoyed the guide in Xi'an too.   There was always someone waiting for us at each destination and the transportation/drivers also did a good job.  We got to see everything we had hoped to - the Great Wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors, the high speed train, rickshaw ride, Forbidden City, CIty Wall in Xi'an, the skyline in Shanghai, Peking duck meal in Beijing (we actually had 2), the floating restaurant in Hong Kong, the harbor in Hong Kong and more.  We also got to experience pandas in Hong Kong at the amusement park on our free day, the Chinese calligraphy class, dancing with people in the French Park in Shanghai, and the meeting with the Cricket Master in Beijing was an unexpected trip highlight.

The head of the tour company also gave us a very nice personalized gift of a stamp in Chinese of each of our names - the same stamps artists and collectors put on the art in China.  We also had our guide help us buy a full sized Terra Cotta Warrior for our garden that is going to be shipped in September.

The guides gave us great information on the life of Chinese citizens as well.  The hotels were great  in that they were very upscale and well located for our day to day adventures.   I loved having a free day in each city as well - made the pacing of the trip better than in the past where we never had a down day that allowed us to sleep in a little and experience the city on our own terms.

I was very very happy with the service overall.

China Luxury Vacation Review: Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin, Yangshuo, Shanghai, 15-Day Trip

We were extremely pleased with Zicasso’s travel company and their help in planning and executing 15 days across China. We covered Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin/Yangshuo, a Yangtze River cruise, and Shanghai.

The guides were excellent in each location and the logistics all went smoothly. Almost all the hotels were really top of the line and we enjoyed them. We would definitely use our travel agents again for another Asia trip.
