Travel Review: Luxury Greece Tour, Athens, Nafplion, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Delphi, Meteora, Mykonos, Santorini, Hiking, 2-Week Trip
My husband and I visited Greece for the first time in late September.  We spent a couple of days in Athens, then drove to Nafplion, touring Mycenae and Epidaurus on the way. Renting a car allowed us quite a bit of flexibility and the roads were in great shape with little traffic once we got out of Athens. We drove on to Delphi and Meteora then flew out of Athens to Mykonos. Our vacation ended in Santorini and we flew back with beautiful memories of Greece and her friendly, warm hearted people. The travel company did an awesome job organizing our trip and our trip planner was available throughout, just a phone call away.  The hotels were picked with care and the rooms were just what we hoped for. The transfers to and from each hotel and port made travel worry-free.  The tours were very worthwhile and the guides were well chosen— the ones at the historic sites were mostly archaeologists or historians— and were well spoken, knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging. We are so glad that our trip planner contacted us right away and had so many great suggestions and ideas for our itinerary. He truly made the whole experience everything we hoped for!

Luxury Greece Tour Review: Delphi, Naxos Island Cooking Class & Hiking Tour, Meteora, Athens Food Tour, History
Mirella was fantastic! Our trip went completely smoothly from every pick up being on time to the amazing guides she hired in each of the places we visited. The guides were knowledgeable and fun to be with. The adventures were filled with empty trails and fantastic Views as well as the beautiful countryside of Greece.. We did everything from a cooking class in Naxos, a hiking tour around the island, with a knowledgeable guide who pointed out many things about the history of the area, the churches, pathways through the villages. Meteora And Delphi with their amazing history and monasteries again not to be missed. Each of the guides were local and had a unique view of the sites they were sharing with us. We highly recommend using the travel company. Their attention to detail was a pure joy for us!

Travel Review: Luxury Greece Trip, Athens, Delphi, Monemvasia, Nafplion, Naxos, Paros, Epidaurus, Mycenae, 17-Day Tour
Our visit to Greece was the third trip we’ve arranged through Zicasso, the others being Ireland and Spain...both of which were great.  Our Greek trip, however, was exceptional.  Our travel specialist at the travel company was patient throughout the long planning process, working with us to suggest locations, lodgings and activities that would make our visit a special one.  From our first meeting with him at the airport upon arrival, through our stays in Athens, Monemvasia, Nafplio, Naxos and Paros, everything went perfectly.  Guides were on time, hotels were just what we had requested (boutiques, not chains), our rental car was delivered to our hotel, transportation to and from ferry landings and airports was on-time and friendly, activities were exactly what we hoped for.  Our travel specialist was reachable and responsive whenever we had a question or needed information (which to our embarrassment was way too often).  We’re big fans of Zicasso and have learned to expect great service and value from its travel partners.  However, this travel company exceeded our already high expectations in so many ways.  It’s taken me 50 years to finally visit Greece and I owe our travel specialsit & the travel company a huge thank you for making it so memorable.  I also want to mention how welcoming, friendly and helpful everyone we met in Greece was.  We’ve already started planning a return visit.

Luxury Greece Review: Athens, Meteora, Santorini, Monastery, Wine Tasting, Sunset Cruise on Aegean Sea, Ladies Trip
My trip with this travel team was fabulous.  I traveled to 3 different places in Greece with my daughter and sister for 6 nights so it was a fast trip.  Our trip planner and I worked together for the short amount of time we had in Greece.  We really got a favor of Greece by traveling to Athens, Meteora and then to Santorini.  All 3 places were different in unique ways.  This  is the first time I tried a Luxury Tour and I can say it was well worth the money.  We were picked up at the airport and transported to our hotel which was nice after traveling all night to get to Greece.  All of our transports were on time, the drivers are very courteous and professional and I have to say it is nice being transported around in a Mercedes Benz as they are very nice cars.  It was one less thing for us to worry about.  We had planned 2 separate private tours, one in Athens and one in Meteora. The tour guide in Athens had just finished her Doctorate degree in Archaeology.  She was so knowledgeable that our tour of the Acropolis and Museum in Athens was informative and memorable.  Our other private tour in Meteora was equally informative about the area and monks that came there and built the monasteries on top of the rock cliffs.  If you go to Greece the private tours are the way to go.  While in Santorini we also did a couple of semi-private tours.  My daughter and I did a wine tasting tour (on Mother's Day) which included 3 different wineries and a beautiful sunset at the last winery.  They pick you up at your hotel in a very nice tour bus.    Our group was very small, only 4 other people so it was very pleasurable and our tour guide was very knowable about all the wines and how they grow the grapes in Santorini.  Our last semi-private tour was a Sunset Cruise on a catamaran.  The boat was very nice, they grilled dinner for us which was delicious and the crew was very friendly. The views from the water were breathtakingly beautiful of the Aegean Sea.   Our group was small approximately 20 people so it was intimate and very enjoyable. If you are planning a trip to Greece this travel team is the Travel Designer to use. I was very happy with our trip, the price we paid and the service we got.   Every detail was planned, an itinerary was printed and presented to us at the airport.  We were also given the cell phone numbers for our Agent and she was in communication with us every day.  As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.  If you are looking for a upscale trip of Greece then I would highly recommend using this travel team.

Greece Travel Review: Arachova, Nafplio, Kastraki, Thessaloniki, Rethymno, Delphi, Crete, 12-Day Trip
Our travel agent (George) nailed the trip. Well planned from start to finish and very stress free. Best trip we've taken. Absolutely loved the trip!! All of the tour guides were first rate and we learned a LOT from them.  With the exception of the hotel in Arachova all of the hotels were terrific. The one in Arachova was a bit shabby and run down with a challenging walk along the highway to get into town. In all the other towns (Nafplio, Kastraki, Thessaloniki and in Rethymno) the hotels and the service was simply excellent. All of them were standouts for different reasons but our favorite was the hotel in Rethymno (asked them to sell us the room - no luck). We were simply floored by its quality and the room in particular with it's private balcony.Food! What can I say about the food of Greece? We were blown away but the quality and taste wherever we went. Tried many new dishes where it seemed like the one we just had was the best ever only to have that happen time and again. The hospitality of the Greek people was also tremendous and at a level we are not accustomed (but would like to more accustomed to!) and the spirit of of them was absolutely delightful.
