Detailed Description
When the Moors of North Africa arrived in southern Spain in the 8th century, they discovered a landscape so wondrous that they decided to stay for 700 years. With its plentiful supply of water and lush vegetation, Andalusia was considered an oasis. The Moors made their new home an earthly paradise, a place that seemed more like a dream than a kingdom. Over several centuries, this ancient Moorish empire became one of the most magnificent civilizations the world has ever seen. Under Islamic rule, a multicultural society of Muslims, Jews and Christians flourished. Andalusia’s fascinating legacy of cultural heritage is seen in its magnificent historic monuments, which are resplendent examples of Islamic architecture and design.

I cannot speak highly enough about our 3 week trip to Spain and the services provided by this travel company. Everything was seamless. The private guides were interesting and knowledgable. We felt that they were more than just guides. It was like we had a friend in each city. They gave us restaurant tips as well as tips on sights we should see on our days of leisure and on entertainment ideas. We were made to feel like honored guests at various activities. There were so many highlights. We had an insider's flamenco experience where a gypsy family and friends explained each facet of flamenco and then performed it for us in a tiny theater. We had a wine tasting in Ronda with the owner of the winery. We sat under an avocado tree and met the owner's daughter and a Hungarian couple and a few other people. The wine was flowing and cheeses and iberico ham was served. We never opened our wallets for the various activities. In Barcelona the wonderful guide got us in ahead of the long lines. This was true with all the guides in all the cities. In this way we made the most of our time as we did not have to wait in long lines. We enjoyed two tapas tours in Madrid on our first night and in Seville. The tapas are different in the two cities justifying two tours. We then went back on our own to the tapas places which we never would have found on our own. We thoroughly enjoyed a cooking class in Barcelona that began at 9:30 am with a shopping tour at La Boqueria market to buy ingredients for gazpacho and seafood paella. We were there until 3pm. We enjoyed the teacher, the food, the wine, the other members of the class. Private drivers arrived early in upscale immaculate cars. In the Ronda area we had a driver and a guide. You need a very skilled driver to navigate the very narrow streets. The hotels were fabulous, some with beautiful courtyards. We were upgraded to a junior suite in a beach resort in Marbella. We have had private guides in the past through other travel agents who were not as excellent as the guides provided by this travel agency. This trip exceeded out expectations in every way.

Wonderful trip, well designed with informative guides and drivers, In between tours at the Prado and The Royal Palace, we were able to spend time alone exploring Madrid. We traveled to Toledo, Sevilla, Ronda, Granada and then to Marbella for several days at the end of our trip.

Wow, just wow! This 26-day trip through Spain was absolutely fantastic. While the process of planning a trip can be overwhelming, it was made easy with the assistance of Zicasso and the travel company. The travel agent really listened to what I wanted to see and do, and came up with a perfectly paced itinerary that included Madrid (day trip to Toledo), Sevilla (day trip to Ronda), Granada (a visit to Córdoba along the way), Barcelona, San Sebastián (and small villages), and Bilbao, with day trips to small villages and the La Rioja wine region.
We had a nice combination of planes, trains, and automobiles traveling across Spain. Our private guides were all very knowledgeable, engaging, and very enjoyable. Our drivers were on time, meeting us at airports and our hotels.
The hotels they picked for us were all wonderful, centrally located in the cities and within walking distance of all of the things we wanted to do.
Our agent was very responsive to all of my questions prior to the trip and we received a beautiful layout of the itinerary, which not only gave dates/times of each activity, but also a history of what we were seeing. We also received a list of recommended restaurants for each town we visited (which we used a couple of times).
The entire team at the agency was wonderful and available 24/7 while we were in country. Thankfully, the trip ran so smoothly that I only reached out to them a couple of times to let them know what a great time we were having. I would definitely recommend working with this team if you are planning a trip to Spain!

The trip was 5 star in every way. All of the drivers were on time at the airports, train stations and hotels. The accommodations were all wonderful and centrally located. The tour guides in every city were superb. The itinerary was 2 days in Barcelona where we enjoyed a tour of the city by bicycle and a wonderful tapas class, a high speed train to Sevilla where we stayed for 2 days and picked up a car. We drove all through Andalucia visiting Ronda, Granada(Alhambra) and the beach town of Nerja. We dropped the car off in Malaga and took the train back to Madrid where we spent a day in Toledo and closed with dinner and the finest Flamenco show in all of Spain. Our travel representative prepared a wonderful journey for my wife and me. I would recommend this travel agency with a grade of A+............Harold S
