Lima – Luxurious Lima
Arrive in the stunning city of Lima, the capital city of Peru. The center of the city is filled with gems to be discovered, from the wondrous architecture to the city’s conquistador past. The citrusy scent of fresh ceviche beckons to you. Tour through the city, on your own or with a guide, and experience the fabulous and vibrant life of Lima. The cathedral stands tall along the Plaza de Armas; spires rise high into the air with Spanish opulence on either side of the entrance. The bells chime on the hour and fill the square with music. Wander into Lima’s old train station, now a cultural center known to the locals as Casa de la Literatura Peruana, which means House of Peruvian Literature. The façade of the building glows yellow in the warm Lima sun. The white painted pillars stand out against the yellow and build upward towards the ticking clock. The interior shines with colorful stained glass, the variety of colors shimmering along the floor. Where once the scent of polished tile would linger along the station, now the rooms are perfumed with books that show the deep range of Peruvian literary works.
Wander around and through the stunning architecture of Torre Tagle Palace. The palace is considered to be one of the most stunning pieces of architecture in South America due to the unique elegance and grace of early 18th-century styling. The coat of arms of José B. Tagle is still hung above the door as the pink façade stands out against the hues of the city. Two sensationally carved wooden balconies adorn the façade and flank the stone-carved entrance. Venture inside to see the courtyard, styled like a Spanish villa, where wooden balconies wrap around the building and showcase the designed tile floors below. There is also plenty of time to visit Miraflores, one of Lima’s modern and majestic residential neighborhoods. The green of the grass and trees radiates against the blue of the sea. You can hear the gentle rush of the waves as they lap against the sand. The breeze brings in the sweet and salty aroma of the water. Visit the statue of lovers along the Calle de las Pizzas, where their comfortable embrace sits in stone forever along the shore.

In general, the trip was laid out and organized very well. We always had a pick up and drop off and they were always punctual and very helpful. All but 2 of the tours of were excellent. Our guides in Arequipa, Puno/Colca Canyon, Cusco/Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca, Lima, Machu Picchu were all absolutely amazing. They made the tours and the sites very enjoyable, interesting, and they felt well worth the price paid. The remaining 2 left much to be desired. The tours were a bit boring and both men seemed to repeat themselves quite a bit. They were not very engaging at all. Also one guide and his driver, did something I've never seen before - they ordered food and arranged a pickup on the side of the road. I have taken many, many tours and have never see such a thing before. I understand the gentlemen need to eat, but this to me seemed very unprofessional. Not to mention, it's a little disconcerting that the person driving a very large tour bus is attempting teat a meal with a fork and knife at the same time.
Overall, the trip was excellent and I have very few complaints. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

This was my first booking through Zicasso and their recommend agent in Lima. Our journey was a 17 day trip which included Lima, Arequipa, Chivay (Colca Canyon), Puno (Lake Titicaca), Cusco, Sacred Valley, and of course, the most amazing of all - Machu Picchu! The itinerary was great, hotels were wonderful (especially the breakfasts), and the transfers/logistical arrangements were all spot on. Our travel agency provided a helpful and friendly representative in each location who met us, took us to our hotel, briefed us on the activities for the following day(s), and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. The price was very competitive and fair. Service was A+. While we were "on our own" in terms of setting our own itinerary, our agency hooked us up with different small group tours (usually 15 or less people in a minvan, except for the long haul transfers, which were on a comfortable bus) at each location to see the sights. We had a private guide for Machu Pichhu. This approach combined the economies of group tours with the freedom of individual travel. All the guides were fantastic and we enjoyed meeting new people each day.

Trip:
We visited Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Lake Titicaca, Lima over the period of 8 days. It was very well planned as per our expectations, level of services and facilities. Every day was planned with enough activity as well as time for us to explore on our own too. Since all of us are Vegetarian, that requirement was very well thought and planned for each day. Every day of our trip was full of seeing visiting great natural and historical sites in the region. We loved the nature, culture, food and history of all the areas that we visited. Overall entire trip went well without any problems. For us because of language issue and tons of things needed to be arranged for our trip our choice of Zicasso was the best.
Travel Company:
After my initial request at Zicasso I received 3 proposals for our Peru trip. All of those were good but varied in price range. I talked to all of them and then selected one travel company's proposal. I can not praise enough because the travel company pulled all the stops. The travel specialists completely customized our trip as per our requirements. The travel company took care of all minor details of like airline check-in and boarding passes to hotel check-in, all entrance tickets, restaurant reservations, etc. The travel company also provided us with an App that had all the information of our trip that we could access off-line too. I would recommend Zicasso and the travel company to anyone who appreciates well planned tours.

Our trip was arranged and booked by this agent at this travel company. We were in Peru from May 10 thru May 22. We visited The Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco, Lake Titicaca, and Lima. Our agent also made dinner reservations for us at the Cicciolina restaurant in Cusco and Astrid & Gaston restaurant in Lima. We even got a chance to meet him in Cusco as he was nice enough to stop by with his two children and see us at our hotel in Cusco. He is a gentleman and the best travel agent we have ever worked with. The whole trip was flawless. People picked us on time. Tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The hotels were clean and staff were extremely helpful. There is nothing else we could have asked for. We were very fortunate to have been referred to this agent. Working with a travel agent who lives in the country and has visited the places he recommends certainly paid off. If anyone is thinking of taking a trip to Peru this agent is the person who you want to plan your trip. We can't thank him enough for the trip he planned for us. Also, both before and after we booked our trip with him I have many questions about the trip and the final Travel Document. He was highly responsive in answering my questions and providing us with the information we needed. I don't know what else I can say. If this agent ever comes to visit Tennessee (we live in Franklin just South of Nashville), we told him he and his family are welcome to visit!
Your overall comments on Zicasso
My wife found you on the internet. We talked with many travel agents before she found you but we were never comfortable with them. They just farmed out what we wanted to another travel agent who booked Peru. As we learned from our agent they were grossly inferior. Only when we found this agent did we feel like we were talking to someone who knew what they were talking about. He was also sensitive to the cost of the trip.

We just came back from a private 14-day-tour of Peru with this travel company. We visited Lima, flew over the Nazca Line, went to the Amazon jungle, visited the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco, then finished up with the Lake Titicaca. Overall we had a great time. We are very happy with the itinerary, all the transferrings, most of the hotels and tour guides. Before the trip, we were worried about the mosquitos in the jungles and the altitude of the high lands. But we barely got any mosquito bites due to the dry season. We had spent several days in Sacred valley before heading to Cusco, nobody in our party had altitude sickness.
