Procida – Arrive on the Secluded Island of Procida in the Bay of Naples
The pleasures of Procida are at your fingertips as your flight lands at Naples International Airport. Your private transfer will escort you and your partner to the Naples Harbor to board the ferry to the bay’s smallest inhabited island. Naples’s harbor embodies the history of the city, and the boisterous culture in the sweeping promenade offers views to the boats that wade in the azure water. The harbor has been a gateway to the Western World for more than two millennia as the sea splashes against the breakwaters.
The peak of Mount Vesuvius looms on the horizon across the bay. You will board your ferry to cross the calm azure waters to reach the marina at the Porto. Local boys cast fishing lines into the water from the shore as fishermen linger on the promenade to swap stories about their days along the water. We (family of 4 including two teenagers) had a wonderful trip to southern Italy the last two weeks of June: Sorrento, Naples, Matera, Polignano a Mare (Puglia region). With Sorrento as our base we saw Positano/Amalfi Coast, Capri and Pompeii. In Puglia we visited Ostuni, Alberobello and Lecce, went to a wine tasting (with great wine!), and visited two masserias: one for an olive oil tasting, and another with a pasta-making class. Our travel agent at at this company helped us to plan a great itinerary. She was very flexible and helped us keep within our budget, and the logistics she put together were flawless. I also felt she truly listened to what we wanted - even her first draft itinerary was very close to the mark. Highly recommended.

My husband and I just returned from an incredible trip to Italy celebrating our 20 year anniversary. Our agent with this Italy travel company planned a trip that was exactly what we were hoped for: stress-free, full of activities (but not overwhelming), romantic, and beautiful. On a trip with so much details there are plenty of opportunities for something to go wrong but every tiny aspect was handled perfectly!! Within five minutes of stepping into any car, the driver’s phone rang. It was one of our agents making sure everything was fine and there were no problems. Our agent made our trip incredible! His attention to detail, vast knowledge, and ability to read people to figure out what and how to plan their trip allowed my husband and I to enjoy each other and our surroundings.
We spent the first two nights in Montalcino. I imagine it is challenging to make a castle cozy and charming, but they succeeded! The castle was more than we could have ever hoped for with an interesting history, beautiful pool and views that were out of this world. The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms were tastefully decorated and roomy. The castle's restaurant served us the most incredible meals with wonderful wine. We went cycling through the vineyards, enjoyed the wine tasting room, experienced a cooking class by the head chef that was entertaining as well as informative. We actually replicated his meal within a week of arriving home.
We left Montalcino for Rome and spent four days exploring the city. We had a private tour guide for Vatican City and Ancient Rome. With the large amount of people, everywhere, I can not imagine trying to navigate, enjoy, and absorb so much history and space without someone to help. He was full of information; it was obvious he loved the city and the history. We spent our time where we wanted to be, not trying to figure out how to get there or how to get around the masses of people. The hotel we stayed at is in a great location. The hotel was nice but it was all about the location.
We departed Rome for Sorrento where we dropped our suitcases at the hotel. Our room was beautiful with lots of room and a view that we ran to see every morning. Their patio overlooks Sorrento Bay and we enjoyed every sunset with a drink and beautiful sights. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with suggestions and a friendly smile. Our favorite place to eat was Donna Sophia, a restaurant that is located up a very narrow, scary but exhilarating street. We found the ride and the restaurant to be lots of fun with delicious food. We spent one day with a private driver and guide in Pompeii and Vesuvius. The next day we had a private driver that took us on the most beautiful drive to Positano where we again enjoyed the views, beach, and shopping. Unfortunately there was a wreck that blocked the road and we could not continue on to Ravello and Amalfi. Instead we spent a relaxing afternoon by the pool.
Our favorite part of the trip was a day spent on a private charter boat. It was amazingly scenic and beautiful while relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed swimming, checking out caves, a lunch that was out of this world, and champagne while drinking in the sights. We ended our boat trip on Capri Island.
We spent two nights at the hotel there. It was absolutely breathtaking! The view from the balcony of our room can not be adequately described. It was truly the most magnificent sight I have ever seen. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We had a small issue with a clothing store that was suppose to deliver a package the night before we left. When we woke and still had not received our goods, the staff at the front desk handled the situation beautifully and resolved our problem.

Overall Trip was excellent- travel tips were extremely helpful and suggested activities helped very much. We followed there travel suggestions and were very satisfied.
Some specific comments;
Rome- Hotel was great, excellent breakfast (best we had) - Tour guide for Forum was very good, guy for vatican talked a little to much but didn't say much, didn't use suggested restaurants just picked out roadside cafe's and it worked great.
Positano- Hotel very good although shower did not drain and even after repeated requests no body fixed it. Breakfast very good ( second best) and mornings on the porch were priceless. Used suggested restaurant, a bit pricey but good ( we typically prefer more casual dinners and stayed on our own for dinner locations after that) - trip to Capri was good (crowds made it a bit difficult to get going) lot of climbing. Ravello was cool but public bus wasted a lot of time and wasn't comfortable at all- some direction might have helped.
Pompeii- we should have prepared more to get more out of it
Florence- really need time, but that was our fault- room location wasn't bad but a little bland- it worked though, nothing exciting. Replacement tour guide worked out very well- very knowledgeable. Food tour was excellent.
Car rental- worked excellent - really glad we did it
Abbey - interesting but 3 nights there was to much- frankly bed was terrible (felt like it was from the middle ages) breakfast just OK and it was always a long drive back- we did quite a bit in those three days but found that driving back and forth to the abbey took a LOT of time. Tasting dinner OK- we would have preferred just ordering off the menu. Would have liked to see Sienna or other locations more. Frankly we didn't plan well and tracked over the same roads many times. Cooking class was excellent-very much worth it.
Opera 2 - excellent, views great, interesting location- two days is right. Tasting dinner was OK? but given the choice we would do something else. Ferrari museums were just good, Lamborghini facility was much better.
Venice- amazing place and crowded. Took some time to drop the car and find the two locations to validate the travel transit tickets , especially the place for the transfer back to airport- office is in the train station and poorly marked. took a bit of time. Hotel was great- once we found it- maps and google map on phone don't work well as you probably know. Did what we could in a day and half (Murano glass tour was excellent- people were great)
Trip home long but uneventful- thanks for a great trip we will always remember. Joe S

We used this Italy travel agent. Our agent was the best!!! Love her...She was not only very professional but very knowledgeable about our requests. She herself is from Italy and was full of generous information. Every question asked was responded too.
We had never been to Italy before. Our family had roots from Italy and some of our relatives had visited there before. It was now our time. It was a life goal to do this trip and we planned it as our 25th wedding anniversary, taking along with us our best friends (couple). We wanted tours that were private and exclusive to the four of us. This is the only way to go. Well worth the money cause the guides and transport people were top notch!!! We wanted an experience that was tailored to our speed and areas that we wanted to concentrate on seeing. We wanted some fun activities too... cooking classes, farm tours, certain wineries etc.. our agent worked extra hard to help this come true along with making suggestions for on the ground local points of interest, from restaurants to shopping to sites to see!! She stayed in contact with every stage of the way. All the tours, transfers, guides, hotels and more were seamlessly arranged.
We stayed 12 nights / 13 days. Rome to Sorrento (Positano/Ravello/Amalfi) to Florence (Radda in Chianti and the Tuscany valley) back to Rome. We use private transportation, fast trains, luxury buses and some foot work. All were an excellent way to get our travels in. Most days planned with tours and events and some days were just to ourselves. It was a great mix.
Highly recommend this travel agency......... Thank you

My husband and I, along with our 2 children (age 20 and 17), enjoyed a wonderful Italian vacation booked through Zicasso and this travel agency. Our travel consultants listened to my ideas and arranged for us a fantastic custom itinerary. They stayed within the budget allotted, offered choices for beautiful hotels and private tours, and made several revisions as per our request. We departed from New York on our 25th anniversary, and spent 10 days traveling the country within the month of November. This off-season time proved to be a great decision as reservations were easy to obtain, crowds were minimal (mostly all locals), and the weather was conducive for walking and sightseeing (average 60 degrees F). Transportation and the personal drivers were top notch; with Mercedes SUVs or minivans to take my family from Milan-Chianti-Florence-Verona-Venice and then the high speed train down to Rome. Accommodations arranged for us were phenomenal! We stayed in a 12th century castle in Chianti, in the heart of the city center in Florence, and near the Spanish Steps in Rome. The personal tour guides were friendly and knowledgable, and were happy to recommend eateries preferred by locals. All in all, everything was flawless. We plan to return some day to see the Amalfi coast, Positano and Capri. We would absolutely recommend these travel consultants, and the travel company team to anyone who is looking for a personalized Italian vacation.

I am in between four and five stars, but I will give five. The customer service, planning, and communication from Zicasso's tour operator were outstanding. As two couples, we had an amazing first-time trip and couldn’t have planned it without a travel company. My comments are not to be taken as disappointed, only suggestions. We were blessed to be able to travel and had a wonderful experience. I would definitely use this travel agency again.
We do have a few minor things to share: our hotel in Rome would not run the AC. The rooms were warm at night and it was difficult to sleep. First, they told us it was law that the AC could not be used until June. Then they explained that they (hotel policy) only used AC if it was above a certain temperature. We stopped at a few other hotels in the area and they said their AC was on. We also asked other visitors in Rome. If you enjoy AC, I recommend not staying here, even though they are rated four stars.
I requested a Vespa tour. Instead, we got booked on a hybrid bike tour in Tuscany. We all thought “hybrid” meant electric bikes. This is not the case. It’s not like a car, part electric, part gasoline. For four average adults over 50, this was not ideal. We got there and found it was 13km with hills. Though our guide was amazing, Vespas would have been best.
Also, be careful with your travel choices. The weather was not great and we were on Ischia Island. We were supposed to get on a private boat, head to Capri, then Sorrento for four nights. Due to the weather, Capri had to be postponed, but they wanted an extra $740 to put us on a bigger boat to get us to Sorrento. We felt this should not have been our issue and should have been taken care of without extra cost to us. The only way off the island is by boat.
All of this being said, and considering we were there for almost two weeks, these were minor hiccups and stuff happens. It’s not major, so I give my five stars.
The travel group was amazing! They were available anytime I had to text and communicate. Our other hotels were wonderful! We loved all our tour guides and drivers. It was an absolutely amazing experience!
