Your journey through Greece begins with your arrival in Athens. The Acropolis stares out over the city with an eye looking over the sprawling homes that were once empty hills. Tour through the marble temples and vast pillars before departing for Rhodes. Although the Colossus of Rhodes no longer stands as a guarded symbol of the island’s prosperity the Old City endured centuries of occupation that have shaped the island into its modern form. Stand at the top of the Acropolis of Lindos where over three millennia of temples have decorated the hilltop.
Your adventure continues as you set down in Heraklion, Crete, the largest island within the Greek Isles. Step into the mixture of modern life steeped within the Venetian pathways of the cityscapes, whether the larger capital of Heraklion or the charming Venetian port town of Chania. You can also visit the home of the Minotaur at Knossos Palace, leaving the yarn along your path to help find your way out. When you cruise closer to Santorini you can see the shimmering whitewalls of the classical homes. The island sits at the edge of a caldera where the warm blue waters of the sea crash against the cliffs. Our agent arranged an 8 day tour in Greece for our family of 6 that included a custom itinerary in Athens, Crete and Santorini. It included some family members joining us one day late and others leaving one day early. This was the best family vacation we've had, and we've had some pretty special ones. What made it special was Our agent's attention to detail about our family's preferences, and arranged dinner locations that were reasonably priced but spectacular in location and ambience as well as food quality. She found hotels that fit the configuration of our family in amazing locales and with stunning views, including an amazing upgrade at the Ambassador hotel in Santorini. The transports, numbering above 18 all together including 3 airports, dinner, and sightseeing, went off without a hitch. She even provided us with a greek burner phone to keep in contact with her and to make local calls. Her custom trips are not budget trips, but for the money they are totally worth it so you can focus on enjoying your family. For her efforts and incredible attention to detail our agent was voted Greece Trip Most Valuable Player by our family.

My husband and I recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to Greece, exploring the breathtaking islands of Crete, Santorini, and Naxos, and the vibrant city of Athens. Our trip was meticulously planned and executed by Zicasso’s exceptional team, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. From the moment we set foot in Greece until the day we reluctantly departed, they were with us every step of the way, turning our vacation into the memory of a lifetime.
Chania, Crete: Our adventure began in Chania, Crete, where we stayed at a luxurious hotel and spa. This boutique hotel, situated right on the waterfront, offered stunning views and impeccable service. The highlight of our stay in Crete was a delightful cooking class, where we learned to prepare traditional Cretan dishes with fresh, local ingredients. The warmth and hospitality of the staff at the hotel made us feel right at home.
Santorini: Next, we traveled to the iconic island of Santorini. Our hotel was nestled on the cliffs overlooking the caldera and provided an idyllic setting for our vacation. One of the most memorable experiences was the catamaran sunset cruise, on which we sailed around the island, marveling at the stunning volcanic landscape and enjoying a delicious onboard dinner as the sun set over the Aegean Sea. The hotel staff ensured every moment was magical. The hotel concierge kept in touch with us via WhatsApp. She was amazing!!!!
Naxos: Our journey continued to the charming island of Naxos. The hotel’s blend of traditional architecture and modern amenities provided a comfortable and stylish retreat. Our travel agency organized a fantastic Naxos town food tour, allowing us to savor the island’s culinary delights and learn about its rich history. We also embarked on a private village tour, exploring the quaint villages and experiencing the authentic Naxian way of life. The hospitality at the hotel was exceptional, making our stay truly memorable.
Athens: Our final destination was the bustling city of Athens. Located in the heart of the city, our luxurious hotel offered stunning views of the Acropolis and easy access to Athens’ historical sites. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Outstanding Service: The personal touches provided by Zicasso’s travel agency truly set them apart. During the planning phase, I had the pleasure of speaking with the founder and lead travel designer. He took the time to understand our expectations and preferences, recommending Naxos instead of Mykonos based on our interest in food tours, culture, and history. Trusting his advice was one of the best decisions we made, as Naxos turned out to be one of our favorite islands.
His company’s commitment to our satisfaction was evident from the moment we landed in Athens, where we were greeted by an agent, with a lovely gift, who walked us to our gate for the flight to Chania. Throughout our trip, we communicated via WhatsApp, receiving daily messages with our boarding passes and itinerary. Their professionalism shone through when unexpected situations arose, such as a five-hour ferry delay in Crete. They reassured us continuously, adjusting our schedule as needed without any hassle.
When my luggage was lost on the flight from Naxos to Athens, the company promptly contacted the airline and ensured my luggage was delivered to our hotel in Athens. Their proactive and attentive service made all the difference.
Each hotel provided us with sumptuous breakfasts, a feast for the eyes and the palate, prepared by amazing chefs. The food throughout our trip was memorable and the hospitality at every location was outstanding.
Every trip I take from now on will be compared to this bucket-list vacation that Zicasso’s company planned for us. I would not hesitate to use them the next time I visit Greece, knowing it will be another dream trip.
Final Thoughts: The travel agency turned our Greek vacation into a seamless, extraordinary experience. Their attention to detail, personalized service, and commitment to excellence made our trip a true dream. If you’re planning a trip to Greece, I highly recommend them – they create memories that last a lifetime.

Our trip to Greece was fabulous. We visited Ephesus in Turkey, then traveled to Rhodes, Crete, Santorini and Naxos. It was a lovely trip, a mix of resorts and boutique hotels, of beaches, exploring old towns and old ruins, visiting museums and harbors, and sailing and cooking. We worked with Panos who is based in Athens with the travel agency to plan and schedule the trip. I'm happy to say that Panos was one of the very best travel agents I have ever worked with. He listened carefully to what my husband and I wanted to do, how we liked to travel, where we wanted to go, how much we wanted to spend, and what kind of accommodations we liked. He made suggestions and a tentative plan. All of his suggestions were terrific. We liked all of the hotels he recommended and were very impressed by the local guides he hired for us. It was especially terrific to see the sites and explore the ruins with knowledgeable guides who were so personable, entertaining and thoughtful. This is one of the benefits of working with someone who knows who to recommend. One thing I liked especially about working with Panos was his thoughtful attention to our comfort and safety. He made arrangements with local travel agents at each of the islands we visited to pick us up at our hotels for our various excursions and to make sure we got safely and comfortably back afterwards. He also made arrangements with a local travel agency to be "on call" for us if we needed assistance. We never needed additional help (no doubt because he planned things so well), but knowing we had someone nearby who we could call if we needed to was very reassuring. Panos also kept in contact with us through What's Ap, so that we could get his help if needed.I also appreciated Panos' extra efforts on our behalf. For example, he personally checked us in for our ferry rides from one island to the next and sent the necessary documents to me through What's Ap. All I had to do was show the check-in person the necessary document on my phone. He also sent me a list of recommended restaurants for our stays on each of the islands. Extra attention like this makes travel so much easier.
