Detailed Description
With the glittering lights of Florence illuminating around you, your first evening will include a riverboat tour along the Arno river. It is here that you will receive an overview of the city’s major sights, including the Ponte Vecchio and the role the Arno played in supplying Florence with transportation and trade. Pedals will replace oars as the main mode of propulsion as you embark on a tour of the city by bicycle. The city center enjoys the status of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so there will be much to see here.
Before your departure, you will visit the famous Duomo, which towers over the rest of the city, as well as the numerous galleries and museums that display world-class Renaissance art. Your tour will be capped on the final day by an excursion beyond the city limits. For this experience, you will board a hot air balloon and gently ascend into the skies that overlook Tuscany. From this perch, you will be able to ponder the special significance of this region and share some unforgettable memories with your partner.
Along with scheduled activities and tours, you and your partner will have ample time to explore the city at your own pace. Want to visit a shop where an artisan is painstakingly restoring a priceless antique? Head on in. If you run into an enticing aroma as emerges from a hole-in-the-wall cafe? Check it out. It is often these spontaneous encounters that yield the best memories, and on this tour, you will find an abundance of these special moments.

My husband & I wanted a special trip for our 35th Wedding Anniversary: "A Trip of a Lifetime" to Italy. Zicasso partnered me with this tour company and the trip exceeded our wildest expectations. Our travel planner of this team was prompt in contacting me for our initial consultation. She was very attentive and considerate of my thoughts and ideas, quickly able to grasp the romantic vibe that I wanted to create during this trip.
Our travel planner provided excellent accommodation selections that were all perfectly suited to our needs and very Italian. Having stayed in Venice, Florence, Montepulciano and Panzano, each accommodation was perfect with charms unique to its particular location; whether city or Tuscan country.
The excursions that our planner offered and then booked; per our preferences, were amazing. We decided on some guided group tours, private tours, balanced with unplanned time for exploration on our own. The travel planner was very helpful when I realized a couple weeks before our trip that I needed to change one of our pickup times for transfer. She happily accommodated my change request and made it seamless.
My husband has typically planned our trips in the past and we have always enjoyed our adventures. But he had an amazing experience not having to worry about transfer pickups, juggling times and locations of excursions or missing great sites that we may have otherwise missed without the expert guidance of our travel planner and this travel team.
We highly recommend this travel team and this travel planner with helping make your Italian dream come true!

THE BEST VACATION EVER!!!!
I must admit that I was somewhat uncomfortable arranging a group tour to Italy with someone I communicated with only via the Internet and telephone. However, after my first communication with our agent -- I knew that she “had it.” She understood exactly what we wanted to do. She was right-on in both concept and execution.
Our ten-day adventure in Italy began with a private transfer with an English speaking local driver from the Rome airport to our fantastic 3 star boutique hotel located right in the historical center of Rome. During our three days in Rome, we had fantastic private tours of Ancient Rome, the Coliseum, and the Vatican Museums. Extremely knowledgeable, English-speaking guides led all of our tours. Sense of Italy had arranged for VIP, skip the line, priority entrance for all tours -- saving us from long waits in long lines.
After our busy 3 days in Rome, we departed via private van transfer from our hotel in Rome to the Chianti Region of Tuscany. The transfer included stops on the Val D’ Orcia to visit the amazing Villages of Montalcino and Montepulciano. The “light lunch” and wine tasting we enjoyed in Montalcino was one of the highlights of our trip. In Tuscany we stayed 7 Nights in a beautiful, historic villa located on one of the best wine estates of Chianti (Villa Le Corti near San Casciano) where we were met with a fantastic welcome dinner. During our time in Tuscany we were transported by private van from our villa to private tours of Siena, San Gimignano, Florence, Pisa and Lucca. On each of our stops we were met by knowledgeable English speaking guides that clearly were proud of the history of their country, and were anxious to share it. Interspersed in all of this activity were numerous exceptional meals with opportunities to taste (and drink) very fine Italian wines.
When we finally were forced to leave Italy, our agent arranged for private transport accommodating our varying departure times from the Florence airport and train station.
Thanks to this travel company and our agent for designing the perfect vacation for our group. The only complaint that I heard was that we ate too much — wow was all the food delicious. I really don’t know how she did it. All of the tours were great — the van drivers friendly and helpful, the guides knowledgeable, and the sites spectacular. Our stay in the villa was a great experience. We were treated royally everywhere. We all marveled at our agent's ability to get us, the vans, the guides, the food and wine, etc. all at the right place at the right time. She is a genius!!!!

Wonderful 10 day trip to central Italy planned by this Italy travel company. We spent the first part of the trip at Castello di Casole in the Tuscan countryside, then Florence and the final part of the trip in Rome. While in Tuscany, we took day trips to Montalcino, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, San Gimignano and Greve. We had walking tours in Florence and Rome. our agent at this travel company planned all the details, transfer drivers, tour guides and hotel arrangements. Everything went according to plan and was of outstanding quality. The agency gave us a very detailed package of information with all the relevant details for each day.
Great Vacation

Our travel agency planned our wonderful trip to Tuscany, Cinque Terre and Florence. I had high expectations when I embarked on the trip and they were exceeded by the actual experience. Thank you for introducing us to Pietrasanta. What a wonderful small city! It was such a pleasure just walking the streets, having a drink in the square and taking in the local culture. The hotel that you booked for us there was terrific. Great location, beautiful rooms, exceptional service. The excursions to Cinque Terre, by sea and by land, were everything I had hoped for. Our next stop, Cortona, was beyond wonderful. The inn was one of the most romantic places that I’ve ever been. Perfect for our anniversary trip. And the food at their restaurant!! I’m still dreaming about it! The Wine and cheese excursion and cooking class that you planned for us there were so, so good. We ate very well in Cortona! Our final stop, Florence, was equally terrific. Ideally located hotel, vibrant tour guide and another terrific excursion to Chianti and Siena. My only complaint was that it didn’t last longer .Their attention to detail really made this trip run smoothly. They really listened to what we wanted and planned the ideal trip for us. I look forward to planning my next vacation with this travel agency!!

Our trip to Italy was perfect! Every detail that we wanted included was planned (thanks to our agent) to the letter to be comfortable and stress free. We traveled from Rome to Florence to Tuscany and finally Positano in the Amalfi Coast. As this was our honeymoon, the hotels were perfectly selected to be romantic and perfectly located for the itinerary prepared. We loved all of the hotels, each unique from one to another and yet all had beautiful views, included breakfasts, and not one bad experience with any of the rooms we stayed in. Our agent made excellent recommendations for dining, the dinners and lunches on our trip were easily some of best I have ever had. Lastly, the guides were well suited for me and my wife. Each recognized to blend the tour to have history for me and cultural stops for my wife. So while our favorite tour-guide taught me about the Ponte Vecchio, my wife was steered to the store that baked the best Biscotti in all of Florence. The trip was like this throughout as we felt our agent had perfectly planned and tailored the vacation to what I had envisioned.
