Travel Review: Tour of Croatia & Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Split, Trogir, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Lokrum

The Plitvice Lakes National Park was spectacular.  We enjoyed the tour of Split/Trogir.  The wine tasting tour and dinner on Hvar were also highlights.  The cable car ride and the walk around the top of the walls provided a different perspective of the Old Town in Dubrovnik and were well worth it.  Our tour to Montenegro was very interesting and a day well spent.

Luxury European Vacation Review: Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Split, Rovinj, Hvar, Mostar, Lake Bled

Our travel agent and travel company prepared and executed an outstanding 15 night trip in Croatia and Slovenia.  Our trip took us to Dubrovnik (3 nights), Hvar (3 nights), Split (day visit), Mostar (Bosnia), Montenegro (day visit), Trogir, (1 night), Plitvice Lakes (1 nights), Rovinj (3 nights), Ljubljana (2 nights), Lake Bled (day trip) and Zagreb (1 night).  We covered a lot of villages, but the time in each location was perfect!  We never felt rushed or bored with each location.  We stayed in small 3 and 4 star hotel/villas for the most part. However, Ljubljana and Zagreb were larger hotels.  Vehicles/drivers were always on time and all of them added their local knowledge to each of the locations.  Tours were 1 to 2 hours each and the guides were all great.  With private drivers and tours, we had the ultimate flexibility – if we decided to cut an event short, we just called the driver to come pick us up.  If we wanted to skip a castle and do a wine tour all we had to do was ask.  If we were interested in one area, the tour guides would tailor their tours to meet our interests.

Our US based agent was located in Chicago, which made it easy to coordinate flight details.  Our agent did a great job coordinating travelers from two US locations (Boston and Chicago) and getting us meet up in London, for our connecting flight to Zagreb.  Our local agent was located in Zagreb and was always available for our questions and minor change requests to our itinerary. Even though the office was closed on weekends, she was always checking her emails and we would usually get responses to requests within an hour or so.  I think I called her 6 times during our trip and she always treated me like an old friend.  She really took the time to understand all our interests, needs and concerns and prepared a fantastic trip for 7 people (one handicapped).  We brought our own wheelchair, which was a Roughrider brand.  It did well in all the towns and the cobblestones were not a big problem, but we did have to deal with some stairs in every location.   Relative to this travel agency – go with them, you won't regret it.

Croatia Tour Review: Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, Plitvice Lakes, Krka, Culture, History, Beaches, Local Cuisine and Wine, 10 Nights
Zicasso’s tour planner and her team set up a perfect trip for us, with wonderful hotel accommodations and excursions. We had a good combination of beach and island excursions mixed in with tours of the old cities of Dubrovnik, Hvar, and Split, where we learned a lot about the culture and history of these amazing Croatian cities. She set up our itinerary to our preferences and contacted me to make sure I understood what was needed and to confirm I booked the proper connections between cities. I would definitely use their services again if I were to return to Croatia.

Travel Review: European Tour, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Italy, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Ljubljana, Trieste, Lake Bled

We traveled to Croatia and Slovenia  from August 18-31, 2016. We could not be happier with our trip which was custom planned by our agent from. Our agent provided wonderful information about each of our locations and communicated effectively with all of our many questions. Each of our hotels in Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, Lake Bled, Ljubljana, and Trieste were absolutely wonderful and located close to the city centers. Our agent arranged for all of our transports and tours. Our transport drivers all came on time and had perfect English and were professional and courteous. Each of our tour guides were well trained,  enthusiastic, and gave us a thorough understanding of each of our locations. Throughout our trip the six of us just kept saying,  "Thank You." We highly recommend this agent and her company for a trip to Croatia and Slovenia. After about 8 months of emails we felt we made a new friend.

Travel Review: Honeymoon in Italy, Croatia & Slovenia, Omis, Dubrovnik, Hvar, Florence, Venice, Tuscany, Plitvice Lakes

My husband and I went on our 2 week honeymoon in Venice, Rovinj, Plitvice, Split, Hvar, and Dubrovnik. It was the trip of a lifetime! This travel agent was amazing! She picked awesome hotels in PERFECT locations and we loved the excursions she selected. She took the time to walk through the vouchers with me and explained when to boat, taxi, walk, or bus based on convenience and pricing. She shared local knowledge regarding tipping and ensured we had contact information for all of our guides and drivers. She also gave us restaurant recommendations. The tour guides were exceptional, especially our guide in Hvar. He was so passionate about the island and its roots. Our favorite location was Hvar. Our agent set us up in a hotel there which was our favorite stay and we went on an epic tour of the island, wine tasting and ended the evening with a private dinner in an abandoned village. We would have never come up with that on our own. She was very responsive when we had questions. I would highly recommend using this agency.
