Detailed Description

South Africa has always has its own take on adventure. You don't just go horse riding here, you take a horseback safari with galloping zebra herds. Canoeing through a lagoon includes circumnavigating hippo pods. Table Mountain entices you skyward, and then encourages you to jump off the side on one of the world's longest commercial rappels. Helicopter rides, diving with great white sharks, walking safari with elephants; South Africa is an adult playground, a realm of adventure that matches thrills with charms. This 12-day tour connects South Africa's most unique adventures, with five nights in Cape Town, three in the Sabi Sands game reserve, and three on St Lucia amongst the iSimangaliso wetlands. Providing a counterpoint to the adrenaline is a series of exceptional accommodations, including a decadent oceanfront hotel and a treehouse lodge in the heart of the savannah.

Cape Town immediately compels, Table Mountain rising imperiously above the Atlantic Ocean. Adventure comes in all styles here, including a Table Mountain rappel and driving a vintage WWII sidecar to the southwestern tip of Africa. Nature defines the city and a helicopter flight offers the ultimate panorama, showcasing how the suburbs are nestled into the folds of the mountain. Follow the Atlantic waves around the peninsula and you reach Shark Alley, a fabled haven for great whites. Seals must run a gauntlet whenever they wish to dive for fish and shark cage diving offers the ultimate view of the spectacle. No diving experience is required, as you're essentially suspended in a cage as the great whites swim past. While it might sound alarming, just like all the experiences featured on this itinerary, shark cage diving has an exemplary safety record.

You fly from Cape Town to Kruger, South Africa's most famous safari ecosystem. A day of game drives acquaints you with the great mammals, particularly the abundance of rhinos, lions, and elephants. By staying in the private Sabi Sands reserve, you're able to get closer. Gallop alongside the ungulate herds on a horseback safari, then spend a day walking into a savannah that's packed with wild animals. On both these experiences, the focus is on avoiding the predators and getting close to the charming world of African wildlife. Fly to St Lucia for three days on a white sand beach, with Indian Ocean waters lapping gently and monkeys shouting from the trees surrounding your lodge. You'll combine the sunbathing with canoe and boat safaris into the iSimangaliso wetlands, home to large populations of hippo, elephant, and primates.

South Africa, Botswana & Zimbabwe Luxury Travel Review: Cape Town, Kruger National Park, Okavango Delta, Wildlife, 2-Week Trip
Neil did an awesome job curating our 2-week trip. He helped us to minimize the travel time from Cape Town to our camp in Botswana (and onward to Zimbabwe and then back into Kruger Park area in SA).  Saw all the big animals in both Botswana and SA ... guides at "and Beyond" in Okavango Delta and in the game reserve in Sabi Sand respectfully were outstanding!

South Africa Tour Review: Luxury Africa Safari & Cape Town, Kruger National Park, Paragliding Off Signal Hill, Museums & Culture

Shortly after using the Zicasso site to send my safari inquiry out, I received a call from numerous agents all willing to help organize the safari of my dreams.      After careful consideration I chose our trip planner with this travel team.  She listened to my ideas, wish lists, hopes and expectations.  Not only did our trip planner fulfill all of my requests, she went over and above to ensure all my needs were met.  The entire trip was seamless.  I had to travel to Africa by myself one the first leg of the trip to complete a Medical Missions trip to Zimbabwe, and subsequently met my husband in Johannesburg, SA following my medical duties.  This trip planner ensured that my spouse was adequately care for in every detail.  She arranged transports to and from hotels and airports, helped get us through customs, porters, literally every small detail was looked after.      Our trip planner planned a most extraordinary adventure for us in Cape Town which was more than our expectations could ever have been.  We got to experience first-hand the rich Jewish Heritage of the Cape Town area, visit the Holocaust museum, the synagogue, and experience the rich culinary world Cape Town has become to be known.  Every restaurant was incredible!  We toured around the entire peninsula area with an amazing guide who was a Cape Town native.  Therefore we felt as if we got a genuine cultural experience and learned amazing things about South Africa which we had never known prior.      Then we were off to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve in the greater Kruger National Park for the safari of a lifetime.  Not only was the lodge astounding, but the icing on the cake was the chef was very familiar with Kosher dietary laws and was most accommodating to my needs.  We saw all the big five gaming animals on the first day.  Each and every experience we had was life-changing.  We made so many wonderful memories.  We look forward to our next adventure and would rank our experience with this travel company the best experience anyone could possible have.

South Africa Anniversary Trip Review, Africa Safari at Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Cape Town, Winelands
This was one of our favorite trips ever. This travel team did an amazing job putting together a city/safari combo trip for us. All the details were covered and we had a seamless trip. I outlined our time available, budget and rough itinerary and they did the rest.We started in Cape Town: Our hotel location was ideal and the service was good. Transfers to and from the airport were perfect. Our day tours to Cape Winelands and around the Cape were perfect and our guide was wonderful for both. All the restaurants we chose based on our trip planner's suggestion were delicious. We fell in love with Cape Town, it is just lovely. On to our safari in Sabi Sands. It was just wonderful!!! Arathusa Safari Lodge is incredible. Everyone on staff is great, but our ranger & tracker were just the best. I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. And, you can't believe how good the food can be in such a remote location. Again, the flights and transfers were so well-managed, we just needed to show up.This was the best experience I've ever had with a travel agent. Everything we requested was addressed, details we didn't even think about were already handled and his suggestions were all spot-on. When we go back to South Africa, this travel team will be our first call. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Travel Review: Africa Safari, South Africa, Pretoria, Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope, Stellenbosch, Sabi Sands Game Reserve

We are fairly seasoned travellers, and did a lot of homework before planning this trip. Nothing really prepared us for how fabulous it would be.  I'd say it was the trip of a lifetime, except that we fully intend to go back.

From first contact to last, this travel agency was a pleasure to deal with.  They were responsive to our ideas about what we wanted to do and see, and put together several itineraries which also included many suggestions that we had not thought of.

Ours was a private 3 week tour, beginning in Durban, then to the Sabi Sands game reserve (where we stayed at the Londolozi Founders Camp).  We took the Blue Train from Pretoria to Cape Town where we stayed a few days at the very lovely Cape Grace Hotel, and spent 3 wonderful days at the a wine estate near Stellenbosch.

Our travel agency arranged all of our transportation and excursions.  Everything went like clockwork:  all of our guides or transports were right on time, and without exception they were extremely pleasant and knowledgeable people.  We learned a lot about the country from each of them.

South Africa is a long way from Canada.  What made us feel very secure was that we had the personal cell phone number of our agent and knew that we could call her at any hour if something went awry.

The very best thing is that we never had to call!

I would recommend this tour company highly, and would definitely use them again,

Travel Review: Africa Safari, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kruger National Park, Cape Town, Okavango Delta, Wine Tours

We booked, what we thought would be the trip of a lifetime.  It was so fabulous in reality, that we think we need to go again!  We had turned almost all of the trip over to our travel agency to plan for us, giving them only a minimal outline of what we would like to see.  They planned the trip and only with a few minor changes (e.g. add a day for a wine tour in the Cape) we booked.  Frankly, we were a little nervous about placing a high level of trust in a company we only knew via Zicasso and the internet, but it was trust well placed and rewarded.  Our trip consisted of 3 days at Cape Town, a few nights at Londolozi in Sabi Sands/Kruger, a day at Victoria Falls, a few days at Chobe Game Lodge on the Chobe River, a few days at Savute, and the last few days in the Okavango Delta at Xugana Island Lodge.  Almost 3 weeks in total. All logistics were seamless with no problems whatsoever despite numerous hand offs and transports.

South Africa Safari Travel Review: Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Sabi Sabi, Plettenberg Bay

The safari tour company helped us design an incredible vacation. They did a wonderful job recommending things to do and places to go. We were in Cape Town for 5 nights, Stellenbosch for 2, Sabi Sabi for 4 and Plettenberg Bay for 2 days. Each place was more beautiful than the next. They were able to get us into Sabi Sabi at pretty late notice over the week before Easter. Sabi Sabi was wonderful. We were 10 people with 4 kids (3,5,6, and 8). We had our own vehicle and so the kids were able to go on all the Safari drives and we saw all big 5. The Elephun center at Sabi was beyond amazing and the kids fell in love with our driver Francois. In Cape Town, we stayed in Camps Bay which I would recommend to anyone and Clouds Estate probably has the most beautiful views in the Stellenbosch (the driver that the safari tour company helped arrange at the lost moment, said that the de Graff family that bought the property next door for its view and purchased the wrong property). Flying around SA was easy and even though our luggage missed a connection from Kruger to George (thru Johannesburg) - we got it delivered the next day with absolutely no problem.
