Japan Luxury Family Trip Review: Tokyo, Hakone, Osaka, Kyoto, Sightseeing, Local Cuisine, Soccer, 10-Day Tour
All I can say is WOW! My teenage sons, their dad, and I had an amazing trip to Japan! We visited Tokyo, Hakone, Osaka, Kyoto, and then more time in Tokyo. We ate, we shopped, we saw pro soccer, fed monkeys and saw shrines, temples, and palaces. Our two amazing guides were truly wonderful! So kind. Informative. Somehow managed to get all the crazy food, shopping and sightseeing ideas we suggested into every day. Plus more we never would have known about. Every day we said “there is absolutely no way we could have done all this on our own!” Our guides made everything so efficient because they knew where we were going and got us into restaurants we probably couldn’t have found or gotten into without them. Plus helping us order. Then, because of their education we were able to branch out on our own. Mastering the trains and subways. Knowing important phrases, and how to interact. Learning interesting cultural facts and information. Our trip wouldn’t have been as enjoyable if we would have tried to do it on our own. The travel agency took care of so much of the difficult things about planning and traveling that we were able to just enjoy with so much less to worry about. And we packed in a lot!  We are grateful for this experience and help making this a trip of a lifetime!

Travel Review: Japan Vacation, Kyoto, Tokyo, Nara, Takayama, Hiroshima, Osaka, Kanazawa, Miyajima Island, Sushi Making Class

Our trip was wonderful because of the perfect attention is given to us by our agent. He & I converted over the course of several months to plan and define exactly what we wished to do.  He suggested activities such as our Home Stay outside of Kyoto which I didn't even know existed and that turned out to be one of the trip's highlights!

Prior to our departure, our agent emailed a 150-page itinerary which included every activity, hotel or ryokan, guides' names and even details as to the exact platform from which our trains would depart. It included maps, histories of a town and suggestions about places & things to do in that town.

We visited Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka, Kanazawa, Takayama, Himeji, Kurashiki, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, Shirakawa-go, Nara  ( a 3.5-week trip). We had excellent guides who were knowledgeable, caring and friendly.  My husband needed to see a physician while there and 2 guides in different cities accompanied him to translate.  It was actually an opportunity to experience treatment in Japan, a new adventure - "medical tourism"!

We really enjoyed our sushi class, formal tea ceremony, a Geisha performance at the local theater, nights at the western style ryokans, onsens, which are heavenly, my chance to visit a school (special arrangements were made for that), the day in Nara, the temples & shrines and the sushi!

Japan Travel Review, Tokyo, Kyoto, Mt. Fuji, Hakone, Gion, Fish Markets, Hot Springs, Cooking Class, Culture & Food

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and I recommend them highly. The tour designer from the tour company provided us with a fantastic itinerary that hit everything we were hoping to see and do - from guided tours through Tokyo and Kyoto, to views of Mt. Fuji and hot springs in Hakone, to fabulous meals and cultural experiences. Our detailed itinerary, rail passes, and pocket wifi made it very easy for us to navigate through Japan and all of our accommodations were great.
