Greece Luxury Vacation Review: Crete, Hydra, Athens, Delphi, Kalabaka, 12-Day Trip

Our 12-day trip to Greece was one of the top trips we have taken over the years. We visited five locations, from Crete to Hydra to Athens, Delphi, and Kalabaka, and each met our hopes. From meeting local Greeks in rural areas and learning about their traditions to visiting UNESCO sites and learning the history of Greece, the tours met our expectations.

From the beginning, our tour planner was patient and listened to our ideas closely. She was quick to respond and always willing to make changes as the trip plan evolved. Any time we needed information or clarification, she was there to help.

Travel Review: Greece Trip, Athens, Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Crete, Knossos, Pottery Work Shop, Winery, 14-Day Tour

Our travel consultants met us at the hotel when we first arrived in Athens and provided a brief orientation to the neighborhood near the hotel. We then stopped at a café where the two of them answered questions I believe it put everyone at ease and set us up for a great vacation.

We enjoyed all the hotels selected, although the hotel on Paros stands out as the best in our opinion.

We also really enjoyed the personal tours on Naxos, Santorini, and Crete. They were all outstanding. I felt the tour of Naxos provided and excellent look at the Greek countryside in addition to the sites visited. I enjoyed several of the small things, like the stop for coffee, and just sitting with the family at the Pottery Work Shop.

We all enjoyed the tour on Santorini. It provided another chance to see the Greek countryside in addition to the winery and our outstanding adventure at the restaurant.

We all enjoyed the all-day tour our guide provided. Her personal knowledge of the Minoan palace of Knossos and the related articles in the museum tied everything together very well. I also appreciated her ability to provide enough information without overloading us with too much detail. She selected an excellent restaurant for lunch and enjoyed the time to just sit and chat. After lunch, I was not looking forward to the Greek Music Lab but found the presentation very interesting and the hands-on time just a lot of fun.

Our travel consultant promptly responded to our many questions and issues along the way. The help was appreciated.

Greece Luxury Travel Review: Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Acropolis Tour, Sunset Cruise, Local Cuisine, 10-Day Trip
Nadia was our travel specialist from the travel agency who arranged an amazing 10 day trip to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini.  From the very first email and phone call, Nadia was attentive and listened to my thoughts and what I wanted to accomplish with the trip and then offered some suggestions on what worked well in the past for similar trips and durations.  She was creative and worked diligently to maximize the time that we had available.  Nadia provided several options for us to review and consider including sight seeing options, hotel types (including different cost / location options) and provided feedback that helped us to make our selections.  Nadia was very collaborative and offered alternatives with rationales (e.g., flying versus taking a ferry between islands) or what hotel location would best meet our needs (e.g., near the city center or near the beach).  We received  frequent updates on the itinerary and at all times knew what the schedule was and where we were in the planning phase.  Nadia answered every single question with an in-depth response that was professional and provided feedback on a wide range of topics including what to expect in each location, what was happening locally with regard to the wild fires, what to pack generally, what to wear on the sunset cruise or for dinner or for the Acropolis tour; you name it...Nadia answered it.  Amazingly every single email, text or WhatsApp was responded to immediately.  It seemed as though Nadia was right there with us throughout every part of our trip...which was comforting and much appreciated.  Nadia also provided exceptional restaurant recommendations for each location and made reservations in several places for us.  Overall, Nadia made this the easiest trip for us from a planning perspective.  She went above and beyond and her dedication and professionalism was refreshing.  At the end of the trip I felt as though she was a part of my family :).  I will recommend Nadia to everyone interested in traveling to Greece.

Greece Travel Review: Athens, Mykonos, Naxos, Santorini, Food, Sights
George, owner of our travel company was awesome. He perfectly planned our trip according to our travel wishes and style. We spent two weeks in Greece traveling to Athens, Mykonos, Naxos and Santorini. Stayed at lovely boutique hotels and enjoyed just the right amount of planned activities and free time to explore on our own. Most impressive was George’s attention to detail and support during the trip as needed. He provided daily updates with activity and restaurant suggestions and was always available via WhatsApp to resolve any minor issues. All transfers and arrangements were seamless. I highly recommend using George to plan your perfect vacation to Greece.

Greece Trip Review: 9-Night Tour of Athens, Santorini, Mykonos

Our trip to Greece was AMAZING! I was truly impressed with George Melissis and how the trip was planned with our interests in mind. Once I told him what we like to do on vacation, he tailored it to fit us with our budget in mind.

Honestly, I was a bit hesitant booking online with all the crazy scams you read about, but he called me from Greece (a couple of times) and we were in constant communication for several months planning the trip and getting everything right. He sent me hotels, excursions, and more. In addition, our travel specialist checked in to see if I needed anything and wanted to know if I was being taken care of.

Once we arrived in Athens, we were greeted immediately as we walked out of the airport and taken to our hotel, where we were greeted by one of his assistants who gave us all the boarding passes for the boats and flights as well as details of our 10-day trip.

The tours in Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini were perfect!  The hotels in Athens and Mykonos were fantastic with great customer service.  We weren't as happy with our Santorini hotel, but the view from our private pool made up for it.  Also, when we told George the hotel was not at the same standard as the other 2, he made sure we were well taken care of to make for it.

We were in constant communication with George on "WhatsApp" throughout our vacation for restaurant suggestions, best beaches, etc.  He always came though:)

I will definitely contact our travel specialist again for future trips. Very very pleased with our trip!

Greece Honeymoon Vacation Review: Athens & Santorini, Cooking Class, Scenery
Our honeymoon to Athens and Santorini was wonderful. In Athens, our hotel was centrally located and the room was huge. Santorini is just as beautiful as everyone says. The tour and cooking class was great. The only hiccup we had was with Aegean Airlines damaging our luggage and receiving the wrong room in Santorini. Our travel agent treated us to fancy restaurant to make up for the room. It was a trip of a lifetime. I highly recommend.
