Travel Review: Africa Safari, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Serengeti, Okavango Delta, Cape Town

This Africa safari travel company arranged the trip of a lifetime! We visited South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Kenya, staying at top drawer accomodations, flying from place to place, meeting wonderful hosts, and, most importantly, seeing the scenery and all the wild animals we had hoped for!

Our agent arranged all the lodging and connections, and made sure that someone met us at each transfer point, which was most reassuring for us. She picked excellent facilities and was very adaptable, as, for instance, when we asked to change dates, or when one of the flights we were to take was de-scheduled after out plans had been made.

Our odyssey began in Cape Town at a marvellous hotel on the Albert and Victoria wharf, from which we visited Table Mountain one day and the Cape of Good Hope the next, followed by a day visiting the shops and the Aquarium in the Wharf Area.  We then flew to Sable Alley Camp in the Okavango region, a wonderful base for game drives. After three nights there we flew to Ilala Lodge, from which we walked to Victoria Falls, an awe-inspiring wonder of the world. Next a flight and road transfer to the Serengeti Sopa Lodge, a first class hotel that was our base for three days of game drives in the Serengeti, each more amazing than the last. Our last excellent game drives were from the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge when we explored the Crater. Finally we spent the Night at an excellent Arusha lodge to be near the airport for our flight to Nairobi and then on back to the USA.

Our guides on the game drives were friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife we encountered; we were especially gratified to learn that they were both also very well versed in birds. We identified almost 40 beasts and over 100 birds!

We'd like to add that when we signed up for the tour, we thought that it might be a bit pricey. By the end, however, we wondered how this company could provide such an experience for the price!

Travel Review: Luxury Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, & Zimbabwe Africa Safari, Maasai Mara, Ngorongoro Crater, Victoria Falls
This travel company was the perfect choice for us. We wanted a custom made vacation focusing on the migrations and the wildlife, and we got it in spades from our very attentive specialist. No questions were too small for her to answer, and she responded very quickly, usually within one day. Our camps were situated so that we optimized our time. We even saw a migration across the Mara River right from our camp site, alligators and all. The camps were comfortable and because they were limited to just a few sites, (maybe 10 or 12) we felt catered to. We had the opportunity to photograph all of the big 5 animals in our first camp site, Entim in the Masa Mara. In Tanzania we witnessed a huge migration across the river. The views of the grassland savannah were amazing. Seeing the Crater in Tanzania was a nice respite since we stayed in a lodge. One day in the crater was just right to enjoy this unique environment. Even though it was the dry season Victoria Falls didn't disappoint. The Zambia side of the Falls was totally dry but our Zimbabwe viewpoint gave us the drama we were looking for. The Hotel held up to its reputation...pure British and elegant.  Kruger National Park gave us a different bushy savannah and the animal activity was exciting to see, like leopards dragging its prey up a tree for safety and wild dogs trying (and failing) to take down a zebra.

Africa Travel Review: Cape Town, Wildlife Safari, Pumba Game Reserve, Victoria Falls

In one word - AWESOME!  We are a party of 8 from NY -  we started at the PUMBA Private Game Reserve, saw every animal under the sun and more, ate wonderful food, loved the accomodations, felt like we were taken care of in every way.  Next stop was Capetown and the Mount Nelson Hotel - old world luxury and charm - beautifully appointed rooms, wonderful buffet breakfast.  We toured the Peninsula, saw the sunset from Table Mountain, hiked Lions Head - ate at the waterfront and had tons of fun at Star Dust and Moyo.  Final stop was Victoria Falls - we toured the falls from both the Zimbabwe and Zambia sides, took a dip in the devils pool and had a fantastic lunch on Livingstone Island.   We spent a morning walking with the lions - got to touch and pet them and walk thru the wilderness with them - what an experience!  We spent the day at CHOBE in Botswana and saw so many hippos and giraffes and cape buffalo.  A trip of a lifetime and all arranged by the caring staff at our tour company.  They asked what we wanted to do, listened to all our requests and made it happen for us.  Such a smooth trip from start to finish.

Travel Review: Luxury Africa Safari, South Africa & Zambia, Cape Town, Serengeti, Masai Mara, Victoria Falls

My wife and I recently travelled to South Africa - Capetown & Kruger Park Safari, and then to Victoria Falls (Zambia). It is a trip that I have dreamed about all my life: from the time I was a young child and keen wildlife enthusiast, I longed to go on a safari; as an adult, I very much wanted to see Victoria Falls.

I just returned from an 8 day trip of a lifetime, where my wife and I were privileged to enjoy all these amazing places. No exaggeration, this was the best trip my wife and I have ever taken and we are seasoned travelers. The natural beauty, character, and charm of Cape Town, Kruger Park, and Victoria Falls are enough to take one's breath away - just on their own merits. However, when one layers in the customer experience I received from this company, and my travel specialist extraordinaire it was truly unforgettable.

I worked with this travel specialist for a year developing and fine-tuning what ended up being the perfect itinerary. We had a lot to pack in to 8 days, as we were leaving our three young kids at home; so time was definitely finite. Our travel specialist was responsive to every need or request I made; she was informative, considerate, and helped me in thoughtfully choosing options beyond merely providing them to me.

However, the trip as organized on paper can differ greatly than the trip in execution. My expectations were already high - this is where the trip and our travel specialist actually exceeded my expectations. There were a number of delightful little surprises along the way that I know our travel specialist and her company helped co-ordinate or arrange.

Every hotel we stayed at was unquestionably luxurious - among the best hotels we've stayed at. The recommended activities were all memorable and well planned logistically  (enough time for a quick rest before the next excursion, even on the jam-packed activity days).

I cannot fully express my appreciation to our travel specialist and this company for the best travel-related customer experience I ever had.

South Africa, Botswana, Zambia & Namibia Trip Review: Sossusvlei, Safari Tour, Krueger National Park, Victoria Falls
Our trip to South Africa, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia was an amazing trip having a large variety of sites, from cities to waterfalls (Victoria Falls) to wild animals in three different game parks and amazing desert colors. We did a lot of travelling, mostly by small charter planes. The basic itinerary was developed by us with a lot of input from our agent, Tanya, who finalized it and arranged all the accommodations, guides, travel arrangements, hotels, game parks etc. Not only were all the arrangements complete and met our requirements, but during the trip she constantly stayed in touch with us and was on top of every step of the way, including unforeseen changes (e.g., delay in flights). We travel frequently around the world, and this was one of our most successful trips.

Travel Review, Africa Safari to Zimbabwe & Botswana, Four National Parks, Victoria Falls

This trip was a wonderful experience and we will treasure the memories created during it for the rest of our lives. The travel agent we worked with is responsible in large part for the success of this trip. Starting with the thoughtful suggestion of the itinerary, based on my original inquiry, followed by the back and forth communication that resulted in the final itinerary. Before leaving for the trip, she was always available for any questions we had, and the information she sent us provided all kinds of useful information, as well as very precise instructions for all the lodges where we stayed, as well as all the transfers required. At our arrival at the airport in Johannesburg, where we had someone waiting for us, till our departure, everything worked extremely smoothly, allowing us to concentrate on what was really important to us; our journey over 4 different national parks in Botswana, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
