Detailed Description

This fantastic 16-day tour takes you through the gorgeous landscapes of the perfect New Zealand honeymoon, whether for newlyweds looking for intimate, secluded lodgings, luxurious surroundings, memorable activities, or all of the above. No matter the season, this romantic getaway will have you luxuriating in candle-lit dinners by night and exploring the sensational sights by day. Travel the expanse of the South Island for a honeymoon that you will never want to end.

Your romantic New Zealand vacation begins in Christchurch where the blossoming gardens of the city welcome you with colorful glee. You will make your way down to Kaikoura where the seaside town sits along the crashing waves and luscious prairies. Your suite sits within the trees and gives you a heavenly view of the landscape. Venture out into the ocean on guided tours that will have you swimming with eccentric dolphins, watching out for fur seals, and witnessing the incredible sight of a whale breaching the water’s surface.

From Kaikoura you will travel to Marlborough where some of New Zealand’s most famous and best-tasting wines are found, in addition to being home to the South Island’s Sauvignon Blanc region. The wines range from decadent to fresh, where any taste can be found for any flavor that is preferred. Continue on to the Rai Valley where the seclusion of your suite offers more than just a serene experience with the farmland and forests. Venture deep into the valley on a horseback ride along the Pelorus River, and deeper still if you prefer to partake in the Champagne lunch. As you depart from Rai Valley you will leave the horses behind but not the dreamy quality that New Zealand provides as you settle into Nelson.

Once in Nelson you will be able to explore the stunning sights of Able Tasman. Experience a brief helicopter flight to an island where you will kayak the day away in the sapphire water of the sea. Fly down to Wanaka where the splendor of the Crown Ranges and Mount Aspiring National Park sits outside your window of the Lime Tree Lodge like a painting. You will enjoy the Siberian Experience as you take a romantic scenic flight over the Siberia Valley, over the glacial lakes and beech trees.

Your dreamy journey continues with a cruise through Doubtful Sound, where the glacial waters thunder down the mountains and the luxury cruise ship floats calmly in the secluded region of country. Arrive in Queenstown with a sense of adoring adventure as you speed through the river on a jet-boat safari. You will also be able to soar through the air over the famous Milford Sound and land on one of the glaciers in the area giving you a unique walk along the icy cap in complete seclusion from the rest of the world. Eventually your journey through New Zealand will come to an end but the romance never has to stop; we know the honeymoon never will.

New Zealand & Australia Trip Review: Hiking near Punakaiki & Wanaka, Wai-O-Tapu, Farmlands of Napier, Marlborough Sound, Sydney
We recently completed a 3 week trip to New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. Our travel planner and this travel company turned our ideas for this trip into a wondrous adventure!! Working with our planner was fun, easy, and totally enjoyable even before the trip began! She offered hotel and activity alternatives, listened intently to our preferences, and made all the booking an absolute breeze!! Knowing our planner was available (in the background) during our entire trip was an added bonus when we experienced a hotel booking hiccup along the way. We contacted our planner with the issue (on a Friday evening while she was walking her dog on the beach!!), she went to work immediately to resolve it, stayed in touch with us via text messages and calls, and fixed the issue without hesitation. My wife and I were relieved and impressed with the integrity and professionalism with which the planner worked.Regarding the trip itself, New Zealand is a gorgeous country with so many outstanding places to see. The travel company offered us a great mix of independent travel coupled with the right amount of "pre-booked tours and activities" to immerse us in the New Zealand culture. Whether it was biking the farm country around Napier, boating around Abel Tasman National Park or hiking the trails of Punakaiki and Wanaka the trip exceeded our expectations. When our tour of Milford Sound was cancelled due to weather related road closures, our planner quickly rebooked us on a trip to Doubtful Sound giving us the opportunity to still experience the beauty and tranquility of Fiordland National Park.Sydney is an amazing city with an outstanding transit system. Book a Blue Mountains tour to see the countryside but don't miss out on exploring all that Sydney has to offer beyond the Opera House (the tour of the Opera House should be on everybody's list; a great take!). Manly Beach, the coastal walk from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach, Spice Alley for dinner, and the Sydney Fish Market are all not to be missed.

Luxury New Zealand Tour Review: Taupo, Rotorua, Tongariro National Park, Abel Tasman Park, Mt. Cook, Tasman Glacier, Lake Wanaka

My husband and I went on a wonderful trip to New Zealand visiting both North and South Island. The trip was originally planned for 2021 but had to be postponed until this year. I prefer working with an agent, and Lindsay from our travel agency was extremely responsive, offering helpful options and suggestions. Even though the time we spent on the North Island was right after the torrential rains, we modified the itinerary to spend four days in the Taupo area and two days in Rotorua.

We hiked in the Tongariro National Park and part of the Great Lake Pathway, sailed to view the Maori Rock Carvings, and visited Orakei Korako geothermal pools and Huka Falls in the Lake Taupo area. In Rotorua, we relaxed in the mineral pools of the spa and enjoyed the indigenous Maori experience at Te Puia.

The next 12 days were spent on the South Island where we had sunny and warm weather! One of our favorite places was Abel Tasman Park where we went kayaking and hiked the beautiful Coast Trek. We continued our adventures with a memorable heli-hiking experience on the Tasman Glacier in the Mt. Cook region, followed by visiting the unique blue penguins and Royal Albatrosses on the Otago Peninsula and enjoyed a hike and cruise on the famous Milford Sound in Fiordland National Park.

We ended our journey with three days in the Lake Wanaka area where we kayaked, hiked, and visited some of the region's famous wineries.

New Zealand Travel Review: Christchurch, Picton, Nelson, Marlborough District, Abel Tasman Park, Hiking, Cruise, Scenery

Our trip to the South Island of NZ was well planned. We spent a week in the Marlborough area. We enjoyed a lovely train ride from Christchurch to Picton where we spent three nights and went on two mail boat cruises in two different sounds. Our accommodations in Picton were exactly what we wanted: a small, well-appointed hotel with a lovely restaurant. Our transition from the train to the car rental went smoothly.

Next up was our three-day hike in Abel Tasman Park. We loved the hike and the other tourists in our group. I highly recommend the lodging; the food was lovely. My only recommendation is to let clients know this is not an easy hike as there are ups and downs. We were the oldest members of our group, most in their 60s. We did fine, but the hike was more challenging than my husband anticipated. Nevertheless, we did enjoy the scenery, lodging, food, and guides.

Our favorite two nights were at the retreat in Nelson. Absolutely fabulous. We were tired and worn out from hiking, so two days at the retreat were a treat. Great food, surroundings (including a pool and hot tub). The owner even did our laundry which was a bonus! She even made dinner reservations for us and arranged transportation so we didn’t have to drive. Our last night at a hot springs place was our least favorite. The food was fine, but the hot springs were too rocky for me to go in. Rooms were nice, and there was a steam room and massages. I think I was just ready to go back to Christchurch. It was very popular and there were a lot of people.

Franck arranged a wonderful trip for us, and I would highly recommend this travel company.

Australia & New Zealand Travel Agent Review: Sydney, Port Douglas, South Island, Wellington, Kayaking Doubtful Bay, River Rafting
Wonderful. It was well planned and went off without a hitch (other than the rain/flooding in NZ.) Our travel planner is well informed on the area. He listened to what we were looking for and the itinerary reflected that. It was action-packed but the activities did not repeat themselves. We did change a few of the hotels from what the planner initially suggested (as we wanted a king bed) and in hindsight--those were the least liked hotels (especially the hotel in Sydney and the Villas-a bit shabby.)We have friends that did Shotover River Rafting which is probably a more thrilling ride through the Gorge but due to the weather we were glad we were on Dart, as Shotover wasn't running. We did the the Queenstown Steamship cruise (the lunch option) on a day that one of the days that our 4 tours were cancelled due to the raining/flooding and really enjoyed that. Also the Sydney Harbor Lunch was very nice. The weather temperature was pretty good and heard from Franz Josef through Te Anau that the substantial rain was a century event. The tour guides did an excellent job, really enjoyed our guide from Walkabout Cultural and our guide from the Doubtful Bay Kayaking (Doubtful was really more stunning than Milford). We did hit a Millers Point hotel on our first day in Sydney (nice late afternoon activity/view) and would recommend restaurants:1. An international dish restaurant in Port Douglas (best dinner of the trip)2. Makers of the best peanut butter (for a novelty PB snack) in Wellington3.Seafood and Vegetarian restaurant in Christchurch4. Italian in Wanaka (best to make rsvps)5. Hamburger restaurant in Queenstown (for the novelty) and the Pub on the wharf for a good $20 dinner and live music at 8pm

Travel Review: Vacation in New Zealand & Fiji, Nelson, Te Anau National Park, Abel Tasman, Doubtful & Milford Sound, Pahia

This travel agent and the travel company team were out of this world! They crafted an amazing four-week adventure for us in New Zealand and Fiji. We started in Te Anau, NZ, where we focused on hiking and boating to both the Milford and Doubtful Sounds. We flew from Te Anau to the Nelson area at the top of the south island and fell in love with Mapua, located just 30 minutes from Nelson. We explored the Abel Tasman area extensively there. Next, we traveled (by plane again) to Russell, just across the way from Pahia and Kerikeri. It was a dream of a place, and we continued to hike, sail, and eat amazing food and drink delicious wines. Our accommodations couldn't have been better! Our travel company thought of everything! Last stop was Fiji - this their idea - make a stop in a super relaxing place on the way home back to Texas. The resort was out of a picture book - we had an extraordinary villa with our own plunge pool - the service, food, and staff were beyond amazing. We highly recommend this company - even when we had a travel snag, our agent answered his cell straight away and was on call to help us get to a solution. Can't say enough good things about him and his team!

South Pacific Vacation Review: Australia & New Zealand, Aukland, Sydney, Wellington, Rotorua, Hobbiton, Doubtful Sound

~~I retired and my wife and I decided it was time to take the trip to New Zealand and Australia that we had been talking about for quite some time.  I discovered Zicasso while doing my initial research for the trip and decided to give it a try, in addition to the many standard tours we were looking into.  I had many different firms provide proposals and after doing my due diligence I settled on this firm.

Our agent listened and consistently provided options and insights that resulted in a month long itinerary that promised to deliver the experiences we were looking for.  She was a pleasure to deal with.

We spent two weeks in New Zealand beginning in Auckland, moving south through Hobbiton and Rotorua where we gained a deep appreciation for the Maori people and their culture.  Then on to Wellington the capital.  The ferry to Picton and the train to Christchurch were inspiring.  Then we drove from Christchurch to Mt. Cook and then on to Queenstown.  The night we spent on Doubtful Sound was the all-around highlight of the trip.  All throughout the tour guides, drivers and accommodations exceeded expectations.  Then we were on to Australia where our first stop was Sydney.  Alongside the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge a highlight was a half day guided tour of the city in a 1964 Holden.  Then we were on to Cairns and Port Douglas where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest awaited.  Our day on the Reef was extraordinary.  Snorkeling off the beach at Low Isle was an experience to remember.  Our day on the Daintree River and in the rainforest was unforgettable.  While driving we stopped as a male cassowary and four chicks crossed the road and disappeared into to the bush.  Now we were on to Ayers Rock where the magic of Uluru awaited.  The Sounds of Silence dinner in the desert as the sun set with Uluru in the distance and didgeridoo in the background was magical.  As our time was growing short we were off to Melbourne where we joined a tour on the Great Ocean Road.  Wow, the Twelve Apostles and the coast exceeded our expectations.  What a great place.  Only matched, maybe outdone by the hosts of the B&B’s we stayed at.  We’re not big B&B folks, but the Lock Ard and Little River B&Bs were perfect and we will try more in the future.

Our agent had truly delivered a trip of a lifetime.
