Corfu for Couples: Romantic Greek Island Vacation

We booked a 2 week vacation to Greece with this agent and travel company for the end of May.   Our travel agent helped us plan the perfect vacation for our 25th wedding anniversary. It was the most incredible trip, more than we could ever have imagined! She planned accommodations, excursions and tours at each place we visited that highlighted each place.  We started our trip in Athens for 3 nights, Crete 3 nights, Mykonos 3 nights and Santorini for 4 nights.

We were met promptly at the Athens airport by our driver taken to our Hotel in Athens where we were met by our agent personally to give us all of our tickets and instructions for our stay in Greece. As well she gave us a cell phone programmed with her number and the travel agency in case we had any issues during our time in Greece.

We stayed at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens at a wonderful boutique hotel. Our trip started with a private tour(highly recommend)  of the Archeological museum of Athens ,the Acropolis and the area surrounding. Truly specials and unforgettable! A romantic dinner at a beautiful restaurant in the center of Athens.  Watching the sun set on the Acropolis with all of Athens at our feet...stunning. A free day to explore a bit of the ancient and beautiful city then onto Crete.

We were met by a delightful young man, who was our guide for all 3 days on this amazing island. Wine tours, Palace of King Mynos at Knossos, ancient cities Rhethmynon and Chania, beautiful beaches and stunning views. We fell in love with Crete.

Then Mykonos. A beautiful little jewel of an island with beautiful beaches and ancient cities once attacked by pirates. A romantic dinner, tour of the island of Delos (incredible!) and getting lost in the maze of streets that make up Mykonos town.

Then onto Santorini. A jewel in the beauty of the Aegean Sea. Stunning hotel on the cliffs with a view that you never tired of, wine tours, a full day Catamaran sail to beaches and the Caldera ending with a magnificent sunset at Land's End. Santorini was the cherry on top of the trip. Truly a stunning island.

And everywhere we went the friendly, hospitable and welcoming Greek people.  We can't say enough on how well orchestrated this trip was. We had flawless connections, over-the-top accommodations, incredible guides, amazing excursions that did not disappoint at any of our island visits.  "More than we could have ever imagined" is how we describe this trip to friends and family.  We highly recommend this company and the travel agent who planned a trip exactly to fit us personally.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the most unforgettable vacation with my family, all thanks to the exceptional planning and coordination by Zicasso’s travel agent. Our trip to Greece, covering the beautiful islands of Mykonos, Paros, Santorini, and the vibrant city of Athens, was nothing short of magical.

Mykonos: The Perfect Start. Our journey began in Mykonos, where we were greeted with stunning beaches, charming alleys, and vibrant nightlife. Our agent's recommendations for a semi-private all-day catamaran cruise made our stay in Paros even more special.

Our agent ensured we had the best views, with our accommodation perched on the caldera’s edge. The private wine tour and morning cruise they arranged were highlights of our trip, offering unique experiences that we will cherish forever.

Athens: A Historical Finale. Our trip concluded in Athens, where we immersed ourselves in the rich history and culture of Greece. From the awe-inspiring Acropolis to the bustling streets of Plaka, every moment was captivating. Our agent’s detailed itinerary allowed us to maximize our time, ensuring we didn't miss any of the key attractions. The guided tours provided deep insights and made our experience even more enriching.

My husband and I found this travel agency on Zicasso and initially had reservations about using a travel agency that we hadn’t heard of that was based outside the U.S. (i.e. time zone, language barrier concerns, etc.).   We were planning our honeymoon to Greece and didn’t want to encounter any mishaps during our trip. However, this company far and away exceeded all of our expectations.

Soon after we submitted our online query, we received an immediate response from our agent.  He was professional, polite and incredibly knowledgeable about all of the Greek Islands.  He provided extensive background on each of the islands we were considering and helped us weigh our options, ultimately creating the perfect honeymoon package for what we were looking for.  We visited the islands we wanted, stayed at 5-star hotels and booked memorable tours/activities…all while staying within our budget.  In the months leading up to our big trip, our agent was accessible via email and phone, responsive and very informative.  He helped book our domestic flights within Greece and made all of our ferry arrangements (even booking us in business class, which was a great surprise!).  Before we departed the U.S., he sent us a welcome packet and all of the vouchers we needed for the entire trip.

The trip itself was, in a word, unforgettable!  We absolutely loved all 3 of the destinations we visited, as well as every one of the hotels.  Each hotel had honeymoon treats waiting for us upon our arrival – fruit baskets, bottles of wine, flowers… it was very romantic.  We cannot say enough about the hotels our agent recommended – we never wanted to leave! 

The activities that he planned for us – a sunset cruise in Santorini, tour of the ruins at Akrotiri, a winery tour and walking tour of Athens – were each special experiences that we would highly recommend to any travelers.  The sunset cruise was on a beautiful, 16-person catamaran with very friendly staff that all spoke English.  They cooked a delicious Greek dinner for us and took us to some great spots around the island…before concluding the tour off the coast of Oia with a gorgeous sunset. 

We also greatly enjoyed exploring the ancient ruins in Santorini, and our guide who led the wine tour was not only professional and friendly, but he was incredibly knowledgeable about the local grape vineyards, the wine making process and the different varieties of wines we sampled.  We cannot express how impressive our Athens tour guide was.  He had so much passion for history and absolutely loved sharing with tourists his knowledge about his country/city.  He was friendly, professional and very thoughtful – following our walking tour, he took us to an art gallery where he serenaded us with piano music as a honeymoon gift to us!

The logistics throughout our trip were quite impressive.  A guide was waiting for us upon arrival at each of our destinations – they had been tracking our flight/ferry arrival times and had clean, luxurious transports to each of our hotels.  Everyone spoke fluent English and had excellent recommendations about the local area (restaurants, sites, getting around, etc.).   

Our agent helped to arrange a stop at the currency exchange for us before we departed for a remote island (without a bank/ATM)… and was able to secure an extra night’s stay at our hotel when we considered extending our trip for another day.   He even called (our driver) to speak with us upon our Sunday evening arrival in Athens to welcome us and check-in to see how our trip was going.   

In the end, we were thrilled that we had decided to book our honeymoon with an agency based in Greece that was able to coordinate all of our on-the-ground logistics and last-minute changes.  I cannot recommend this company (and especially this agent) enough… I only wish they could help us plan our next trip to Europe!
