This agency arranged a wonderful trip for us to Argentina and Chile (Buenos Aires, Mendoza, El Calafate, Torres del Paine, Santiago and San Pedro de Atacama). The itinerary was prepared with our input and budget considerations though a very easy interactive process with their team. The accommodations and tours were as promised and we had a wonderful vacation that included city tours, wine tasting and some more adventurous outings in Patagonia and the Atacama Desert. I can certainly recommend them for your travel needs without any hesitation. A big thanks to our travel planners and the rest of the travel team.

This travel agency was a perfect fit for our group of 3 couples/long time friends. The quality and expertise of the service started with the Company owner who I spoke with before retaining this company to assist. Our travel agent listened carefully to the makeup of our group, our varied interests, and vague ideas of what we all wanted to see. He put together an initial proposed itinerary that was relatively general in nature, but allowed us to modify after gathering input from the rest of our group.
After securing the initial itinerary our agent turned us over to eh very capable in country planner, who handled every issues with grace and immediate responsiveness. Over the course of several months there were inevitable changes to the itinerary as we worked through differing flight times, etc. The final changes to the itinerary were only a week or two before our departure, but there were never any problems, which is remarkable given the relatively complex plans for each member of our group.
After arrival in Santiago our in country planner was available to assist with every question, request for side trips, or assistance with communication issues with the hotel, guides, drivers, etc. Her responsive service continued as our journey continued to Torres del Paine, El Califate, and Buenos Aires. She helped arrange horseback riding at an Estancia for part of our group, Tango lessons for me and my wife, and a last minute city tour. Truly exceptional service throughout the planning, changes, and during the trip.

Travel can be unpredictable and putting yourself in the hands of strangers is a little scary. But from the first contact I had with our trip planner and and this tour company I felt things were going to be fine. He has extensive experience with Argentina and Chile and he was full of fantastic ideas. We had some suggestions for places we wanted to go and some requests (no 8 hour bus rides, plenty of time for photography etc) and he took them all into account. He also worked completely within our budget. For example, we suggested that we three ladies could share a triple to save some money if that was possible and our agent arranged for that everywhere, in big beautiful rooms. We loved every hotel selected for us by the tour company. They were beautiful and in gorgeous locations. Our trip planner had stayed in all of them. We selected some activities to be booked ahead of time which all proved to be excellent. Our trip consisted of; Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafante, Torres del Paine and Santiago. We had three interior flights which were very easy. The tour company arranged for us to be met everywhere and taken to our hotels. Always knowing that someone will be there to take you to and from the airports, from the first moment you enter the country, is a very reassuring thing. During our time there we had a personal contact who was always there to answer our texts when we needed something. We met her in Buenos Aires at the beginning of our journey and she was just delightful. I don't think we could have possibly put together this trip by ourselves from home. I know we couldn't have created the seamless, utterly amazing journey that we experienced. I wouldn't hesitate to use this tour company again if we return to South America or to ask Zicasso for help with another part of the world. All four in our party are so grateful for the beautiful way we were taken care of.

- Buenos Aires: accommodation, service
Pleasant staff and quite helpful. Breakfast was a bit limited and the gym/spa facilities not the best
- Transfers in Buenos Aires
Good
- Calafate: accommodation, service
Great views and good food. I struggled to get a front facing room so ended up with one facing the generators at the back. Main issue was the luggage rack, which was suspended against the wall and attached to a mirror, suddenly became dislodged while I was taking stuff out of my bag and fell to the floor. Surprised I wasn't injured but my concern would be if this happened with children around. I reported this to reception
- Tours and Transfers in Calafate
Well organised and enjoyable. Shame about the weather on PM trek.
- Estancia Cristina: accommodation, food, service, guiding
Heaven. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.
- Patagonia: accommodation, food, service, guiding
Clockwork and class. Got to know some pretty "interesting" people there...
- Santiago: accommodation, service
Average but practical.
- Tours, Transfers and Guide in Peru
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Amazing trek up Apu MP. Near miss at the airport on return leg.
- Inca hotel: accommodation, service
Homely hotel. Great room and facilities.
- Machu Picchu: accommodation, food, service
Wonderful place. Food was good too.
- Cusco: accommodation, service
Liked the location, being close to town. Room was quite small and claustrophobic. Window view was next door neighbour about 2 metres away.
- Touring in Colonia
Guide was friendly and place was pleasant. Was not very pleased about the no show transfer back to port.
- Charco: accommodation, service
Excellent all round

I could not have been more pleased with our travel company. This was our first time using Zicasso as well. We were put in touch with three travel firms, but the communication from this company was the best by far. We have typically booked our own travel in the past, so were hesitant about how this would work out for us. It was the best decision we made! The agents we spoke with were both exceptionally well-informed, fully on top of details and made it easy to do business with them. They were very fair in pricing and giving us flexibility to book our own international airfare (we had frequent points we were able to use). All accommodated with no problem. We loved our primary contact--no detail was too small and she provided her cell phone # for any concerns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She even answered on a Sunday night when we accidentally pocket-pressed. All you could ask for and more. They also informed us of a change in policy where travelers get a refund of the 21% hotel tax which became effective January 1st of this year--without us asking. Our contact did all the leg work to get that refunded for us--which was not insignificant and very much appreciated. This is an agency truly looking out for you--great customer service!!
We had a lot of concerns about our first trip to South America, having heard about Zika outbreaks and crime issues and eliminated Brazil for those reasons. Our concerns were addressed openly and honestly and our itinerary was developed to help minimize our concerns. We eliminated some things from our wish list (i.e. Salta) that I would not now eliminate having been to Argentina--but that leaves us things to see the next time we go.
Let me state that we both felt very comfortable with all of our plans and would visit both Argentina and Chile again. Of course, you do have to use common sense. We chose not to wear any jewelry or carry designer handbags/luggage. We also stayed alert while walking around and had no problems. Do not wear expensive watches--or even fake Rolex watches as one tourist did in our hotel. (He was robbed, but not hurt.) This is now true all over Europe as well as here though--we have a friend that wore a Rolex watch in Barcelona and was knocked over when robbed--dislocating his shoulder. (Six-foot four and 27 years old!) You can still look sharp, but don't flaunt wealth--again, just common sense.
With respect to the trip itself, we had a bit of bias toward Argentina as the city of Buenos Aires was much more what we liked vs. Santiago (which was also a good experience). But BA has more architectural beauty, sophistication and seemed cleaner in general to us. The drive to Santiago from the airport shows hovels and shanty towns a good part of the way in--hitting you with the extreme poverty that exists there. Stray and abandoned dogs were also everywhere--including the most popular tourist areas and homeless people were also found much more frequently. That said, the people in both countries were exceptionally warm and welcoming and the histories of great interest. We spent four nights in Santiago and it was the right decision so we did not have to move around constantly--but we were glad to take the full day trip to Valparaiso and a wine tour with our guide after a day touring the city. We also spent one day on our own and that was enough to see most important aspects of Santiago.
Let me say one more thing if you are the type of traveler who typically books for yourself: THINK AGAIN and USE THIS TRAVEL COMPANY! There are frequent strikes in South America (much like Europe) and unless you want to spend a fair amount of your time trying to re-map your itinerary and are able to speak fluent Spanish--use this company and rest easy.
