We asked Zicasso’s travel agent to wrap a two-week trip to Santiago and Buenos Aires – new destinations for us – around a one-week fly-fishing trip in Patagonia arranged separately. He and his team designed an outstanding itinerary, with boutique B&Bs, flights, guides, tours, drivers, and restaurant recommendations that exceeded our expectations. There is little we would have changed.
Besides experiencing new turf with well-located, luxury accommodations, our trip focus was local history, culture, art, food, and beverages
The Chileans and Argentines everywhere were welcoming; language was no obstacle. We walked all around our lodging neighborhoods to restaurants, bars, pharmacies, ATMs, convenience stores, and even a Santiago subway station. Uber rides were prompt and cheap.
Our travel operator’s guides were knowledgeable and professional, and enhanced each experience.
The itinerary had us exploring mural art, fileteado decorative painting, tango, music, and more.
Every meal was an adventure: completo hot dogs, Peruvian corn chowder, tiraditos, ceviche, empanadas, beef asados, dulce de leche, pisco, and carménère and malbec wines.See more

This is our 7th or 8th trip with a Zicasso travel specialist. This time with this travel agency, visiting the lake region from Chile crossing the Andes into Argentina. What an experience! Beautiful!!!! The trip was flawless from beginning to end. The choice of hotels throughout exceeded our expectations in quality, service, experiences and excellent accommodations. Our guides were excellent professionals and accommodated the experiences to our interest and physical level. The transfers were always puntual and we had no setbacks whatsoever.Lastly we were always in contact with the team utilizing WhataApp as we progressed in our travels. We highly recommend this travel company.

Diana and I cannot heap enough praise on Zicasso’s travel agents for the trip they planned for us. Everything went according to schedule and there were no problems.
Every pick-up was on time and the drivers were very attentive to our needs. Several engaged Diana in Spanish conversations as they were happy she was a porteño.
The hotel in BA was a hidden gem. The room and hotel were very clean, and the staff were outstanding. The agent at the desk even arranged for us to leave our luggage at the hotel after we got off the cruise ship three weeks after we checked out. (After two weeks in BA and Mendoza, we took a two-week cruise from Valparaiso, Chile, to BA, around Cape Horn.)
We used taxis and Uber in BA, and surprisingly, found our credit cards gave us a very favorable exchange rate. We did convert some dollars on the Blue Market, especially for taxis.
The hotel and vineyard in Chacras de Coria was very quaint and quiet. It was about 20 minutes from downtown Mendoza. It was a wonderful setting, but we thought it was closer to the city. We did a city tour with your guide.
We had two wonderful dinners at the hotel, in a restaurant that was literally in the middle of the vineyard. One night we had a parrilla with a young couple from Singapore. The vineyard tours you arranged were very interesting and we started tasting the fine malbecs at 10am! We also had an excellent lunch at a third vineyard.
We spent one night at a hotel in Valparaiso. It was our least favorite of the hotels we stayed at, but it was only one night and we did meet other people who were going on the same cruise. I will say that the hotel had an excellent breakfast buffet.
We wanted to have a nice seafood dinner for our one night in Valparaiso. We walked several blocks uphill (the word “flat” does not exist in Valparaiso!) and found a nice restaurant with music. When we left, we turned right instead of left and got totally lost. We finally called an Uber and it turned out we were very close to the hotel!
We spent a lot of time planning this trip with you and you were so patient and understanding of our requirements. You were able to work within our budget and we are so appreciative of the effort, knowledge, and time you put into our trip.
Muchas gracias to our travel agent!
