Argentina & Chile Trip Review: Iguazu Falls, El Calafate, El Chalten, Ushuaia, Santiago, Torres del Paine, Laguna de los Tres Hike
We have recently finished a 19 day trip to Patagonia (Chile & Argentina) and Iguazu falls. Ezequiel helped us customize our trip. Pia, our destination host was extremely wonderful, responsive and available at anytime. Most of the local tour operators were good except transportation from Ushuaia airport to the hotel in a dirty old taxi. We have a mixed reviews of the hotels especially the hotel in Torres del Paine, all inclusive program which was not worth it. Food, excursions, attitudes of the staffs and some guides, customer service were below our expectation.  We like the Santiago hotel, the hotel in El Calafate and the hotel in El Chalten. We enjoyed the Trek to see Perito Moreno Glacier (amazing!), the Trekking & Canoeing, Off-roading in Ushuaia, the great adventure with the boat ride under the waterfalls. All of the tour guides were outstanding!Thank you to our travel team for the amazing trip!

Argentina Travel Review: Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Tango Concert, 2-Week Tour
Hotel in Buenos Aires was excellent with very friendly and helpful.Hotel in Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia were not centrally located and had limited shuttle service to the centro.Despite the fact that we had advised this travel company that we are very senior people (I am 80 years old) they scheduled this long bus ride to Puerto Natales and the time provided to us from El Calafate was in the morning but the bus is scheduled to go at 4:30pm. We cancelled and informed the travel company to book extra night at El Calafate, Flight to Ushuaia a day earlier and add a day at Ushuaia. We requested to cancel our Chile excursion and get the refund but your company failed to do it. We received a phone call from tour compay in Puerto Natales that they never received the cancellation request and had they received it a day or two earlier they could have refunded the money. Instead your company charged us additional for extending our stay in El Calafate and Ushuaia and to move the flight a day earlier.Total cost for all this, including not receiving the refund from Chile operator is estimated to be $3000.It was also very difficult to reach our representative in your office as well as the of hour emergency phone number. You charge 5 star prices but your service is worth 3 stars at best

Travel Review: Tour of Chile & Argentina, Patagonia, Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Isla Martillo, Perito Moreno, Tango, Wildlife

It was a memorable trip with seamless operation.  We will use this travel company for future S. America travel and recommend it to our friends.

My husband and I have been taking Argentine tango for a few years.  Many friends had visited Buenos Aires and raved about the experience.  We'd been planning a trip to pay homage to the birth place of tango, to soak up on the history of the land and culture.  We also wanted to visit Patagonia for the landscape, its flora and fauna.

We researched several travel sites to review our options.  This travel company became our top choice, not only for the high marks on customer feedback, but for its commitment of introducing tourists to the land in a socially and environmentally "Responsible" manner.

Thanks to our travel agents, we had an itinerary for early March, 2018, that combined tango in Buenos Aires with Patagonia.  Our travel team came to the hotel to greet us and brought a gift set of yerba mate with ceramic cup and wooden scoop crafted by local disadvantaged artists.  We appreciate that!

We had a wonderful "tango' guide to show us the Buenos Aires through tango lens.  We spent an afternoon sightseeing the city, the streets of La Boca and Carminito, learned the life and culture of the era, the art of Benito Quenquela Martin, Carlos Gardel, Filiberto, their influence in the development of tango.  At night we attended a milonga to see how the porteños do tango.  The next day our travel company arranged a tango lesson and a spectacular performance at the iconic La Ventana.  In addition to tango, the gaucho culture was well represented by a guitarist with a 12-string guitar and a lasso performance.

After BA we spent 3 days each in Ushuaia and El Calafate.  The transition to local operators was seamless.  We had a great time seeing 3 species of penguins, Magellanic, Gentoo and king penguins on Isla Martillo.  We also saw sea lions, fur seals, grey foxes, imperial cormorants, turkey vultures, southern giant petrels, black brow albatross, skuas, cauquens and caracaras, to name a few.  We saw the flag trees of the Tierra del Fuego bending to the force of wind, much like the tuckamores of the Newfoundland, Canada, we saw on a visit there.

We visited the Penitentiary and Maritime Museum in Ushuaia, did zip line at the Cerro Frias, ice walk on the Perito Moreno Glacier, and horse back riding at the Estancia.

Our travel company's recommendations on food were also remarkable.  We particularly enjoyed our hotel in El Calafate, its Patagonia lamb and pasta dishes were excellent.

Travel Review: Solo Argentina Tour, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Tierra de Fuego, Ushuaia, Iguazu Falls Boat Tour

My Argentina travel agency was very specific and very up to point with regards to the itinerary. Everything they placed within my itinerary was the exact description of the things I'd do and places I'd go. They are always available, and they are very attuned to the needs of their clients. I had the great opportunity of spending my vacation in Argentina and thanks to them it was by far my most memorable trip.

Now for specifics:

I would like to thank my drivers and my guides for the awesome tours I had in Buenos Aires,  Iguazu,  El Calafate, Bariloche, and in Ushuaia.

All of my hotels were very unique but all were great. I'd have to say my Bariloche stay was the easiest because I'm used to hotel services like that of this hotel.

The hotel in Buenos Aires is quaint but very accessible to the city.

My hotel in Iguazu I had a little bit of difficulty. The staff are not as engaging, and I felt like they try not to interact with me as much because I do not speak a minim of Spanish. The wifi was great, but I had to get out of my room to get some, as the wifi was only available in the lobby. It was also quite a ways to some establishments.

The hotel in El Calafate was just lovely. I felt like I was home. Breakfast was on point, the staff are very accommodating, and the area is just the right distance to main street and Lago Argentina.

My villa in Bariloche offered the most accommodations, with spas, pools, and restaurants. My room was big, and both the staff and breakfast were awesome.

My hotel in Ushuaia was also lovely. A far ways from the main street but it makes up for it for service.

Argentina Vacation Review: Buenos Aires, El Chaltén, El Calafate, Tierra del Fuego National Park, Hiking, Horseback Riding

Our travel agency made our trip to Argentina seamless and fabulous! Zicasso’s travel agent gave us a wonderful proposal, with nice hotels and excursions, as well as some restaurant recommendations.

All of the guides and drivers were top-notch, friendly, warm, informative, punctual, and professional, from the drivers who picked us up at the airports to the tango instructors in Buenos Aires, our glacier guide in El Calafate, the walking tour guide in Buenos Aires, our fly fishing guides in El Chaltén, our Tierra del Fuego guide, the horseriding guides in Ushuaia, and everyone else who made our trip the experience of a lifetime.

Our tour operator was there for us every step of the way during our trip via WhatsApp, answering questions and making recommendations and reservations for us.

Our agent helped us to plan our trip ahead of time with wonderful suggestions and getting us the hotels we requested, as well as making suggestions of others that turned out to be fabulous! We especially loved the hotel in Buenos Aires and the lodge in El Chaltén.

We also asked for recommendations and reservations for dinner a couple of nights to celebrate a birthday and NYE. Our travel team came through with wonderful restaurants and even sent a chocolate cake to celebrate one of our birthdays! The suggested self-guided hikes on our "free days'' were great too!

We highly recommend Zicasso's travel partner for any trip you are planning to Argentina! We cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you!

Review: Luxury South America Honeymoon, Chile, Argentina, Patagonia, Buenos Aries, Santiago, Punta Arenas, Perito Moreno Glacier

My wife and I booked our honeymoon in Chile and Argentina through Zicasso, which matched us with the local travel agent. Our trip included stops in Santiago, Chile, Punta Arenas to see the Penguins, an upscale all inclusive hotel just outside of Torres Del Paine national park, a glacier tour in El Calafate, and ended with two nights in Buenos Aires before returning home.

As you can imagine, the above required a great deal of coordination and our trip/honeymoon was absolutely fabulous. Every travel arrangement, transfer, hotel, and excursion was wonderful. All of our drivers/tour guides were on time, knowledgeable, and knew our travel itinerary exactly. We felt safe and confident that we would be well cared for the entire trip which allowed us to relax and enjoy our honeymoon.

This agency clearly has excellent relationships with outstanding local tour guides, and this allows them to execute seamless trips. We have no reservations in providing them with an outstanding 5 star review.
