Nairobi – Introduction
Kenya is usually a long way from home. Having a leisurely first day will help you to overcome the travel fatigue and get ready for eight days in the bush. An overnight layover is often unavoidable due to flight times because local flights to safari destinations leave in the mornings. After landing at Nairobi’s international airport, you will be greeted by a guide for a private transfer to Karen, which is a bucolic suburb on Nairobi’s outskirts. Giraffe and elephant encounters are possible in this area, so you can jump straight into the wildlife should you wish. If you are tired, you can rest at your boutique lodge and save your energy for the next few days.

The travel team of this travel company was wonderful to work with and went to great lengths to plan the perfect itinerary for our safari in Kenya. We originally started planning in 2019 for an August 2020 holiday, but as with so many, we had to reschedule for 2021. The team handled all of the changes expertly and were able to replicate our plans for July of 2021.
Their selection of camps was superb. Sosian Lodge in Laikipia was a wonderful camp with so many activities that we could not have possibly done them all - everything from game drives, bush dinners, sundowners, camel rides, horseback safaris, bush walks, sunrise climbs to Baboon rock, waterfall jumping, just to name a few. The lodge managers and staff were incredible and managed my dietary restrictions with ease. Our guide was so knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the night drives at Sosian.
Our second stop was Serian Nkorombo in the Masai Mara to view the migration. Again, the staff and guides were amazing. We were able to see the migration, leopards, huge prides of lions, black rhinos, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and of course, tons of wildebeest. Our tent by the river was home to two hippo families and we could hear them foraging around our camp at night. Masai warriors guarded the camp and were our constant companions should we need to leave our tent after dark.
We had a grand time and would highly recommend letting this travel team plan your next safari adventure.

Our trip was built upon trying to experience the great migration and thus, visiting the Masai Mara and the Serengeti. We were very fortunate to experience the build up of the great migration from the Mara with each day the number of wildebeest and zebras growing exponentially each day. Our last day in the Mara the numbers exceed a million wildebeest and zebras.
Our travel company worked collaboratively with us months before our trip detailing out our options. We are extremely happy with their advice and counsel in which properties we selected. Each property exceeded our high expectations. Their attention to details was very much appreciated. For example, we were greeted upon our arrival in Nairobi prior to reaching the luggage carousel and guided through the "process". Similarly upon our departure we had someone walk us through security, customs and then arranged for us to spend time in a airport club without travelling with that airline or related partner.

From the initial email contact and telephone conversation with the Zicasso travel agent, we could sense we were in good hands. He was very responsive to our ideas about a trip to Africa and his vast knowledge of the continent was immediately evident. Based on the information provided he quickly turned around a proposed itinerary for a trip to Kenya. Ultimately, we decided on safaris in Amboseli, Lewa, and Maasai Mara. Each location was beautiful in its own unique way. The accommodations were more than comfortable and the food was excellent. The Kenyan people were beyond friendly and the wildlife viewing was amazing.
In addition, we got some sense of the local cultures and were very pleased to learn that a portion of the revenue generated by our stays in each location went to the local conservation efforts.
The logistics of the trip were seamless, starting with our arrival in Nairobi very late on a Monday night, through to our return to the Nairobi airport on the evening of our departure.
The team at the travel agency handled all of the details and enabled our family to truly experience the trip of a lifetime. We would recommend this travel agency without reservation.

You could not have planned the trip better. It was fantastic! Our safari driver from Rangers was great - again could not of been better. He pushed every day for us to see everything possible. Hes fun and incredibly knowledgeable and has a great command of the English language. You were right to schedule one day in Nairobi - so glad we did not change it to two days. We saw the last of the Big 5 - the black rhino in Kenya. We loved all of our accommodations and the people are so friendly, polite and helpful. We saw the Great Migration in Tanzania. We would not of changed one thing. People from other tour agencies were dissapointed that when they arrived in Kenya when we did as all of the Wildebeest had already migrated to Tanzania. What you scheduled for us was perfect. I do think that Tanzania is not well known but Kenya is to the average American like us. If it wasn't for you we would of never known about Tanzania. Tanzania has it all - except the black rhino at the Govenor's Camp- no need to even go to Kenya but I did want to go the the Elephant and Giraffe orphanages. We loved Capetown, the shark cage trip and the tour operator was wonderful. The 1/2 day Capetown trip was great. We went on the historic Capetown walking tour at 11:00 after we checked out. We added the Olduvai museum at the crater to our trip. We had a wonderful time and saw so much in 17 days including traveling from the East Coast; Arusha, Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro crater, Central Serengeti - Turner Springs, Norther Serengeti - Kokatonde, Masai - Mara, Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Capetown. A trip of a lifetime.
