Five nights spent in a luxurious hotel overlooking the famous shoreline immerses you in the indelible charms connecting the diverse cities separated by mountain promontories and the sea. The streets become historic labyrinths of homes and restaurants. Massive towers erected to protect the coastline from Saracen pirates retains their sense of looming drama. The island of Procida offers a more authentic experience wandering around narrow lanes and belvederes, while Capri shines like a symbol of welcoming affluence with boutique shops, stunning coastal rock formations, and villas brimming with art.

Traveling South from the Amalfi Coast takes you through a small portion of coastline belonging to the region of Basilicata. Italy Family Trip Review: Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Capri, Tropea, Cosenza, Napoli, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Pertosa Caves
I asked Carmen and her team at the travel agency to help us with a special family vacation in south Italy.  My grandfather came from a small village in the hills of Calabria, well off of the beaten tourist path.  The travel agency arranged for a truly spectacular experience, customized to our needs.  We started with a few days in Sorrento, a driver to show us the Amalfi Coast, and a guides to help us experience Capri from the land and water, before venturing south to experience the Pertosa caves, and a small Calabrian community in which many residents share our last name.  The itinerary next brought us to stunning Tropea and its beaches, and then Cosenza and Napoli, including private guided tours of Pompeii and Herculaneum, with a wine-tasting lunch in the middle!  The mix of private, curated experiences and free time to explore my family's Calabrian roots was perfect.  The travel agency took care of all of our needs, from beautiful accommodations, to kind, knowledgeable guides and drivers.  The team was in frequent but unobtrusive contact, and always available, to make sure that we had everything that we needed, from driver and guide contact information to dinner reservation assistance, if desired. We were captivated by south Italy's beauty and its welcoming people.  Carmen's willingness to help us travel to a few areas infrequently visited by Americans provided my family and I with positive, unique interactions and experiences that will make us remember this trip forever.  I wholeheartedly recommend this travel company for anyone interested in a special visit to a really wonderful country.

Italy Anniversary Vacation Review: Amalfi Coast, Capri, Sorrento, Florence, Rome, Tuscany, Culinary Tour, Cooking Class, Farm Tours

We used this Italy travel agent. Our agent was the best!!!  Love her...She was not only very professional but very knowledgeable about our requests. She herself is from Italy and was full of generous information. Every question asked  was responded too.

We had never been to Italy before. Our family had roots from Italy and some of our relatives had visited there before. It was now our time.  It was a life goal to do this trip and we planned it as our 25th wedding anniversary, taking along with us our best friends (couple). We wanted tours that were private and exclusive to the four of us. This is the only way to go. Well worth the money cause the guides and transport people were top notch!!!  We wanted an experience that was tailored to our speed and areas that we wanted to concentrate on seeing. We wanted some fun activities too... cooking classes, farm tours, certain wineries  etc.. our agent worked extra hard to help this come true along with making suggestions for on the ground local points of interest, from restaurants to shopping to sites to see!! She stayed in contact with every stage of the way. All the tours, transfers, guides, hotels and more were seamlessly arranged.

We stayed 12 nights / 13 days. Rome to Sorrento (Positano/Ravello/Amalfi) to Florence (Radda in Chianti and the Tuscany valley) back to Rome. We use private transportation, fast trains, luxury buses and some foot work. All were an excellent way to get our travels in.  Most days planned with tours and events and some days were just to ourselves. It was a great mix.

Highly recommend this travel agency......... Thank you

Travel Review: Italy Trip, Rome, Sorrento, Florence, Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Ravello, Siena, San Gimignano, Farm & Food Tour

We experienced a fabulous twelve night first trip ever to Europe staying in Rome, Sorrento, and Florence with day visits to Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum, a drive with stops and photo-ops through the beautiful Amalfi coast villages to Ravello, and a day trip to historic Siena and San Gimignano through the Chianti region of Tuscany. Our travel consultant and her colleague at the company in Rome, proved to be perceptive to our interests, resourceful in finding spot-on solutions within our budget and patient professionals as we explored various itinerary options. Both women spoke and wrote english very well to thoughtfully help us plan our itinerary for three adults with private transportation and guides. Our private guides in Rome; in Pompeii and Herculaneum; in Naples; one a Canadian ex-pat in Florence; and in Siena, informed our discovery of each locale and its many treasures.  We also did two small group tours. First, a farm/food tour near Sorrento with an incredibly informative and entertaining guide, and catacombs at Saint Sebastian with a nameless guide and small group of 9 during our Appian way visit and final full day in Rome. At times we were chaperoned in private vehicles with english speaking drivers knowledgeable of their territories. In Rome, in Naples, in the Bay of Naples Sorrento area, in Tuscany, and in Amalfi. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to help others plan the vacation of a lifetime.

Review: Luxury Italy Family Vacation, Rome, Venice, Florence, Tuscany, Chianti, Verona, Milan

My husband and I, along with our 2 children (age 20 and 17), enjoyed a wonderful Italian vacation booked through Zicasso and this travel agency.  Our travel consultants listened to my ideas and arranged for us a fantastic custom itinerary.   They stayed within the budget allotted, offered choices for beautiful hotels and private tours, and made several revisions as per our request.  We departed from New York on our 25th anniversary, and spent 10 days traveling the country within the month of November.  This off-season time proved to be a great decision as reservations were easy to obtain, crowds were minimal (mostly all locals), and the weather was conducive for walking and sightseeing (average 60 degrees F).  Transportation and the personal drivers were top notch; with Mercedes SUVs or minivans to take my family from Milan-Chianti-Florence-Verona-Venice and then the high speed train down to Rome.  Accommodations arranged for us were phenomenal!  We stayed in a 12th century castle in Chianti, in the heart of the city center in Florence, and near the Spanish Steps in Rome.  The personal tour guides were friendly and knowledgable, and were happy to recommend eateries preferred by locals.  All in all, everything was flawless. We plan to return some day to see the Amalfi coast, Positano and Capri.  We would absolutely recommend these travel consultants, and the travel company team to anyone who is looking for a personalized Italian vacation.

Italy Family Trip Review: Rome, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Sorrento, Pompeii, Capri, Pizza & Gelato Making Class, Path of The Gods
Our travel agency did a wonderful job putting together a once in a lifetime trip for me and my three children (14, 12, 10). All of the logistics of getting into and from places were handled by Monica which meant my family and I just had to show up on time and enjoy ourselves (a huge relief for someone traveling with kids internationally for the first time). You could tell that Monica had put thought into where she selected accommodations for us in Rome and Sorrento, making walking to our destinations very easy and the preferred way of getting around. Hotel accommodations exceeded our expectations and the kids and I felt like we were in a James Bond movie at our hotel in Sorrento on the side of the cliff with Mt. Vesuvius looming over the bay in the background. All of the tours we took were very professional and we stayed pretty busy and on the move with appropriate amounts of downtime programmed into our days for people to recover and prepare for the next outing (while eating delicious food).  Rome included a private tour of the Colosseum and Roman Forum, pizza and gelato making class, crypts and catacombs tour, and general site seeing as we stayed near the Trevi Fountain and were within walking distance to many of the famous piazzas. Staying in Sorrento had us hiking Mt. Vesuvius, a private tour of Pompeii, boating and site-seeing the island of Capri, and hiking the Path of the Gods along the Amalfi Coast.  A wonderful trip my family will never forget and we thank Monica/travel agency over and over for putting together such an amazing trip for us! Highly recommend!

Travel Review: Anniversary Vacation in Italy, Rome, Sorrento, Puglia. Matera, Capri Boat Tour, Colosseum & Forum Tour, Wineries

My wife and I have wanted to travel to Italy for almost a decade, so picking the right travel agent was a very important step for us. Zicasso connected us with several agencies. We ultimately selected this company and worked with this travel agent to plan our trip. We could not have been more pleased with our experience.

One of the reasons we selected this travel agent was because she was based out of Italy. We felt more comfortable with someone living in the country as opposed to a travel agent who had simply visited Italy. Her expertise definitely improved many aspects of our trip. Our must-haves included a multi-night stay in Rome and Pompeii. Our agent crafted a 11-day vacation for us that included Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento, Matera, and Puglia. Each detail of our trip was planned perfectly.

We were picked up by private automobile transport at the airport and had private tours through almost our entire trip. Our tour groups ranged in size from just us to 10 people. The tour guides that our agent selected were incredibly knowledgeable and personable. They were enthusiastic and clearly very passionate about their tours. She also recommended a variety of restaurants and made reservations for us for every evening we were in Italy. She offered options for each day and we were able to select the tours that best suited our interests (Roman Catacombs, Food tour, Jewish Ghetto, etc.). We had 4-star accommodations throughout the trip. Not only were all the hotels great, they were in perfect locations in the center of the cities we visited.

When it was time to travel to Sorrento, our agent arranged travel by train and then private automobile pickup to our final destinations. We spent a day in Sorrento, another day in Capri, and our last day touring the Amalfi coast. We were able to take a boat tour around Capri and visit multiple cities along Amalfi. We tried our first ever Michelin rated restaurant and it was delicious. We couldn't believe that she arranged for a private driver to spend 12 hours with us along the Amalfi Coast (he dropped us off at designated cities and picked us up an hour or two later).

For our next step, our agent took us off the common tourist path and had us visit Matera and Puglia. It was a great cultural contrast to Rome and Sorrento. We slept in a Grotto (hotel) in Matera and had splendid views of the country and old city. In Puglia, we visited a winery and dined along the Adriatic Sea.

It was a memorable trip that we could not have been more thankful for. During multiple times on the trip, my wife and I remarked how lucky we were to have a travel agent so knowledgeable.

Our agent called us several times to check-in on us and immediately remedied a situation where our itinerary was forced to change. We had her number 24-7 for any needs. We had a stress-free trip. We could not have planned this trip on our own, so we are grateful to have had our agent's wisdom. We had contemplated doing our own research, but we could not have recreated the magic of this trip.

When we travel to Italy again, we will definitely be using this travel company!
