As you ascend to the top of the building and walk to the observation deck, you will be able to witness a panoramic view of Tokyo. Asakusa is the entrance to Japan’s ancient past. During your visit, you will visit the Sensoji, which is a popular Buddhist temple that was built during the 7th century.

The world of Studio Ghibli will allow you to witness life-sized characters from the studio’s anime shows. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gokayama in Toyama will reveal how silkworms were raised and farmed. The following day, you will sail down the Matsukawa River in a gondola. Japan Tour Review: Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Nagoya, Hakone, Ryokan, Baseball, Tea Ceremony, Local Cuisine, 16 Days

Zicasso's travel specialist and her team planned an absolutely outstanding 16-day trip for me and my family. We visited Tokyo, Ghibli Park (near Nagoya), Kanazawa, Kyoto (with day trips to Nara and Osaka), and then wrapped things up with two nights at a beautiful and luxurious ryokan in Hakone.

Communication leading up to the trip was clear and efficient, and whenever we had a question during the trip, we were able to get quick answers from our travel company's rep in Japan.

I would absolutely book another trip with this company.

Japan Luxury Vacation Review: Temples, Shrines, Festivals, Cherry Blossoms, Shopping, Cuisine, Four Weeks
Zicasso’s travel company planned the ideal trip for us! We carefully went over our travel preferences regarding hotel types, restaurants, and experiences we were interested in. They created a perfect balance of urban stays with day trips (from Tokyo and Kyoto), more rural experiences (on Yakushima Island, Hida Furukawa, and Toyama), and smaller towns (Kanazawa, Tayama, and Hakone). Transportation from place to place was well organized and the guides were really nice and very informative.

Travel Review: Japan Tour, Tokyo, Hakone, Osaka, Takayama, Nara, Sake & Food Tours

This was truly an incredible trip and one that my wife and I will never forget.  It was two weeks across 5 cities in Japan and I only wish it had been longer.  We visited Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Kyoto and Osaka.

There were a couple of issues that we had with some of our guides that we addressed with our travel agency and they were very understanding and helped work through the issues and make everything right.  They were top-notch in service, availability, and resolving issues to our satisfaction.

I definitely plan on using this company again in the future for another adventure.

Travel Review: Luxury Japan Family Vacation, Tokyo, Osaka, Hakone, Kyoto, Nara, Sumo Wrestling, Tea Ceremony

1.  our first hotel, though having no glaring deficiencies, was still below vacation expectations.  the other two other hotels were excellent. the ryokan was a wonderful experience, with two nights just about right for our group.

2.  all four guides were knowledgeable and entertaining.  the kyoto and toyko walking tour guides were also quite vigorous as we walked many miles on those days.  the osaka guide (from the UK), not surprisingly, was the easiest to understand, so he provided more complete answers to many of our more complicated questions about japan.

3.  some of the attractions the group liked best were on our "on your own" days, including the hakone open air museum, the sumo matches, the diabutsu in nara, and the fushimi inari-taisha (though that walk up the mountain is not for the faint of heart).  i do not at all in comparison disparage the activities you scheduled.  in particular, my family very much like the tea ceremony and the skytree.

4.  one oddity was the half day we spent at disney japan.  my three daughters were raised on disney and we have been to disneyworld many times, including several when they were adults.  when we unexpectedly saw disneyland japan on the ride in from the airport, they insisted we make time for a visit.  they loved it but this is probably not a destination for most american tourists.

5.  the osaka guide was quite dismissive of the river cruise suggested in your guide, actually stating that has urged "them" (don't if that is your company or his japan employer) to remove reference to it.

6.  we ended up, against your advice, going to the robot restaurant.  my wife and i agree your advice was correct though the younger group thought it was at least a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

7.  this was our third large group family vacation through zicasso (greece, italy, and japan) and have been more than satisfied each time.  japan in particular required much more guidance for tourists, which you provided both in the written materials and in our several conversations.  Because japan is so different from the US, tourists can easily be overwhelmed.  We could not have enjoyed the trip (which we did immensely) without your help.

     thanks again for everything.

Review: Luxury Japan Tour: Hakone, Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Yokohama, Mt Fuji, Geisha Dance Performance, Yokohama Baystars Game

We have nothing but positive things to say about our trip to Japan that was planned by Laura at this Japan travel agency. The itinerary was perfect and we felt that we were able to see and experience so much in just two weeks. Laura was very responsive and answered all of our questions very promptly via email or phone. We received info-packs prior to our departure that allowed us to feel well prepared and plan our daily activities. Everything flowed seamlessly, from airport transfers, to hotel check-ins, to guided tours. The hotels were all nice and comfortable with very helpful staff. We had the opportunity to visit Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Yokohama. Our guided tours in Tokyo and Kyoto and our bike tour in Kyoto were all outstanding. The timing of our trip allowed us to see the beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom. We also got to experience a baseball game. We honestly cannot think of anything that this agency could have done better. We highly recommend them and are already starting to plan our next trip with them!

Japan Travel Review: Kyoto, Hakone, Naoshima, Mt. Fuji, Cherry Blossoms, Shrines, 17-Day Trip
Our trip to Japan was very interesting and different than any other trip we have taken. Traveling by train was at times challenging, but we were able to cover so much of the country by doing so. Our favorite cities were Kyoto and Hakone and should be included in any itinerary. As an outdoor museum, Naoshima Island was beautiful and so different than anything we have seen. The cherry blossoms and gardens were amazingly beautiful in Kyoto and seeing Mt. Fuji near Hakone was magical. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Jeff at the travel agency was very easy to work with. The tour was well organized and thorough. We had an 80 page itinerary!!!!!
