Argentina Trip Review: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, Iguazu Falls, Wildlife, Glaciers, Wine Tasting
By my standards, our trip to Argentina was complicated. Through Zicasso’s travel agency, we visited six locations (Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, and Iguazú), involving six flights. Overall, the trip proceeded smoothly, with only a few minor problems. I was amazed by the efficiency of the airlines, and the tours and tour guides at each stop were top-notch.

Argentina Travel Review: Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Tango Concert, 2-Week Tour
Hotel in Buenos Aires was excellent with very friendly and helpful.Hotel in Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia were not centrally located and had limited shuttle service to the centro.Despite the fact that we had advised this travel company that we are very senior people (I am 80 years old) they scheduled this long bus ride to Puerto Natales and the time provided to us from El Calafate was in the morning but the bus is scheduled to go at 4:30pm. We cancelled and informed the travel company to book extra night at El Calafate, Flight to Ushuaia a day earlier and add a day at Ushuaia. We requested to cancel our Chile excursion and get the refund but your company failed to do it. We received a phone call from tour compay in Puerto Natales that they never received the cancellation request and had they received it a day or two earlier they could have refunded the money. Instead your company charged us additional for extending our stay in El Calafate and Ushuaia and to move the flight a day earlier.Total cost for all this, including not receiving the refund from Chile operator is estimated to be $3000.It was also very difficult to reach our representative in your office as well as the of hour emergency phone number. You charge 5 star prices but your service is worth 3 stars at best

Travel Review: Solo Argentina Tour, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Tierra de Fuego, Ushuaia, Iguazu Falls Boat Tour

My Argentina travel agency was very specific and very up to point with regards to the itinerary. Everything they placed within my itinerary was the exact description of the things I'd do and places I'd go. They are always available, and they are very attuned to the needs of their clients. I had the great opportunity of spending my vacation in Argentina and thanks to them it was by far my most memorable trip.

Now for specifics:

I would like to thank my drivers and my guides for the awesome tours I had in Buenos Aires,  Iguazu,  El Calafate, Bariloche, and in Ushuaia.

All of my hotels were very unique but all were great. I'd have to say my Bariloche stay was the easiest because I'm used to hotel services like that of this hotel.

The hotel in Buenos Aires is quaint but very accessible to the city.

My hotel in Iguazu I had a little bit of difficulty. The staff are not as engaging, and I felt like they try not to interact with me as much because I do not speak a minim of Spanish. The wifi was great, but I had to get out of my room to get some, as the wifi was only available in the lobby. It was also quite a ways to some establishments.

The hotel in El Calafate was just lovely. I felt like I was home. Breakfast was on point, the staff are very accommodating, and the area is just the right distance to main street and Lago Argentina.

My villa in Bariloche offered the most accommodations, with spas, pools, and restaurants. My room was big, and both the staff and breakfast were awesome.

My hotel in Ushuaia was also lovely. A far ways from the main street but it makes up for it for service.

Luxury Argentina Tour Review: Fishing in Limay River, Horseback Riding, Wineries, Mountains, El Calafate, Lake Gutierrez, Art
First, we all agree that our Argentina trip was fully 5 stars in all respects. The people with this travel team were courteous and always available, especially through the message function in the travel app. They always knew exactly where we were in our trip which was comforting as we were new to Argentina. All pick-ups were on time and the drivers were helpful and polite. The guides were all first class; they were an important contributor to the overall quality of our experience. The trip overall was very well organized. Not also that the in-country flights were all on time with no lost baggage. The estancias were wonderful and we would recommend staying at least two full days at each one. There is so much to do there for those who like the outdoors, and the atmosphere there is very relaxing.  The estancias on Lake Gutierrez was elegant in a refined way, while the estancias in El Calafate was more rustic with a feeling of being at the ends of the earth. The food at both was excellent and the scenery was nearly unbelievable. The glacier boat trip is a must-do for all travelers and being in the VIP lounge is a great experience. Lots of fun to drink whisky with iceberg rocks! The mountains and ice fields are just spectacular. Not nearly as cold as we thought it might be.The day of visiting wineries in Mendoza was something that we were lukewarm about, but it was absolutely terrific. The wineries we visited were amazing works of architectural art. The wine was great and the food was just wonderful. The tours through the wineries were fascinating. What a great day!The horseback riding above Mendoza was very enjoyable, with a great guide and well-trained horses. Seeing so many condors, some close up, was exciting for us all. And wine and lunch at the cattle station was a new experience, lots of fun.Bariloche was great and so was El Calafate. So much to see and do, and we had such good weather. A particular standout was the day trip to the Valle Encantado. Another place to spend a couple of full days hiking, fishing in the Limay river, eating the wonderful food, and just relaxing. What a great trip!A couple of comments. the hotel in Mendoza needs to upgrade their beds and pillows. It was almost impossible to sleep well there. And, no in-room coffee. Good food and friendly staff, though. We would have been better off staying right in town for restaurant access, but others may prefer the rural location of the hotel. The hotel in Buenos Aires is 5 stars. Everything about it made us want to stay there longer. And the staff was very helpful in steering us to local places to eat. Palermo is charming and just chock full of terrific restaurants. There is a bistro restaurant that served a great dinner accompanied with equally good wines. Highly recommended. The Bariloche hotel is also very nice. Right on the lake, very welcoming rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.I could go on, but will bring my review to a conclusion. We could not have been more pleased with our first trip to Argentina and this travel team and Zicasso deserve all the credit. We would highly recommend Ibiza and would definitely have them plan our next trip to Argentina.Mike J.Corvallis, Montana, USA

Argentina Vacation Review: Buenos Aires, San Martin de los Andes, Villa La Angostura, Bariloche, El Calafate, Chalten, Ushuaia
We spent a month in Argentina, traveling from Buenes Aires to San Martin de los Andes, Villa La Angostura, Bariloche, El Calafate, Chalten and Ushuaia. Hugh and his team at the travel agency handled all of the travel arrangements and this was by far one of the smoothest trips we have ever taken (and we have traveled a lot!)  From our initial conversation through every detail of the trip, Hugh and his team listened to what we wanted our Argentina experience to be and they made it happen!  We felt like we had a whole team of people ready to assist with any request, any time.  All of our in-country travel went without a hitch, all drivers were on time and very helpful and professional.  Every restaurant recommended was outstanding, and excursions were top-notch with excellent providers.  Hugh and his team have excellent partnerships with hotels and providers throughout the country and we were continually impressed with the quality of all of their recommendations and bookings.  We plan to return to Argentina to visit the northern part of the country an we our first call will be to this travel company!

Review: Argentina Vacation, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier

My wife and I just returned from a 13 day argentina tour to Buenos Aires, calafate, Iguazú and Mendoza and we are so sad it’s over. This travel agent's team were exquisite hosts. We had 4 different destinations and at each location we were greeted by members of the team with our name on a sign. Our bilingual guides in Buenos Aires, calafate, Iguazú and Mendoza were all extremely friendly ran through the itinerary upon pick up at the airport and were always on time for all excursion pick ups. They each have their personal recommendations for places to eat in the relevant towns and we must say they were all excellent choices.

Our accommodations were all conveniently located and of high quality especially the hotel in calafate. The view of the bay and the morning breakfast deserves special mention.

All of our tours, Buenos Aires city tour- excellent and set the mood for our days at leisure knowing exactly what to do, Perito Moreno, two Iguazú tours (Argentina and Brazil side of the falls) and Mendoza three wine tours were all excellent and we wouldn’t have changed any of it.

The only factor I would change would be our flight time from calafate to Iguazú. We left calafate at 2pm and arrived in Iguazú around 10pm leaving little option for dinner. It may have been better to leave earlier in the morning to facilitate an earlier arrival in Iguazú.
