Detailed Description

You can experience the many festivals of charming cities and the lively atmosphere of the locals when you travel to Spain during the month of October. You will surely be enamored by the country’s laid-back lifestyle, welcoming culture, and endless festivities.

You will begin your seven days of festival-hopping in the illustrious capital city of Madrid. Here, the hurried pace of life is marked by speedy mopeds that circle central plazas and weave in and out of traffic. The high-speed action stalls to a lull in the early afternoon hours because locals partake in a siesta, which is a nap. As you tour the city, you will visit the Royal Palace, Parque El Retiro, and the Reina Sofia Museum. You also witness many of Madrid's stunning facades during Architecture Week. In the evening, you will venture to the Plaza Mayor to sample an array of delectable tapas paired with a glass of cana.

After enjoying major metropolitan life, you will head to the quaint town of Conseguera. If you book this trip in October per our recommendation, you will visit this city during its iconic Saffron Festival. You will learn the vital role the spice plays in Spanish cuisine before sampling some saffron-induced staples, such as Spain's rice medley known as paella.

The charm and beauty of southern Spain are truly unparalleled. You will see just why when you explore the elegance of Sevilla, Marbella, Nerja, and Cadiz. First, in Sevilla, you will listen to the soothing strums of Spanish acoustic melodies as they fuse with the syncopated beats of flamenco music. When you venture to the cities of Nerja, Cadiz, and Marbella, you will experience the true vibrancy of festival life paired with the immaculate landscapes of white-sand beaches.

Spain Family Tour Review: Seville, Madrid, Mijas, Malaga, Marbella, Granada, Marbella, Lisbon, Flamenco, Museum, Winery, Cruise
Our daughter Sophie had been studying abroad since January in Seville, Spain. We needed to plan a family trip to see where she was living and enjoy her experiences there. We live in Minneapolis, Minnesota and had no idea where to even begin with our adventures in Spain!  So, I went online and through many reviews of travel agencies, I found Zicasso to have great reviews. Once we decided on a really good fit with Rosa from the travel agency who teams up with Zicasso for the region you are visiting. We flew out to join our daughter mid-May. ( we booked everything with our Guide Rosa about 6.5 months ahead of time) She sent us an App called UnMapped and we had full itinerary, contact names, phone numbers of drivers, tour guides, our main contact email and text through What's App. So I never felt lost or misguided. They took care of us from the moment we got off the airplane in Madrid, to a speed train to Seville, daily tours and guides and then finally our driver to pick us up and get us to the Malaga airport.  With 6 people in our party, this made things so easy so we could simply enjoy our time together on a family vacation in Spain. We had an awesome journey to the southern beauty of Spain's Andalucia region. Cities include Seville, Ronda, Mijas, Malaga, Marbella, Granada & a layover in Portugal's Lisbon. We used Zicasso - a travel agency with Rosa. I highly recommend this company. So many ways we enjoyed the vibe of Spain- from guided walking city tours, Tapas & Flamenco, wine tasting at a Vineyard ( the Flamenco museum and show was absolutely stunning!) A visit to the moorish cultural palace & fortress Alhambra in Granada, variety of cathedrals, Picasso museum, the Royal Alcazar Castle in Seville and a winery visit to Chinchilla in the rolling hills of Ronda. Sophia our daughter even surprised us with a special boat cruise on the Guadalquivir River in Seville with a champagne toast! Our feet are tired and hearts are full! What an adventure! Don't stumble around when you take a trip- hire a Guide to do it right! Bravo to Rosa and her entire team that Guided us- drivers included- were phenomenal!!!  5 plus Stars!!!

Our travel agency planned a two week, multi-city trip for us, covering Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Granada, Seville, the White Villages and Barcelona.  They arranged in-country hotels, transportation, drivers, guides, restaurant reservations and tours.  They did an excellent job on all fronts:  Professional, friendly, thoughtful and thorough.  Highly recommended.

Spain is amazing.

The tour specialist was always very attentive and willing to help us. This is the type of trip that we were looking for, a trip where we had time to discover places, as well as time to relax and enjoy the journey at our own pace.

Not having to worry about transportation or parking, but instead having a driver to pick you up at the hotel or the airport is the best thing ever. Getting to the hotel, and finding everything organized and ready as well as being able to explore the city at our own pace was something that we had been looking for.

The staff in charge of our transfers and our guides were excellent. We enjoyed a lot visiting Segovia, Granada, Palmas de Mallorca, Valencia, and Toledo. in Seville, we had the best tapas tour, and a very knowledgeable guide.

I can not wait for the day we get to plan another trip with you.

Thanks for everything.

Travel Review: Luxury Spain Tour, Barcelona, Granada, Cordoba, Madrid, Sevilla, Toledo, Ronda, Food & Wine Tours, 17-Day Trip

Perfect! This was our first experience using Zicasso, and we were extremely well pleased with the concept, and with the company we selected. Our planning for this trip of 17 days in October began in January, when we first selected them among the companies we were referred to, and outlined our plans, desired itinerary, and interests in an extensive telephone conversation with the rep.He and we were in frequent touch by email and phone over the next two months to refine our program. We decided to drop one city from our itinerary; we altered our original flight plans for arriving/departing Spain, added/subtracted some activities; approved places where we might want a guided tour and those where we would not. Throughout, the rep was an effective and capable advisor, offering suggestions (include a visit to Toledo), using his expertise to recommend the best itinerary for the trip based on train/air times and choke points (how to include a stop in Ronda); taking local holidays into account, even quickly preparing an alternate itinerary at one point when it appeared our party would have to be just 2 rather than 4.We signed a contract and paid a deposit in March to finalize our plans. In ensuing months, the company worked to nail down the details: train and air travel within country; pickups/drop-offs at hotels/airports; car service for excursions by road; reservations at hotels we had chosen based on the rep's recommendations; tickets for museums or events, especially those that often need to be obtained in advance. We had chosen from the start to do our own research and selection of restaurants, but the company also offered an extensive list of possibilities in the various places were visiting; and once we made our decisions, the company kindly made all the reservations for us, fitting the exact times in with our schedule of other things. All this was magically and effectively done for us without a lot of effort or time on our part, so by October 1, there was little to worry about except boarding the plane. From the moment we landed at Barcelona, to the date we departed sixteen (actually seventeen) days later, everything went like clockwork. It became clear that the rep and his team were personally committed to ensure that things would proceed without a hitch. By reports from drivers and guides, they often knew before we did that we might be running a little late somewhere, and made small adjustments accordingly.  Of course, there were minor snags - in one case, due to a miscommunication between a guide and a driver, we couldn't find our driver, and he couldn't find us; and in the jammed ancient streets of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, we were surprised to find a vehicle could only get as close as two blocks from the front door of our hotel -- but those were rare exceptions.  In addition, we and the rep communicated as needed by phone and text, for example when we decided to cancel a reservation at one restaurant. More important, when our airline cancelled our departure flight with one day's notice, we of course had to work out our alternate flight with the airlines directly, but the company took some pressure off by getting our stay at our hotel extended (and of course adjusting our transport to the airport).Hotels: In the four places where we had set up overnight stays (Barcelona, Granada, Sevilla, and Madrid), for which the company had recommended the hotels, we were very happy with their choices. We had expressed a preference for smaller hotels  in a historic building, and the rep's recommendations did not disappoint - everywhere, we found wonderful accommodation with friendly, helpful staff (most also had their own restaurant). After the trip, we tried to agree on a favorite - but all were favorites, albeit with different features.Guides: Last, but most important, was the rep's success in selecting such excellent guides for our city, museum, and food/wine tours. In each case, our guide was a native of the city we were in; in each case, they were not only expert in their fields but had a lot of great, interesting information to impart about local customs and legends, shopping, and institutions. Our guides added immensely to our enjoyment and learning from the trip – they made a world of difference. The "bottom line" is that if/when we plan more travel in Spain, we will definitely work with Zicasso, and hope to have the chance to work again with this company and their rep.
