City of 1,000 Spires

The city of Prague has a storybook atmosphere cast in its riverside location, looming castle, and countless spires decorating the skyline. The mixture of Baroque, Renaissance, and Gothic architecture offer insight into the eclectic ascetics of the city’s history. Your private transfer meets you at Václav Havel Airport and quickly escorts you to your luxurious hotel situated near the Vltava River. Consider learning more about your European tour operator who strives to make this the most memorable trip of your life. Prague has an energetic atmosphere winding around the streets of Old Town. You can hear the river brush against the banks and stone bridges connecting Old Town to the regal district beneath the castle. The Clementinum National and National Library is one of the largest historical complexes in Europe.

The library contains more than six million books. The Astronomical Tower stands 223 feet tall, providing a tremendous view of the city’s Old Town, and collected spires that perforate the sky. Frescoes decorate the ceiling of Library Hall, which date back to the 18th century. The motifs provide allegories for education and numerous Jesuit saints. The aroma of leather-bound books and rich wooden shelves fills the room. Globes of various sizes embellish the center of the library. The beauty of the exterior architecture and grandeur of the interior design embodies the story of the city, rich with adornments, captivating in its antiquity, and bright with modern charms.

Luxury Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, & Slovakia Tour Review: Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Castle Karlstejn, Brno, Opera...
This Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia tour company was fabulous. They really listened to where I wanted to stay (in very good boutique hotels in Old Town near major attractions and restaurants), and arranged good cars and drivers between cities so we could add another town or city enroute from Prague to Budapest and Budapest to Vienna and back to Prague.

Luxury European Travel Review: Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Prague, Budapest

Overall impression:

As this was our first ever experience with a non Malaysian tour agent and our first trip to Eastern Europe , we were anxious but was very pleasantly surprised by the well organised itinerary and accommodation. Thank you to this European travel agency.

A) Package price: good value

B)Accommodation: overall, the hotels were above average with good locations. The rooms in the Hotel Metropole,Warsaw, were a little old but the bathroom was very clean and modern. The staff at the Moods hotel, Prague  , were exceptionally informative and helpful which was  good for first time visitors to the city.

The Hotel Palazzo Zichy , Budapest, was our favourite of the 4 hotels. Rooms were small but clean , Location was central and best of all, we were served sparkling wine for breakfast

C) Excursions: Guides were very punctual and friendly especially in Prague and in Budapest. The latter gave us a very good tip on a restaurant serving the best meat from Hungary.

D) Transfers: Drivers were all very punctual , polite and accommodating

D) Transport: Unfortunately that was the least satisfactory part of the tour.

1)  we should have been presented with alternative choices of transport if the train journeys were longer than 3-4 hours. ....air or private transport, even if it cost more.

 2) Prague-Budapest train : 7-8 hours journey with no buffet car and only one mobile cart selling drinks and snacks at the beginning of the train journey !

3)  No tip on size of luggage when travelling by train in Europe. The luggage rack ( there are usually no special luggage storage areas) above the seat is only suitable for 20" carry on suitcases.

Luxury European Vacation Review: Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Budapest, Prague, Alps Tour, Wine Tasting

Excellent tour given the very short time line I had. They put the tour together in less than two weeks. My tour guides in Prague and Budapest were superb. Our agent did a great job keeping our tour organized. I'd highly recommend this travel company.

Hungary, Austria & Czech Republic Trip Review, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Music Concerts
This was less than I expected for the price based on previous trips we have taken with other travel companies. The tours were superficial and did not include entry into many locations we would like to have seen. Also, the logistics were not so great. One guide was 45 minutes late and we were left to find our way back to the hotel in some cases. We had expected more assistance with transportation. The guides on the first day in Budapest and Prague were good. The guides in Vienna and the mornings of the second day of Budapest and Prague were average at best.

Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary & Slovakia Trip Review: Prague History, Vienna, Biking Wachau Valley, Budapest River Cruise
This travel company was great to work with and the trip planner was very helpful, making suggestions and fitting the activities to the kind of trip we wanted—some structure without being scheduled every minute.  The tour guides in Prague, Austria & Vienna, and Budapest were excellent, with a great command of information and history.  It was particularly interesting to hear about their experiences before and after the Iron curtain.  Our guide in Prague was amazing; we played “stump [guide's name]” and couldn’t do it!  One suggestion I’d make in Budapest—-it’s really too big to do a walking tour and see much in half a day.  It would be better to use a driver for this half day tour to save time. We wound up only seeing Buda due to walking. The hotels were all very nice with great breakfast buffets—appealing to many cultures, especially the hotel in Vienna. All the drivers were prompt and friendly.  I can’t say enough about how pleased we were to have a private tour guide where you get more out of the tour, you can skip the lines and you’re not part of a herd of 50 people.  Having a guide and drivers takes the stress out of traveling! We loved it and are already planning the next trip!Anna K
